Great place!

We loved this remote hide away, close enough Leavenworth to enjoy the sites, yet beautifully peaceful. Lovely cabin. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the mountains.

Adorable wooden cabin tucked away in the woods with gorgeous mountain views. Cozy and just minutes from downtown Plain. Such a nice stay!!!

Great winter getaway. Owners are super helpful and friendly. You can sled on the property.

The cabin has everything you need and the space is really well laid out. Loved the loft, and the. separate bedroom and bathroom at the other end of the cabin.

This was our second annual best friend trip and the cabin dues not disappoint! So peaceful and beautiful. Close enough to Leavenworth and hiking trails to visit easily, but far enough away to enjoy the calm relaxation

This cabin in the mountains was a wonderful place to stay. A short drive up a windy road sits a beautifully built log cabin with a breathtaking view of the mountain ridge across the valley. You are far enough up the side of the mountain that you feel as though you were dropped into the backcountry where you feel that you have the wilderness all to yourself, even though the small town of Plain is just a short, 10min drive down valley. The cabin itself is was built with comfort in mind and one would have to be nuts not to feel immediately cozy while within its walls. There’s a screened in porch where you can sit and gaze at the mountains while having a meal and a large living room area in which to gather with each other after a long day of adventuring. We are excited to come back to experience this gem of a property during the winter months, although, it is kindly recommended that one have the proper vehicle and snow tires to properly traverse the road up to the cabin during the snow season. Beautiful views, peace and quiet in spades!

Our winter stay was wonderful! The cabin was lovely and well-appointed, with incredible views, and Jim was a very kind and considerate host who went out of his way to make our time everything it could be.

Jim was a great host, he messaged me quickly when I asked for activity recommendations for our family. It was dark and icy by the time we arrived so he came to check that we got to the cabin safely. The cabin was a delightful retreat and a short drive to Leavenworth for our holiday get away. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Cozy/Comfortable Cabin

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for a weekend in Leavenworth, not too far of a drive. We loved coming back to a nice/cozy place and relaxing by the fire every evening. The views were outstanding in the morning. Highly recommend!

Great Cabin

Great log cabin in the woods. Was a perfect get away, wood stove, everything you needed in the kitchen, very isolated and quiet. Property owner provided great communication. Would recommend for sure.

Great place to see the stars

Great location, overall clean, fun to sleep in a cabin and use the wood fireplace. We were able to go outside at night and look at the stars, seeing the big dipper totally awesome. Autumn in the woods was beautiful, a lot of red leaves, so beautiful.

Amazing mountain getaway!!

We had such an amazing stay at Sunshine Mountain. The location was perfect for my partner and I who were looking to get away for a weekend. We came during the Oktoberfest and the owner left us a list of some things to do in the area so we had plenty to do. The cabin was also so cozy in the mornings and evening. We had a lot of fun sitting on the porch playing board games.

The Perfect Place

I can't express how much we enjoyed this spacious, immaculately maintained property. Privacy in forested surroundings with a view of the valley below and the mountains across. We hope to be back again soon.
