VHR#3097 Welcome to Tatanka Cabin! Tatanka is the Lakota word for buffalo and this home is all about buffaloes. The owners are big fans of the Colorado University Buffaloes football team and their mountain home reflects their passion.

This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin in a great location, at the end of a private street with amazing mountain views. While it feels like you're away from it all, you are just a 10-minute walk to downtown Estes Park (the road is steep, going down will be easier than going up). The south entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is less than 3 miles. Tatanka Cabin has a gorgeous view of Longs Peak and the surrounding mountains that you will enjoy during your entire stay.

Step into the home at the lower level and you walk into a Family Room style bedroom - featuring hardwood floors and tastefully decorated with buffaloes. In this family room, you'll find a Queen sleeper sofa and a Full-size bed for sleeping or watching the large flat screen TV. A small bathroom provides a shower for guests sleeping downstairs.

Beyond the bathroom is a laundry room with a full-size washer/dryer combined with a game area. The game area has a futon, a Play Station 3 and a flat screen TV - a favorite for the kids, adult and young. Head up the stairs and you enter the open Great Room and dining area. Step into the Great Room and you'll love the million dollar mountain views, the hardwood floors, the tasteful (buffalo) decor, and the beamed cathedral ceilings. You'll want to curl up in front of the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace on the leather sofa or chair to watch the wildlife wander by or just admire the peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park.

The dining table for 8 is perfect for vacation dinners or, in the summer, you can step out on to the large deck and enjoy grilling and dining outdoors. The galley-style kitchen is extra long offering plenty of cabinet space and everything you'll need for meals. Head back to the Great Room and down the hall to the full bath on the left. This bathroom features a tub/shower combo.

Across the hall, you'll step into the spacious Master bedroom that offers a Queen bed for great sleeping. At the end of the hall, you'll find a second guest bedroom with another Queen bed and a private deck for enjoying your morning coffee or tea. This western influenced home is spacious and well-equipped for a great vacation whether it's for family or friends. It's perfect for attending special events downtown.
