If you are looking for a quaint place to relax and experience the beauty of Lake Keowee, this immaculate home will not disappoint.
The property is in an area of Lake Keowee that consists of a rocky, mountain terrain in a quiet section of the lake.
This home sits on a bluff on a peninsula with over 370' of shoreline buffer. There are 2 newly built homes (stacked) yet privately separated on the property.
Given the terrain, both homes offer panoramic views of the lake and mountains.
This listing (and associated pictures) represents the lower-level home, which accommodates 2 adults maximum.
ACCESSIBILITY: Step-free access, single-story home.
The home is luxuriously furnished with your comfort in mind. The walls of this home are 13' high and loaded with over-sized windows to capture the water and mountain views from every window.
The 2 outdoor patios are well furnished for a comfortable setting to enjoy grilling or lounging outdoors.
The upper-level home is not included in this listing and is sometimes occupied by the owner (with dog), who regards your guest privacy.
The dock (shared with owner, Easy access from lower-level home) has an expansive upper-level deck and offers a beautiful setting to relax and experience any time. There are 2 kayaks available for your use and you are welcome to bring your own boat. Your reservation MUST include your intentions to bring a boat at the time of booking.
There is a public boat launch with .5M, and there is an off-site parking available within the gated community to place your boat trailer.
Due to the elevation and rocky shore of the property, children are not permitted. No other guests, outside of those booked, (unless agreed upon at time of booking) are permitted to visit the property.
The entry door code to the BNB will be shared in the VRBO portal the morning of your check in. Please see the picture of the 2 designated parking spaces in the listing for parking in the shared driveway.
Please follow the sidewalk on the right side of (garage) of upper-level home to the entrance to your home.
Rates are subject to seasonality.
While your home provides many amenities for your stay, it does not include any meals.

Beautiful and Quiet and lots of Room

Linda was a perfect host, her home is larger than most that you will stay in, everything we needed including lots of out door seating was available. It was quiet, the lake and trees so very tranquil, long walks enjoying the sound of nature and a lake view that brings a sense of peace. We stayed for 12 days and used this as our base as we traveled around the Lake Keowee area looking at real estate, it surely fit all of our needs. Enjoy!!

Beautiful and comfortable

I stayed here for work. The stay was quiet and comfortable with a nice view from porch area. The host did a great job to ensure my stay was a peaceful one. I would definitely return for a getaway.

Beautiful home on bluff in quiet cul de sac

This delightful property sits on a high bluff overlooking Lake Keowee and the distant mountains. I was fortunate to have a quick stay at this beautifully furnished home, scoping it out for a longer visit at another time. I arrived in time to catch the sunset from the dock, which has a huge upper deck accessible from the gangway on the peak of the bluff. The sound of the water and the views were amazing. The next morning, I woke to catch the most beautiful sunrise from the kitchen area. The patios and expansive yard sit high above the water.

Perfect for the two of us!

The home is beautiful, new and located on an extremely picturesque and unique elevation overlooking the lake through beautiful trees. The neighborhood is new, peaceful, and quiet with nice homes. The decor is stylish, artsy and relaxing. The home is spotless and we had all we needed to make it feel like ours for the weekend. Lots of windows and great views from every room. Linda was a pleasure to communicate with and accommodating. We hope to return to this special place.

Surprise

If you watch the current Vrbo advertising of renting a place all to yourselves, this is not the place. You can imagine our surprise after planning an anniversary getaway to find we would be staying in this owner’s basement. Albeit furnished nicely, clean and spacious, the owner kind and gracious, renters should be aware it is more an owner occupied bed and breakfast type situation without the breakfast. It was not what we expected from the Vrbo description. Also there is no lake access…you can not even walk down to the lake.

Cynthia, as stated in the listing, and equally as stated in our communication prior to your booking, there was NO lake access from the property. This was never misrepresented, as you seem to imply. A great deal of effort was shared in responding to all your questions, of which this was one. The listing did not claim to provide breakfast. Although, the amenities are beyond most BNB standards. The listing states the Owner may be present. Given the degree of privacy from the Owner's quarters, it is not clear what your concerns were. There were no unwelcomed exchanges, as initiated by yourself. My best, Linda

Heartless owner

Booked this property for customers of mine who were displaced by Hurricane Helene. They lost their home and majority of their personal belongings. When they met with the owner to check-in, they realized this property was not going to work out for them, they let her know in the moment. Instead of her being understanding she immediately exclaimed 'THERE'S NO REFUNDS" This is literally days after our area suffered a huge catastrophe and my customers were going through one of the worst things that can happen to a family. Losing your home. It would have been so simple for this owner to do the decent and understanding thing but all she saw was dollar signs. I would NEVER recommend ANY property she has to anyone no matter how nice it may be. Character says a lot about a person especially in crisis. Totally heartless.

Heather, given the truth, which you are not representing, your clients checked in and never communicated their intentions for over a week. As you are well aware, as you booked the reservation, refunds are not permitted unless the host does not perform their obligations. This property was promptly made available in perfect and immaculate condition for their check in, at your repeated insistence. Obviously other booking requests were declined. Equally important to note, you were aware that the home was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath and you booked it for 2 adults. Apparently your clients had 7 grandchildren they wanted to bring with them! And 2 dogs! I guess you thought you could use the home however you wished, but the listing and the house rule agreement clearly state the restrictions of no children, no pets, and a maximum of 4 total guests. Your clients acknowledged they knew this in advance and had a copy of the agreement that you gave them. It’s unfortunate that you mishandled your clients needs at at stressful time in their life. Your company, State Farm should be concerned about your actions and dishonesty. Obviously, you are not welcome to ever book this home again.

My experience as a Bnb host dates back to the year of 2000 managing my own properties "Cottage Style", the concept of independent homes versus an Inn style. Having traveled extensively, I have always preferred to stay in a home when I travel. It adds so much more to the experience. Finding one that was well maintained was typically the exception, which inspires me to create a unique home setting for those who aspire to experience something memorable.

Anywhere of a view of Lake Keowee is special. To find a bluff, on a peninsula with water and mountain views is the exception.

Harbor Point on Lake Keowee offers everything that nature should be about. This lake is over 18K acres with over 300 miles of shoreline. This home is on the western, mid section of the lake which offers deeper water and access to all parts of the Lake. Lake Keowee is one of the most desired lakes, located in Western Upstate SC.Every day offers unique opportunities, whether Star gazing, Moon gazing, Sunset gazing, catching the profound Sunsets, or simply mystified by the motion of the water. Having traveled the world, it caught my attention, a hidden jewel. This is a gated community, yet very underdeveloped and rural in its locality of the lake. The entire 370'+ shoreline of this property is submerged in a natural granite rock bed. Indian arrowheads were found on the lakeshore here. No doubt, they remained on its rocky shoreline. It is unique to experience and surrounded by views of the various Mountain ranges in Western Upstate and Southern NC.
