Elegant mountain retreat with soaring ceilings and great woodland setting featuring 2 stories, massive wrap around deck. 15 miles to Pinecrest Lake, 15 minutes to Sonora. Close to wineries and Gold Country. 10 minutes to fishing at Lyons Lake. 35 minutes to Moaning Caverns. Yosemite is only an hour away. Almost all the furniture is custom made to make this a dream cabin. You walk into the beautiful high ceiling Living room surrounded by huge bay windows overlooking a beautiful valley.

The Space:
Stunning Villa in the Sierras - Get away from it all in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful mountain views. Close to Dodge Ridge Skiing, Pinecrest Lake, Hiking, Fishing, Gold Country historic towns of Sonora, Jamestown, Columbia. 4 BR/3 BA home on a Ten acre lot. Mountain Views, Pool Table, Ping-Pong table, Foosball table, Air Hockey table, and Shuffleboard table. Three Smart TV’s, High-speed WiFi. Family Friendly, Dog Friendly. My place is good for big families and furry friends (dogs).
Your unforgettable getaway starts here, at a beautiful Country Lodge with amazing mountain views, only a 2.5 hour drive from the Bay area, and 30 minutes from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Other activities to enjoy- hiking, fishing, caves, historic parks, gold country sightseeing in the Mother Lode. With four bedrooms and three full baths, this 3000 sq ft. vacation home sleeps 12 people on regular beds, including the kids room with two bunkbeds, bottom beds are queen size. After an active outdoor day, relax on the expansive deck or on the patio surrounded by the forest. Play a game of pool or ping-pong, watch a movie, play board games. It’s the perfect place for family gatherings, ski weekend with friends, anniversary, or special celebrations.

The Home: Gorgeous, impeccably maintained and professionally cleaned and sanitized non-smoking home on private 10 acres. Great room with vaulted ceilings and pool table, formal dining room, and fully equipped chef’s kitchen with all cookware, dining ware, appliances, plus oils, spices, coffee and tea.

Guests have use of the entire house, except the storage closet in the hallway and the storage room in the garage.
Other things to note
Entertainment: Samsung 50” screen with Amazon Prime account set up for movies, Alexa for music, or sign into your own Netflix or other streaming accounts. Please note there is no 'regular' TV or cable.

We spent our thanksgiving weekend at this cabin and it was the most beautiful place to be at…so relaxing and my kids had the best time in the game room, honestly we ALL did…the cabin was clean and very cozy and we can’t wait to go back late February or beginning of March for some snow fun

Great communication with host and lovely accommodations! All dressed up for the holidays! The fire pit was a lovely surprise as well as the game room. Beds were fabulous; we will be back!

The owner and manager was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He tried to get more money from us at checkout for cleaning in which we already paid for cleaning within the Vrbo total fees. There were mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets, on the cutting boards, inside the plastic containers, and on the BBQ. There was no BBQ brush. Instead of checking on the property, the owner sends cleaners to do basic light cleaning. The kitchen smelled bad from a leak under the sink. The owner did not provide toothpaste, cotton swabs, or soap bars. Shampoo and conditioner were only enough for one time use, like in a hotel. It seems the owner cares more about money and fails to maintain this property as he described. We had to spend money on supplies. It's a shame because the house is beautiful, but it is not maintained professionally. The central heater wasn’t working properly on the first day, then it was fixed. We have stayed at many places, but never had an owner try to get more money on the day of checkout. His description of the property is not 100% accurate. “The Home: Gorgeous, impeccably maintained, and professionally cleaned and sanitized.” Mice droppings are not a description of “impeccably maintained and sanitized”.

Very nice property with a great view, and amazing game room on the lower level. It needed a little more cleaning (refrigerator, dishes, kitchen items) and a few repairs (disposal) plus maintenance items (paper products ran out), but otherwise a great home for a family vacation. Very comfortable and accommodating overall.

Fourth of July getaway

It's very beautiful property. We were there for Fourth of July weekend and we didn't hear a single firework which was really nice peaceful property.. We will love to use it again.

Plush and fun

We absolutely loved this house from the big comfy chairs and couches to the endless games in the game room and the super comfortable beds. Communication was a breeze and we would definitely stay here again.

Christmas stay

We stayed here for a week over Christmas through New years with our family of 8! The house was absolutely wonderful. Ken went out of his way to decorate the place for the holidays which was greatly appreciated. It was one of the first vacation rentals we stayed at the has absolutely everything we needed. The game room was a big hit as well! 10/10

Beautiful Vacation Trip

My family and I (10 people) stayed here for 3 nights. Absolutely beautiful home, and was decorated for the holidays. The home was stocked with all basic necessities, and instructions were typed out around the home for appliances, lighting, etc. Owner was quick to communicate and respond with any questions or concerns. Well taken care of home, nice and cozy. made for a perfect and memorable family trip. We are looking forward to booking this location for future trips.

Mountain Lodge Family Retreat

Enjoyed our stay at the mountain lodge and would love to go back. It has a great game room in the basement that our family loved and plenty of room for all 10 of us. Kitchen is well stocked too. It’s in a good location close to Pinecrest, Twain Hart, and Sonora.

Wonderful family get together with out 5 adult kids.

It was so comfortable and spacious. Bed and furniture were all comfy. Lots to do. Had fun in the game room and enjoyed the big porch. We had a wonderful time. The hosts were so communicative and accommodating. The cabin is so cute. The whole family loved it.

Amazing House! Perfect Getaway!

We had an awesome stay for my birthday weekend with family. The views were amazing especially when it’s snowing! The house is on 10+ acres so it is very private and feels secluded in the forest. Very cozy cabin feel and the house was very clean. Communication with owner was quick and easy. The location is perfect since it’s close to Dodge Ridge and a casino. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets to accommodate. Plenty of space for dining. The living room was a huge space and the game room was a plus for the kids to hang out. After sharing pics with friends and family I am already getting several requests for the link to stay here!

The perfect Christmas Cabin

We had the best time during our stay and it was perfect for our family to wake up to on Christmas morning. We loved the large dinning room table that we were able to all sit around and enjoy meal times and games! The kitchen was beautiful and we even cooked a full Christmas Dinner easily in the space. The living room has large couches that everyone was able to relax, and everything was decorated so cute with Christmas Decor that made Christmas morning so special. The large game room down stairs was a huge hit between all the kids and adults! There was something for everyone, and the kids were never board. Each bedroom was large and slept our large group very comfortably. One highlight was the nice wrap around porch with an amazing view, and the large driveway that the kids could ride their scooters around on. The toilets even had heated toilet seats, which everyone enjoyed! We were very happy with our experience and would love to book again in the future!

fun family reunion

This property is just perfect for fun! Lots of sleeping space (comfy beds too!) and a fabulous game room downstairs. The kitchen is large enough for multiple cooks with a double oven and fabulous cooktop! The owners have thought of everything that guests might need - even extra snow boots in the garage, which we needed. The views are spectacular and the almost wrap around deck is perfect! Tho there was too much snow for us to enjoy but it's there! We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful family home and location

It was perfect for our three generation family weekend! Wonderful location! Plenty of room to play and sleep. Game room was great for all ages. Toys much appreciated for littles. We all fit at table and great seating in front room too for our group. Easy and quick drive to snow. We would recommend property and would love to go again in winter or try during summer. Great communication too between property manager. Thank you sharing your home with our family!!

Can’t decide what I loved most!

I absolutely loved our stay. From the living room that sat us all for family show time, to everything you need in the kitchen…to the house decor Beautiful furniture! Thank you for the Xmas decorations. Made us feel right at home. The awesome,,,awesome game room downstairs. The wrap around deck with breathtaking views. Our family uses the cabin as much as possible because we all love being up in the mountains with our grandkids. My wife and I are retired and split our time from the Bay Area to this fantastic property. We have traveled extensive around the world and have set foot on every continent the world has to offer

This property is so uniquid and so beautiful. The previous owners spared no expense in building this beautiful home and they fill the home with all customized furniture, making this home even more unique. We rented this property 3 times before buying it, on our last rental we saw the for sale sign in front. We love coming up here and just sitting on the deck and looking over the beautiful Sherwood Forest.
