Nestled along the river front sits the coziest escape! All on one level, with great views from every room. River boat landing within 5 miles to the south! Bedroom one features a queen bed, electric fireplace, & a view you can’t wait to wake up to! Bedroom two features two full beds, also perched along the river side for bright, cozy mornings. Open area features electric fireplace, large TV, WiFi, large sofa (that could sleep one), dining table, & desk area. Home includes laundry use, Full bathroom, & Full kitchen featuring: microwave, oven/range, refrigerator, withcomplimentary coffee. Please make note there is a semi busy State Hwy on west side of property. I bet you’ll forget once you settle in to the close proximity to the river on the east. Within a few miles of Cornell grocery store, Old Abe trail, Brunet Island State Park, which offers hiking, cross country skiing, plus outdoor fun! Close proximity to Lake Holcombe, Jim Falls, Chippewa Falls, & not far from snowmobile trails, & boat landing! Two kayaks on property for guest use. Base price is for two guests. Let “The River Den” be your place to get away!

Well cleaned and cozy. Beautiful views. And an easy-to-contact host! Very responsive.One caution to families with young kids: The property is very close to the highway, so use your judgment on whether that works for you. Beds could be upgraded.We would visit again!

Lovely place. The proximity to the noisy highway made it less relaxing than hoped for, but this is not the fault of the host. We were able to have some privacy due to the rooms not being super close. Wonderful kitchen with view. The kayaks would have been probably usedif the current hadnt been so fast.

This place offered the perfect getaway from the city, and I loved having the kayaks available for use! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed to cook. The outdoor area down by the river was peaceful despite the nearby highway, and when the water level is low earlier in the day you can walk the kayaks down to the water. Note that the current gets much stronger in late afternoon and water level rises, so don’t get stuck paddling home upstream. Learned that the hard way!

We had a great stay at this property. We were in the middle of a 2 week tent camping trip and stayed for 3 nights. Washer and dryer worked well and the place provided all the comforts of home. View was beautiful.

River Cottage Fishing Trip

The cottage is right on the water and very clean. Perfect size for 3 adult men to have enough room for a 3 night stay. Has all the amenities we needed including cooking utensils. The directions provided were correct and it was easy to access per the directions. Great place and great view.

The place was very clean and well stocked. For our dog, it was to close to the busy highway. Busy and traffic was very lound and fast. The main bedroom was okay, bed was not comfortable

Amazing Views

The location of this property is right off a highway along the river and can be easily missed if your are not familiar with the location. The property was gorgeous minus the road kill in the front yard. The view from the back patio area and kitchen windows was absolutely breathtaking. Overall this is a beautiful hidden gem and the property manager was very easy to get in touch with.

ON the River!

The cottage was absolutely adorable, and perfect for an impromptu weekend getaway. I could have spent the entire weekend standing in the kitchen watching the water pass us by. The location was great. Plenty of places to end up within 20 minutes of the place. The only thing that would have made it better would have been staying in the summer to see it without those couple feet of pesky snow :)

Cute place!

I booked this property for a weekend with my family. We had a wedding in Chippewa Falls and it was only a short, beautiful drive to the cabin. The view of the river is breath taking. The only negative we had about this place is the road noise, but we all were so tired it didn’t matter. If you are a light sleeper, it might be too much. The coffee pot takes pods and there is a hair dryer! We forgot both but thankfully there was left over coffee pods so it worked out. Another positive was that there were so many lap blankets! Perfect for staying cozy in the cabin. I would stay here again just to sit and drink my coffee by the river in the mornings. We loved it.

Cozy stay with a great view!

We had a short over night stay as we were visiting for a wedding. The house was clean and cozy, very cute decor! Even though the property is located on a busy road, a little traffic noise was worth the beautiful river view. The hostess was great to communicate with from initial booking to checking out. Would definitely recommend, I will stay again if ever in the area,
