We had a group of 5 people in the house and it was very comfortable. You can tell that they try to have you prepared for most things you may want to do while there. They have most anything you could want for cooking meals. Also, the house was very clean and had helpful tags to tell you what was in certain cabinets/doors. Obviously the northwoods backdrop is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay!

We love this house and the obviously chef-equipped kitchen. The location is wonderful, that is if you enjoy seeing numerous deer, wild turkeys, and the large bunny who lives in the back yard. We highly recommend the property and the owners!

The host was very welcoming, directions to property spot on.House was warm and welcoming with plenty of room to move around, great for games and conversation.We didn't get outside much due to weather, but the back patio and yard looked amazing and begging for activity.

Laura and Paul were so welcoming via messaging ahead of and during our stay. We appreciated all the amenities available and the small touches that made our stay feel like we were staying with friends and not just at a rental. The space had seasonal decore, paper and hygiene products, starter amounts of coffee, tea, and a couple snacks. We also appreciated the small touches that welcomed our dog who was traveling with us.

Excellent in every way.

The house was beautiful and clean. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We loved the woods, rural setting, lakes, hiking, state parks, etc. We will definitely stay there again when near that area.

Peaceful and Beautiful

We were so amazed at how wonderfully decorated this home was for Christmas! Perfect place for a family gathering and to sit back and relax! Having everything we needed to enjoy our stay was a relief!

This absolutely amazing gem of a property located in the Holcombe Wi area is a MUST. The owners were awesome to deal with and the property seems to have anything and everything you need to enjoy your stay amd make memories. Looking forward to getting back soon.

Lovely Place

We and our guests absolutely loved every thing about our stay. It was very convenient to the church event that we came for and had every possible convenience that one could ask for. If you're considering a stay in Holcombe, Bruce, Cornell, Ladysmith we highly recommend this location. Very private with all the amenities one could ask for. Excellent, virtually perfect!

beautiful home in the country

The property impressed all of us. The house is very clean, has a well-stocked kitchen and is very organized. My dad loved the fireplace. The area is pretty (even in the winter). I loved the rustic roads. We would stay here again.

Water access was not what we expected. We knew it wasn’t near the property, but to get there, you have to walk over a swampy area on the river and cross a wobbly dock. It didn’t feel safe enough to get into kayaks from there. The home was clean but we ran out of things because they provide a starter package with dishwasher soap for example. They said we could buy more and they’d reimburse but getting anywhere that might sell things like that was quite a jaunt because the home is on a gravel road in a very rural area. The owners are wonderful and overall the stay was pretty good. We had a really hard time finding the house because the name of road it was listed to be on was incorrect. We actually had to guess based on the general area where it might be. The road name was posted at the end of the driveway by the owners but the county doesn’t have it named by that name. We wondered if the owners named their driveway. It was confusing. If you stay here, ask for the county road names to avoid having trouble finding the home.

The home is not located directly on the water, and river levels can vary throughout the season, which is unfortunately outside of our control. That said, we’re reviewing the area to ensure signage is clear and the dock remains secure for guests who choose to use it. Regarding the road, this is a newly developed area and our home is the first property on it, which is why it may appear like a driveway. We’ll be updating the directions in our listing to make sure guests have both the county road names and the most accurate route to the house. We also appreciate your note about the starter supplies. We do provide a starter pack as listed, but we’ll make sure this information is even clearer so guests know what to expect before arrival. We’re glad to hear you found the home clean and enjoyed your stay overall. Thank you again for your thoughtful review — it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests. Wonderful and Beautiful

Are stay here was great! It had all the amenities we needed, very spacious and a nice and quiet area. We were in the area for OneFest in Coddot about 30min drive south of this home, it was a nice and relaxing home away from home. Praise God and Thank you Laura & Paul!

If you are looking for a clean, quiet, modern home with a lot of privacy, this is the place for you. After a day of fishing or golfing, it was nice to get back and hop in the hot tub and relax. If you enjoy wildlife, you will see plenty of deer and turkeys. Hosts were awesome to deal with, great communication. The next time we plan to stay in the area, we will definitely stay again.

We’re the Haug's, the Adank's and the Donnelly's. This is truly a family run business and we’re thrilled to have you stay with us. We are from Eau Claire, Wisconsin and also have our family land in Holcombe Wisconsin. When we’re not busy working, we love exploring all that Wisconsin has to offer and the beautiful Lake Holcombe Area, Pau has been a chef for over 32 years and likes to try out new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with our three kids, 1 granddaughter and our 2 dogs Reagan and Molly.

Hosting is a true passion for us. We have over 30 years of service industry experience and we take great pride in making our guests feel at home and strive to provide a warm, inviting space where you can relax and make wonderful memories. We enjoy sharing our local knowledge, so feel free to ask us for recommendations on the best hiking trails, hidden gem restaurants, or fun activities in the area.
