Fabulous Stay - Fabulous Condo

My stay at Amapola was exceptional. The condo was impeccable and had all the conveniences of home. The view from our balcony was fabulous, every morning and all day. A short walk to the beach found us enjoying sunrise walks, leisurely days swimming in clear ocean waters and often late night walk. The proximity to town was perfect with souvenir shopping an great restaurants. I used the go kart on a daily basis enjoying the sites and sounds of Samara. It also was spotless and GREATLY added to the joy and comfort of our stay in Samara. The pool at Alta Vista was used daily and was a joy. I cannot think of anything to improve on the experience and joy of Alta Vista, and the Amapola condo. I highly recommend it. I plan to return, at least yearly.

A Relaxing Retreat with Exceptional Hosts

Patrick and Hilda were wonderful hosts—friendly, responsive, and always happy to help. Our family had an amazing stay at the condo. The views were stunning, and the location offered easy access to everything we needed. The home was fully equipped with everything to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. We especially appreciated that it was set away from town—it made for a peaceful, quiet retreat.One of the highlights was hearing the howler monkeys nearby, which was such a unique and special experience. We also loved having access to the pool—it was the perfect way to cool off and unwind. The view from the rooftop Congo Lounge allowed for even more incredible ocean and jungle scenery—an ideal spot to relax, take in the sunset, and truly appreciate the beauty of the area. This was one of the few places with a true ocean view!

Love it ! Have stayed here multiple times over the past decade and now Patrick who built and owns Alta Vista lives next door ! You will not find any rental more secure, better views or maintained in Samara.

Turtles!

The four of us- 2 adults and 2 kids- had a wonderful time! The condo was clean, cool and had a great kitchen. It was a short walk to the beach. We rented beech chairs, surf and boogie boards and a bike. The kids had a great time in the water. The turtle tour was amazing. We would definitely stay here again!

Alta Vista

We had a great stay at Alta Vista. Patrick and Hilda were amazing owners. Tonya and Miguel were great as well. We went turtle watching ( laying eggs on beach and heading back to Ocean), dolphin and whale watching, Sámara trail hiking. We also watched the monkeys in the trees at Alta Vista. The beach and town were walkable distances. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful property and location

We had a good time and would recommend to others. Easy walk to beach and quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was in good shape and had adequate dishes, cutlery and pots and pans. Grill was a nice plus. Samara is a quaint little town with lots of activity. Very tourist oriented. We were able to schedule activities easily. Only negative was lack of washer and dryer (other than laundry services offered for a fee) and television service which required us to bring our own DVD (I missed in welcome letter sent by owner before trip).

Beautiful Stay

We ended our trip for 3 nights at this property. The location was perfect, the condo was immaculate, and Hilda (who checked us in and out) was quick to respond and extremly helpful. We will be returning, but next time for a longer stay.

Short stay

We had booked five nights but only stayed two but not due to problem with the property had an emergency at home and had to leave. The property was great and had everything we needed. It was so hot when we got there and was nice to have AC. If I could make recommendation it would be more pillows and had trouble with AC working in bedroom. We loved rooftop deck and location. Would stay again.

Wonderful place

Beautiful views of the beach and a real Guanacaste ranch across the street (we enjoyed watching a vaquero wrangle a horse one morning!). Very comfortable - great a/c and bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen. 3 minute easy walk to the beach. We liked that it was quiet - apart from "downtown" Samara but a 10 minute walk there. Thoughtful owner and great staff. Easy check-in, very secure. Loved Soda La Perla around the corner too.

This was our second year at Alta Vista Condominiums. What a great experience again . Samara is such a safe unique town Patrick , Hilda and their team were great hosts . We can't say enough great things . We have already booked for next year

Perfect condo

We absolutely loved everything about this condo: its location, its comfort, its amenities, the friendliness of the owners Patrick and Hilda and the staff who do an incredible job. It's clean! It's beautiful! The landscape is superb and there are even monkeys as neighbors. We walked around with no problem. We are already dreaming of going back. This is the place to rent in Samara!

Look no further....

We had such a marvelous stay in Samara, and that was due in large part to Alta Vista Condominiums. Our condo was clean, and Patrick, Hilda, and Xena were fantastic! We had plenty of room to spread out, and we felt comfortable instantly. The pool is amazing, and we swam every day we were in Samara. We even saw a family of howler monkeys in the tree above the condo! The rooftop deck/lounge is super-relaxing. I could have spent a whole day in those hammocks... All of that said, what really sets this place apart is its location. It's an easy 5-minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in my life. It's close enough to town to get there in a few minutes, but far enough away to feel quiet, peaceful and secluded. Thank you, Patrick--your place is lovely and the hard work that you and your team do to keep it in great shape really shows!

Wonderful stay in perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay at Alta Vista Condominiums. The property manager, Hilda, was fabulous——very responsive, kind and helpful. Check in was easy and we were impressed by the thorough yet efficient orientation to the property. The location is perfection: a three minute walk to the beach and about ten minutes to the downtown, and it was nice & quiet. It was also very secure/gated. We were thrilled to see some adorable howler monkeys in the trees next to the building one morning. Lastly, the view is perfection—-looking out at horses grazing in the pasture directly across from the property while enjoying the ocean view just beyond. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to have some light blankets for added comfort.

Wonderful family trip to Samara

We had such a great time at Alta Vista Condo and Samara. Patrick's place is wonderful: comfortable, clean, well stocked, spacious and perfect location. We loved the afternoon shade at the pool aftet returning from the beach. Easy walk to the beach and town. Samara is such a great town with an authentic feel with lots of great restaurants. Also, Patos surf school is a great choice. Overall perfect!

Highly Recommend!

We loved AltaVista! It is large, clean and bright and has everything you need. The location is perfect, just a quick drive to all the shops and restaurants in Samara but away from the crowds. There are a couple of restaurants (sodas) within walking distance. The beach is huge and beautiful, only about a 5 minute walk down the road. Everything you need for the beach is supplied in the condo. Hilda, the administrator, is wonderful and very responsive. The security at the condominium is excellent, especially the covered parking garage. The rooftop common lounge area is an added bonus, as is the small pool in the front. The front of the building gets intense direct sun first thing in the morning. There are blackout shades for the front rooms but they do have spaces where the sun comes through, so bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep late. Wasn’t a problem for us as we used the back bedroom and there were only the 2 of us, plus we are early risers. We wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely return to stay here again!

Such a cute place close to many beautiful beaches! We loved the short walk to the beach, the view from the open top porch, the friendly and helpful staff on the property. We enjoyed the vibe of this cute beach town! It was nice to have beach chairs provided too!!

Great spot

Location is unreal. Place is way above costa rican standards. Can even flush the toilet paper!! Very nice spot.

Great, safe place, steps from the beach!

My family of four, including 2 boys ages 12 and 10, stayed here more than a month and really enjoyed it. The condo was plenty spacious and comfortable for us. The beach is just a 1-2 minute walk down the road. Plus the top floor shared lounge patio has an amazing view. Convenience stores and local 'soda' restaurants are within minutes walk too. The dipping pool on the ground floor is refreshing. The unit has ample space for our family of four - our sons shared a queen size bed. The howler monkeys in the surrounding trees are super cool. It's an enjoyable 20-minute walk along the beach into town. It feels safe, and Patrick and his team are super responsive to any questions and concerns. We’d love to stay here again and highly recommend the condo for a small family. It's far enough from town to have more peacefulness but close enough with a convenient, enjoyable walk along the beach.
