** 7-night minimum stay in July and August.** Welcome to Oakhaven Cottage!

Beautiful, large light-filled bedroom upstairs, full bathroom (shower, bathtub), refreshing outdoor hi shower. Queen sleeper in living room, well equipped kitchen. On cool evenings, enjoy sitting around the firepit with your favorite beverage. All linen and bath towels are provided, complimentary.

Less than 10 minutes from Vineyard Haven Ferry. Away from the crowds and traffic, Oakhaven Cottage is only a short drive to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown while also providing convenient access to Chilmark and Aquinnah. Less than 3 miles to Lambert’s Cove Beach, one of the most beautiful white sand beaches on the island (walk-on beach stickers are available from Parks and Recreation for a small fee); a short walk to State Forest hiking and bike trails, minutes to West Tisbury Center and Martha’s Vineyard airport.

Perfect for single travelers, a couple or small group of 4 MAX seeking a great vacation experience.

PRO TIP: Midweek stays are quieter, less crowded, and perfect for relaxing or remote work.

Amenities include free WiFi, smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker, mini-split A/C / heat pump system for heating the cooling house, outdoor shower, BBQ grill and private patio for al fresco dining, beach chairs, towels and umbrella. Bike rentals are available for delivery to the property.

Please use our energy efficient mini-split A/C / heat pump system for heating and cooling the house. Look for the WHITE SAMSUNG REMOTE CONTROL in each room to operate the units which is very user friendly. Note: the indoor fireplace is decommissioned from June - September.

Guest Access
Guests have full use of the entire guest house, its private driveway and parking area, outdoor shower, and BBQ grill. The garage, main house and outbuildings are private.

Start your island vacation listening to crashing waves and breathing fresh sea air. Drive on back roads and stop for turkeys, not traffic lights. Go back in time and walk past Captain's houses, wander through the historic Campgrounds and marvel at the colorful and charming gingerbread cottages. Visit the five light houses, the Arboretum and Lake Tashmoo. Make lasting memories taking in breathtaking sunsets. Join us in August for the Agricultural Fair and Illumination Night at the Campgrounds in Oak Bluffs! A must see while on island. Following a day at the beach (with sandy feet), sightseeing, and a lobster roll or lobster bisque from Menemsha Market, put your your feet up and relax in front of the warm fireplace. Minutes to Cronig's market and dining options. Peaceful, quiet and private. You will fall in love.

Wonderful stay

Such a cute cottage and perfect for me and my Dad. We came to MV for a family wedding and the cottage was in the perfect location - central to all of the festivities. Also a very clean stay!

Lovely cottage and location

We had a great stay at Oakhaven Cottage. It's in a beautiful wooded area near Manuel Correllus state forest, with plentiful running and biking paths just half a mile away, and wonderful solitude and quiet. An easy drive to Vineyard Haven and West Tisbury towns/shops. We loved just relaxing in the Adirondack chairs in the front yard, reading and taking in the fresh air. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom and kitchen areas. Accessible to both up island and down island. In all, we had a lovely visit and hope to come again.

Wow! What a spot! I almost don’t want to review it so i can gatekeep it!! But I can’t keep this from anyone- perfect beach house. PERFECT location for a relaxing, disconnected, beach vacation in nature. West Tisbury is so special and lamberts cove beach is an absolute dream. There are walking trails at the end of the road, grocery store and breakfast spot very close. We had the best time, and cannot wait to go back.

Cute cottage

Great cottage for a couple. Loved that it was not far from the various areas but the woods setting was wonderful. Laura is very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend!

Wonderful cabin

Wonderful cabin located both in the center of MV and in the middle of state forest. The house feels very new. We stayed with two young children (3 and 1) - maybe a bit tight for a group that size, but would be very comfortable for three folks. Would come back!

Cottage paradise

We had a fantastic visit to the vineyard and this cottage made the stay wonderful. The cottage was clean and spacious for two people. The owner’s communication was superb. We loved how central located it was to all parts of the island. We would strongly recommend. Thanks for a memorable visit.

The Cottage on Oak Lane was a superb property and host experience for both my wife and I. Everything was clean and prepared upon entry. Having (quality) towels and linens provided was a huge plus. The grill is older but works perfectly. The dirt road Oak Lane is a bit long but extremely well maintained, low travelled, and provides excellent privacy. Our communication with the host gets an A and we used the in house guide to source several excellent activities. My wife and I would rent here again and would highly recommend this property for other couples looking for a getaway on MV away from the bustle of town.

Short and Sweet

Very accommodating, lovely comfortable bed, would like to see a way to heat the bathroom - cold mornings, and perhaps another mat for the floor. I kept dragging the one that was in there everywhere I went. Kitchen, dining area, table in the breeze way with the umbrella were wonderful places to eat. We also loved the bike and walking paths nearby as well as the easy access to Vineyard Haven. Thank you for all of your efforts. Best, Bill and Sue

Quaint Cute Cottage

Loved, loved, loved this cottage pictures are totally accurate. Off the beaten path, super quiet, super clean, you can eat off the floors! Looks like it is newly built. Feels like you are totally secluded; had a family of deer visit every morning and at dusk. Very roomy for 3 people. I love cooking and there were plenty of kitchen utensils including pots and pans of all sizes. We would definitely book again!!! The Stop’nShop in Vineyard Haven has some of the best prices, beats my supermarket prices back home! The only downside or must is that one needs a car or some type of transportation because the cottage is 1 mile from the main road that has bus transportation (that will take you around the island) and that 1 mile road is unfortunately quite dusty. But again will book in a heartbeat!

A stay off the beaten path

We had a nice stay at the cottage. The cottage itself was a little bit more rustic than we had anticipated based on photos and description, but worked for us. It’s in a nice setting in the woods that offers a decent amount of privacy, the trade off being it’s at least a 15 min drive to most places of interest. The lofted bedroom area was nice but may be difficult for those with little ones as the sound carries from the downstairs and there is no door to close. There was also no curtain on the front door which you need to walk by the access the only bathroom. Additionally there was no fan in the bathroom which made getting multiple people ready a challenge. Overall a nice stay that would be perfect with a few updates.

Perfectly peaceful

We'd been to Martha's Vineyard before and stayed in Edgartown, which was wonderful, but wanted a different experience this time. This cottage in the woods off of a dirt road was perfect. It had everything we needed to make it our home for a few days. You'll want a car if you stay here so you'll be able to wander around the island. We did an up-island driving tour one day, hiked through beautiful forests, and saw stunning vistas at Menemsha Hills and Aquinnah. We also rented bikes and really enjoyed the nearby bike trails and a beautiful arboretum. Coming "home" to the cottage each day was such a treat. We loved sitting by the firepit one night. We even got brave enough to buy lobsters and steam them ourselves, and enjoyed them at the picnic table in the yard. The outdoor shower was an invigorating treat after an early morning bike trip. Laura provided lots of helpful information and we had a great chat with Kevin the handyman when he stopped by. My only complaint is that our three-night stay was too short!

Great cottage

Our stay cottage in the cottage was perfect. We had great communication with Laura throughout our stay and the place has great amenities like A/C, heat, laundry and a fireplace. I would love to stay here again.

Great Private Hideaway Close to Town

This is a peaceful, quiet retreat in a woodland setting, but is only a few miles from dining, shopping, and entertainment in Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Best of both worlds! Plenty of room for 2-4 guests.

over all good and plaisant

The cottage is very confortable. We loved it. The pictures let us Believe That the Beach is much closer. It is complicated to get a pass to the near beaches. We fond south beach that was lovely. Towels were a little shot. Kevin was very friendly and helpful with informations to get around. We loved Martha's Vineyard. We will be back.

Relaxing stay in MV

Beautiful cottage in the woods of West Tisbury MV. Great location to see all of MV. Laura was quick to respond to all of my questions (first time visitor to the Vineyard). We will return!

Superb Stay

Laura's place was perfect for our Group of 4 adults. Clean, quaint and comfy. Upstairs bed was comfy and as well as the pull out couch bed. Perfect location tucked away about a mile back off of a main road and about 10 min from the airport. Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown all within a 20 min drive. Communication with Laura was great from the start. Whenever I return to the Vineyard, this will be my spot of choice!

Great spot centrally located in a quiet area. Used cycle paths from cottage and buses sometimes. Note buses can carry 3 bikes max. Cottage fantastic for a couple.
