5 bedrooms Elevator to all 3 floors handicap accessible shower main floor master suite separate bath with tub/shower combo free W-Fi wood burning fireplace Hot Tub Pool Table /Ping Pong whole house generator comes on automatically when power fails n nA Generac whole-house generator keeps the cabin running when the local power is out. It is all automatic so no need to do anything. Highland Koselig Lodge is on top of a Smoky Mountain ridge with an amazing view! Elevator to all 3 floor 3 enclosed king bedrooms 1 bunk room with a curtain 1 double bed in a nook with curtain 2 futons in the loft with linens in the closet a queen sleeper sofa (linens close) in the lower-level game room with Pool Table/Ping Pong HOT TUB corn hole and Foosball at this level. In the gated community of Shagbark off Wears Valley Road. Four bathrooms 3 with walk-in showers main floor master bath handicap assessable. nThere is a well-equipped kitchen. You will find both Keurig and Mr. Coffee style coffee pots some k-cup pods in different flavors creamer pods sugar and sweetener packets also some snacks to start your stay. There is a basket of beach towels for the hot tub hand pump soap at each sink small soap packages paper towels. 2 new toilet paper in each bathroom dish soap and dishwasher pods. nShagbark is a 1300 acre animal sanctuary resort with forests creeks and mountain views in the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy the Community swimming pool Memorial Day to Labor Day tennis court Basketball goal Pickel Ball by the pool and frisbee golf cornhole game playground and creek with minnows and crayfish in a meadow area between the Security gate and Community Center. Shagbark is an animal sanctuary where you might see bears wild turkey possums and racoons only minutes from Gatlinburg the Smoky Mountain National Park or Pigeon Forge. This cabin is in a very private setting - a Smoky Mountain High.

Such a beautiful cabin located high with a beautiful scenic view. The layout of this home is fun and convenient; I’d say it works better for only the immediate family, but there is plenty of beds and space for other invitees.The second floor has a nice equipped kitchen with sliding doors in living room that takes you to the big deck where we sat down, relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful view plenty of times.There’s also a game room on the first floor that we enjoyed. The road up to the cabin is the most fun. It could be nerving for some because it is very moderate, but if you like a little adrenaline, it’s perfect. A little treat on the way up was the spotting of a momma bear and some cubs. Overall, it was a wonderful cabin, we absolutely enjoyed our stay, and had a great helpful host. Absolutely recommend this experience.

This lodge is absolutely stunning, everything you dream of when traveling to the Smokey Mountains. My oldest child is special needs and this lodge had all the commodities to support her. relaxing and fun vacation

The cabin was beautiful. Pleanty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The elevator was great for taking luggage to the 3rd floor. The kitchen, living room and dining room were huge and provided lots of items to make it feel like home. We did not see any bears but were blessed with a glimps of a large cat on the road below. I would like to note that even though we did finally master getting in an out of the drive way by day 3, if your vehicle is not in good shape, or extremely large this may be a difficult climb and decent. I was able to leave my car in the guest parking at the bottom. The veiw is definitely worth the drive and the host provided driving instructions that were easy to follow.

This is a beautiful property with fantastic views. It was a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. The rooms were spacious. The game room was a big hit with the grandchildren. The bedrooms accommodated our family of nine. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was another big hit We enjoyed the fireplace on the cooler days. The location was convenient to hiking at the GSMNP and the outlet mall. The elevator was perfect for accessibility. The drive up to the cabin was a bit scary the first time we drove it. You just need to go slow and pay attention. The television was a Roku television which we were not familiar with. It would have been nice to have known this ahead of time and be given written instructions on using it. The accessible bathroom on the main level does have a shower but it is not a roll in shower. We did have the power go out for a couple hours one evening and were very pleased that there was a generator that kicked on immediately. We would recommend this property for anyone wanting a beautiful cabin for a family vacation.

Wonderful property

The property is as described. The lodge was clean and spacious. The view is beautiful. The elevator was a bonus especially when bringing in luggage and groceries. I stayed with my husband and 2 teens (19 & 17). They all enjoyed the property. The kids enjoyed having their own rooms and bathrooms.

Family Mountain Getaway

Our family group of 12 (grandparents to age 2) was comfortably accommodated in this beautiful, spacious cabin. The only downside is an initially very intimidating drive to access the property but we made the adjustment! We would definitely stay here again.

Lots of room and spectacular views.

Great cabin for a large family or multiple couples. Plenty of sleeping spots and bathrooms which was great. Love the cabin/ lodge feel inside and the huge fireplace. Kids loved all the games and old vhs movies that were there.

Very secluded

Although the drive up to the property was a bit nerve-wracking, the quietness and views were amazing. The price and amenities were well worth it. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Great views

The house was very nice and clean. Plenty of room for all of us. Great weather while we were there. Easy to go to nearby towns for activities. Kids disappointed we didn’t see a bear but saw other animals. The drive up mountain was harrowing the first time. Just needed to go slow and a front seat person to navigate was great. And some of the best times were using the resort tennis court. Definitely worth going back.

Fantastic View on top of the Mountain

We enjoyed our stay and the view from the top of the smokies was beautiful. We were a group of 10 and had more than enough room for everyone to have privacy. The elevator was a very welcome extra as we had elderly family that was not hindered by any stairs. We would highly recommend this property for a large family group.
