Beautiful Waterfront Vacation Rental on the Currituck Sound

Relax and enjoy a retreat, romantic getaway, or family vacation at this beautiful waterfront cottage. This fully remodeled cottage has 3 bedrooms (two masters, a kids room that sleeps three, plus sleeper sofas in the loft and game room), 3 baths (including one with jetted tub), a fully furnished kitchen, and game/play room. In addition, the cottage offers places to gather, cook, and eat both inside and outside.

Located less than 40 miles from Chesapeake VA and from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Currituck Cottage offers panoramic views of Currituck Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Enjoy views of the beautiful boats going by, or birds native to the area (including Bald Eagles). From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, play with the paddle boat, and kayaks (4). Fish or crab from the 2 docks and piers (crab pot provided). Four golf courses are less than 30 minutes away, and duck hunting is available nearby. You can also use a nearby boat launch to enjoy your own boat or jet ski.

The Currituck Cottage is a NO Smoking/Smoke Free cottage. Smoking is not allowed.

Communication from hosts was great and they have a beautiful property! The waterfront view is breathtaking and we hope to be back when it’s a little warmer to take advantage of the water more. The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of 6.

The home is in a quiet neighborhood and is comfortable. If you have kids, there is a kids room with all sorts of games and tv and gaming system, foosball and air hocky. The kitchen looks fully stocked with utensils and pots and pans. We ate out each meal so did not use the kitchen other than the Keurig. The view is absolutely beautiful!!! This is my second stay and will definitely be going back. Love this home!!!!

Sun and fun!!

Ive stayed at this property 4 times I believe since 2017 it hasn't changed a bit. And thats why we love this place. Its so quiet and peaceful there. Brought my kids this time and it was a hit. We fished, kayaked, swam and just soaked up the sun. Its close enough you can hit the Outer Banks or go in to Virginia Beach. I wont even consider another place to stay when I come out. I recommend going to Coinjock Marina for dinner or lunch we do that alot. The swing next to water was a great added bonus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was the perfect getaway to unwind from the busyness of everyday life. It was so peaceful to sit outside and enjoy the water views. My teens loved catching blue crabs in the traps and we were able to enjoy a nice meal with the fresh crabs we caught. Check in and out was easy. The hosts were great and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy their property. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Property! We had a great time staying on the Currituck Sound. The property was nicely furnished with enough cookware and dishes to prepare a meal. There was also basic spices, etc. which was a definite plus. My boys loved using the kayaks and fishing in the sound. Steffen was very responsive and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing

The house is in a very quiet neighborhood where everyine was friendly. The proprty itself had a few steps up to the main door. The kitchen, family space, kids bedroom, bathroom not attached to a bedtoom, and a master bed/bath were on the first floor. There is another master bed/bad upstairs. The game room is a few steps down from the kitchen. During our stay the host reached out asking if we had any questions and wished us well. I did ask a question and the host was quick to respond. While we stayed we enjoyed the use of the outdoor space including the grill, outdoor furniture, assortment of life jackets, kayak, paddle board, and peddle boat.

Peace and quiet!!

Nice property in a nice neighborhood. It was peaceful and quiet - just what we needed. A short drive to get to the restaurants, shopping and sight seeing. The house was clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. The hosts were very helpful giving me info on where to eat and shop. A very nice vacation!

Currituck peace and quiet

The family loved the view of the sound from all the great windows! We were close to many short trip attractions including Dismal Swamp State park, Corolla and the wild horses, Duck, and Manteo! We have never been to this part of the state..will be back!

Duck Hunting Trip.

We recently stayed at this property January 2 -5 2025. We were a group of two couples in the area for the guys to go on a hunting trip at Stewart’s hunting Lodge. The location is perfect if you were booking with Stewart’s lodge, just down the road so perfect for the early morning departures. The girls hung around the house, which had amenities and wonderful views to sit and relax. VRBO did not send the check in information, but the host was very quick to respond and provide information for an easy check in. For a low-key clean, safe place there is nothing better. We would highly recommend this listing from East Tennessee Group.

Processing the Sound

This property was just what we needed as we gathered to say goodbye to a great man. All of us at some point spent time on the swing either by ourselves or with another. It was the perfect spot to reflect on the life that we spent time with, the memories we made and the stories that came out of those moments.
