Not sure which mattress this guest is referring to. There s a king in the master bedroom. It s memory foam. The second one is a fold out couch. We offer soft, medium and firm to our guests. Happy that overall they enjoyed their stay. Thanks so much. Glenda

I was hoping these nice elderly folks wouldn't t force a " review response" from me. Here goes. They claim on the first night they tried to reach me sometime after 9 or 930 pm. I had gone to bed around 9. I work to care for our guests about a 12 to 14 hour day. I ve always said that if its a clear EMERGENCY please dial 911. Other then when I m sleeping, I m available for our guests . By morning this elderly couple wanted to see me asap. I went straight there. 1. She was upset because " THERE WAS NO VOLUME ON THE TV REMOTE". I showed them and they said"oh" and looked at each other. Then she took me to the bathroom VERY upset and said " I TOOK A COLD SHOWER". Went to the kitchen and there was hot water in the sink and the bathroom lavatory. Then I KNEW. I turned the water on in the shower and showed her that the lever moved back and forth depending on how much hot water one wanted. It was steamng hot. Then he took me back to the kitchen and was so frustrated because he d brought a special coffee pot with him and there was no power. The GFI breaker had tripped. I pushed the button and everything was fine. He commented that he was aware of GFI breakers but hadn't t thought of it. THEN, the guest prior to these folks, a boy about 10 years old, had found a stray kitten and it appeared he d been feeding it. I saw a bowl of milk while housekeeping was cleaning. I really thought nothing of it but as it turned out the kitten hid inside the foldout couch. We had quite a time catching this little guy and even the husband guest helped to chase him . By this time the lady is saying that she's 75 years old and hadn t slept well and they were leaving. I said that I was 68 and a bit old to be lifting couches and running around. Maintenance guys came and we had to take the couch outside for about 10 minutes and sure enough this kitten ran off. If it hadn t been so serious it was quite comical. The only REAL complaint these guests had was the annoying kitten. The other complaints were just not my fault in the least. Everything functioned but they seemed unable to understand that. I need to sleep sometime as well. So, they packed and left . In my view, and not to be mean spirited, but to protect my business, this couple needed an assisted living arrangement, not my vacation rental. I wish the best for them .

These people are scam artists. No such thing that they ve claimed. Guests before and after enjoyed their stay with nothing different in cleaning practices. I personally crawled around on my hands and knees with my headhousekeeper, my husband and another worker. This person is using drugs and/ or has a sinus infection distorting her ability to smell properly. We ve had a great summer at this affordable small apartment. Just when you think you ve seen it all.

This house has no fossill fuels ANYWHERE in this property. Search as I might I personally found no mice droppings. Again, how can you smell gas when there is none present. Vrbo agrees with me and considers it a scam bc these guests simply wanted to go elsewhere and needed to come up with a safety excuse. Our society is leaning more and more in this direction unfortunately. Its an adorable apartment and many happy guests have stayed there.
