Beautiful very private camp, 30 feet from the lake! Water Trampoline will be replaced by a float this year due to insurance sorry for the inconvenience. Heart Pond Best swimming around warm water. Large living room and dining room with water view. Watch the kids swim, or kayak. 3 bedrooms with water view and air conditioning. 1 bonus room with a queen bed.1 Kids area with bunkbed for 3 and A/C. All rooms animal themed for that down east Maine outdoor feel. Ice fishing or ice skating in the Winter. 4 kayaks with paddles and life jackets for your use. Great Lake front getaway. 4 man spa on back deck. Last year swimming till middle of Oct. Southern view. High speed internet and Direct tv. Wildlife all around you. Heart lodge lakefront

This was a beautiful place to stay whether it's two people or 10 people. There was plenty of space for everybody, we enjoyed the swimming and the Crystal clear lake, we enjoyed our morning coffee on the decks, and we enjoyed the large dining table which allowed every one of us to sit with room to grow. We use the hot tub several times, the guys got to fish a little, and we played cards a lot. A perfect getaway to just enjoy the company and relax. The kitchen had just about every need met whether you we were baking or cooking a meal. It was just a wonderful stay. I hope that we get back somedaywere baking something or cooking a meal.

Maine Trip

This was awesome! The house was better than pictures. Loved the view. It was peaceful. Had a great time with the kayaks, three first timers. The pedal boards were interesting to say the least. Would recommend to everyone and if we ever get back this way, would return!

Five Stars Again!!!

This was our second time staying at Hearts Lodge and it topped our last stay two years ago which was great! The owners truly care and it shows on how well the home is equipped, maintained along with all the amenities that the owners provide. Hearts Pond has the best swimming and clean clear pond you can find! Whether you choose to relax at the pond as we did or venture to the surrounding area including Bucksport or Arcadia we highly recommend Hearts Lodge!!!

Beautiful Place

Property was clean, plenty of space and was better then expected. Heart pond is a perfect accent to this property. The house includes many items to the pond. Would definitely recommend this property, we traveled with 2 adults and 7 kids from age 10 to 20 and we enjoyed ourselves. Owner communicated very well.

Relaxing and fun stay for a multigenerational family vacation

<15 min drive to Bucksport for groceries and lobster shacks and fresh lobsters to do a lobster bake at the house. Nearby Big Chicken Barn antiques and books (<5 min north) was a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Wonderful location and so many activities/amenities

Absolutely loved our stay. We had multiple generations (great grandma down to a one-year-old) and everyone loved this beautiful lake house. The kayaks, paddleboards, trampoline/slide, and fishing poles were just the start. The kitchen was well-equipped, games and puzzles were handy for a rainy day, and the location is very convenient to all the places we wanted to visit. Very much recommend!

Wonderful home and location

My family had a great time at Heart Lodge. The kids loved the trampoline, kayaks, and paddleboards. The house was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The location was also great - close to a grocery store and some restaurants, and not too far from Bar Harbor & Acadia (~45 minute drive).

Beautiful Spacious Lakefront Home

This is a Great Place . If it hadn't rained all week it would've been a BLAST, but we still had a good time. A beautiful setting and home with all the water toys and amenities. Primary bedroom has a balcony overlooking the lake and lower decks. Fun and romantic both. I definitely recomend this lovely VRBO.

Simply Amazing

Our family had a hunt planned for the guys. The girls would be staying and relaxing at the house for the week. I searched for so long to find the right place for our family of 5- the Heart Lodge was absolutely the most perfect location! I can’t rate it enough stars, Stanley the owner was wonderful. He called to check to see if we needed anything at all and answered all of my questions very quickly with great recommendations:) We we’re here Thanksgiving week. The weather was great, cold but some days warm enough to enjoy kayaking and fishing from the dock. We loved the hot tub and was able to enjoy it before it was closed for the season! There is everything you could ever need here. The kitchen is stocked perfectly, plenty of towels, sheets and beach towels! We loved that everyone had there own room and our teenage boys each had a king size bed! The 2 sets of washer and dryers were so useful and made it easy for upstairs and downstairs laundry! The beds were the most comfortable we have ever had in any rental - adjustable mattresses to fit your comfort level! The tv worked great as well as the WiFi! We had a minivan and had no problems getting to and from the lodge! There was tons of closet space and each bedroom was huge! The views overlooking the pond (or lake as we called it) were breathtaking. 15-30 minute drive into Ellsworth, Bar Harbor and a few other sweet towns! The towns were so quaint and warm feeling! We loved some of the shopping in the area as well as the dining at the local restaurants! We also felt very safe here! We absolutely loved Maine, the simple life that is here and the Heart Lodge was such a warm and cozy location for our family to enjoy! Traveling from North Carolina, this place made it really hard to leave! We wished we had more time! Thank you Stanley for sharing your wonderful lodge by the water with our family!

Perfect location - wonderful property

Any negative comments about the state of the property must have been from before the renovation -- Every room in the house feels brand new. The view from the deck and the porch (and the hot tub) across Heart Pond (especially with the mist in the morning) are inspiring. Every bedroom except for the kids bunk beds has a view of the pond, so it can be the first thing you see every morning. The owner was responsive and helpful, although we didn't need anything during the stay. Overall, just the property we were looking for, for our fall foliage tour. Oh, and if you are looking for lobster, I recommend Wood's seafood Market in Bucksport, and Young's lobster pound in Belfast. Both had great prices and a wonderful selection.

Tons of lake fun! Well-equipped, great location!

We just finished a 2-week stay at Stan's lakehouse and it was wonderful! This was our first trip to Maine (hubby, 14-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter, 81-year-old mother-in-law, and me.) I wanted a location that would be convenient for several day-trips to Acadia plus other coastal and inland areas *and* a place that would offer an abundance of activities on the days we stayed closer to "home." This house fit the bill on all counts. The kids spent multiple days playing in the lake (yes, even in September!). The floating trampoline was a big hit but the paddleboards & kayaks got lots of use too. I highly recommend an early morning kayak ride around Hart Pond. So peaceful. The hot tub was a nice bonus! The house itself was well-equipped. The kitchen had every gadget & small appliance I could think of - and then some! As a mom, I'm especially thankful for the crockpot & InstantPot. And TWO sets of washers & dryers mean I didn't have to come home to piles of laundry. Most importantly, the beds were very comfortable. We all slept well after long, active days. All of this at a very convenient location for accessing Acadia/ Bar Harbor, Castine/ Blue Hill, Camden... all less than an hour away. Boothbay Harbor approx 2 hours away. We never made it inland- but the drive to Moosehead Lake/ Greenville was mapping at 2 hours away. Stan was great at communicating and very quick to answer questions- but not intrusive. I highly recommend this home and would welcome the opportunity to stay again next time we're in Maine.

Wonderful Lakehouse

The house was newly renovated and very comfortable. The owner had a wonderful dock, kayaks, paddle boards , and a swim float. We spent as much time swimming and paddling on this crystal clear pond as we did hiking at nearby Acadia NP. This rental is a gem!

Everything we could ask for in a Maine rental house

We’ve been renting in Maine with friends for over 10 years (family of 4 and family of 5) and this rental had everything we could ask for - kayaks, paddle boards, elliptical paddle boards, fire pit, grills, hot tub, a/c in all the bedrooms, solid internet, 2 sets of washers and dryers, I could go on and on. At one point we lost power due to a downed power line nearby and Stan notified us right away. He also proactively made sure his well didn’t run out during a difficult Maine dry spell. The location was excellent and we spent time during the week in Camden, Ellsworth, Belfast, Deer Isle, Bucksport, and Orland. Finally, Heart Pond was clear and beautiful and the hike up Great Pond Mountain was well worth the views.

The property was just as advertised. A perfect place for our family vacation. The lake is amazing and the location was quiet yet situated where you can get anywhere and get anything you need. Loved our stay at Heart Lodge

Can’t wait to go back! Was perfect for our two families. You can tell the owner really cares , the house was one the best equipped we have rented! The owner added so many extras from a water trampoline, hot tub, paddleboards,kayaks and a fire pit with plenty of wood. We loved hanging on the patio and swimming in the crystal clear water and then going to the hot tub. It was great to relax on comfortable furniture and watch Stranger Things on Netflix during the evening! No need to leave the house but it was nice to have restaurants and stores nearby in Bucksport which was nice little town.

The perfect vacation rental

I highly recommend staying at this property. It was perfect for our family. We always looked forward to returning to our cabin after a tiring day hiking at Acadia. The renters thought of everything. You will not need to bring anything but your clothes and personal items. The house has everything you need. We really enjoyed all of the amenities and spent a lot of time on the pond. The water is so clear and refreshing. This place is so secluded and quiet. The owners were always quick to answer any questions we had. We wish we had more time to just spend at the rental. It was so relaxing and fun!! The kids said the rental was their favorite part of the trip!!

Stan and Theresa Wilbur have been in the rental business for over 25 years. This Lake Rental is a perfect addition to there great success. Growing up in Maine they were Highschool Sweethearts. Both have worked 3 jobs at a time most of their lives including, Commercial Diving, Masonry, Building Construction, Electronic tech, Jackson Lab Tech, Blueberry farmers, Martial Arts instructors, Wreath makers, Rentals of course. Hobe Paddle boards are rare to find and lots of fun more stable than others. Reg paddlebds and 4 Kayaks with paddles and life jackets. In Maine woods on one side Lake on the other, Large splake, and other fish in Lake, spring fed great swimming, Lots of wildlife around Eagles live on the lake. Water so pure some camps on the lake even drink the water right out of the Lake.
