The condo was perfect for our family stay. It’s location was great - near our daughters place and convenient to shopping, restaurants on the Rosslyn metro. Also an easy walk across the bridge to Georgetown. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the appliances worked. Our bed was comfortable. The 3rd bdrm is only accessible though the 2nd bdrm. This was fine for us as our adult daughters like sharing spaces. Overall pleased with the apartment and would stay here again.

Great location

This Rosslyn property was in an excellent location. It was in good condition and had parking available. We did have some air conditioning issues in the upstairs bedrooms, but the owner responded quickly. It just never quite got comfortable upstairs.Overall we enjoyed our visit and the location was very convenient.

Location of property was amazing! Central location to everything and easy access to the Metro. Furniture has seen better days but everything was clean. Plenty of blankets for each bed too!

Perfect location to explore DC

Great property. Very well equipped. Appreciated the coffee. Adjoining rooms separated by sliding barn door. Worked great for teenage siblings. Easy walk to metro to explore DC. Yummy Rosslyn restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend.

Family Sightseeing

The property checked all the boxes. We were there as a family during spring break to explore everything in and around the National Mall in Washington, DC. The property was a perfect home base near to the metro station for a quick ride to all of the museums and monuments. It also created a great atmosphere to come back to after a day full of walking and exploring. The fact that there is off street parking included is just the cherry on top.

Convenient Location

This spot was within walking distance to a number of restaurants and a market. Only about a ten minute walk to the Metro. The house was clean and had what you would need.

Convenient to DC

This was a comfortable place to stay to travel to DC for work. The metro is walking distance (though uphill on the way back), and the space works well for 2. We had 3, which worked but is not ideal as one person has to walk through another person’s bedroom to get to theirs. Would work great for a family.

Fantastic location, house had everything we needed

Stayed with my family for a quick sightseeing trip in the DC area. House had everything we needed. Walking distance to many restos and shopping (grocery store, Target). We drove to DC because it was cold when we were there but walking is possible and there was even a nice map for the walk provided in the home. On site parking right outside front door in driveway was a huge plus. Host was very responsive.

Great Host, Great Location, Good Stay, but you should know

I really loved the location, loved the ease of working with the host, and the set up worked for our very small group. The 2 - issues we had were taken care of immediately. The host is on-call via phone at the drop of a hat. We came for a funeral at Arlington and it was maybe a 6 minute drive, and to have a parking space was a bonus. The upstairs layout is "odd" but workable. Please note the room with the checkered curtains would be considered the "master" bedroom. Then there is a "hallway" (that has a door) for the bunk beds & couch. And then another barn door has been installed which is nice for the back bedroom. So the back bedroom (with the sleep number bed) one has to go thru the bunk room to get to it. Which was fine for our stay. It worked well for us. But you do need to know there is NOT a comfortable place to sit in this place. Obviously there is no dining or eating table - that is clear from the photos - there are 11 (yes I counted) bar stools of varying heights to sit around the kitchen counter etc. But both down stairs couches/sofas are NOT comfortable to sit upon. The red one had a weird cover on it, and the bottom of the love seat seemed to have dropped out. The other couch by the TV was so hard, I hurt my tushie, when I first sat upon it - not prepared that is was just "wood" covered in fabric. And the host should invest in some spoons. I would stay there again, but likely bring a lawn chair with me to sit in and spoons for cereal.

Great Location

Great location and parking if you need to stay in DC. Owner communicates well as we had snow during our stay and he made sure that we had everything we needed to stay safe. We travel in a large Sprinter van and the parking was perfect for our large van. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location for visiting the Monuments and Arlington Cemetery

We recently came to lay our Mother to rest with our Dad in Arlington Cemetery. We stayed at this property mainly for it's proximity to both seeing the National Mall and attending the service at Arlington. It was excellent for both. We 3 family members were very comfortable with the open bedrooms situation. The lack of privacy for 2 of the 3 bedrooms may not work for some guests. Bedrooms are upstairs which we navigated just fine; again may be a challenge for guests unable to do stairs. The kitchen and living spaces were very comfortable and great for conversation or TV watching. We found the property clean and were grateful for parking off the street.

Good place to finish a GAP/C&O trail ride

Two friends and I ended a 1 week GAP/C&O bike trail ride at this location. Very comfortable with good washer/dryer. Short walk to food & entertainment. An available outdoor faucet would be a useful addition to hose off bikes and gear before flying out.

Nice location, issues with cleaning crew

We were in town for our son's 30th birthday. The location was great and the unit had everything we needed. We did have an issue with the cleaning crew. The host was kind enough to let us drop our bags off early and said he would let us know as soon as the cleaning was done so we could check-in. At 3:50 p.m. we got a message from David that the cleaning was completed. We arrived about 15 minutes later and nothing had been cleaned. David said the cleaning crew had only done the first floor by mistake, but there were sheets balled up on the couches, garbage was full, etc. The place looked exactly the same as when the last guest had left and we'd dropped our bags earlier in the day. The cleaning crew was called, came, and cleaned around us. Never heard back from David to make sure cleaning was all set. I hesitated to post this as I understand this could have been been a one-time issue with the cleaning crew and not David's fault. However, I looked over the old reviews and saw that someone else had this same problem last year. Hopefully David will get this issue resolved going forward. I did 4 stars on the accuracy of the listing only because I think it should be pointed out that the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms do not have a door between them. I also did 4 stars on communications as David was great to deal with before the cleaning crew issue, but then we heard nothing more and, under the circumstances, I would have expected him to reach back out and make sure things were all set.

Quiet Neighborhood

Older home very updated. Great location in Rosslyn. be aware that two bedrooms connected without doorway and one entrance to bathroom. Does not allow for privacy but third bedroom is private. One of better VRBOs I have enjoyed. Great comms with owner.

Great home base

Great home base for a DC area trip. We typically don’t have a car in DC, but needed one for this trip. Off street parking a plus. Walkable access to metro, restaurants, groceries. Even Georgetown is walkable for the adventurous. (Bonus advice: don’t drive to GT. Parking is ridiculous. Get an Uber). Pots and pans need an upgrade. Bottoms were warped, which meant that they twirled on the flat top stove. Could use more comfortable seating. But overall a great option in a great, safe neighborhood .

Funeral at Arlington

This was the perfect place to stay for any services at Arlington and sightseeing in DC. Great location, nice neighborhood and walking distance to convenient food and stores. Dog friendly area and house. The house was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Visit for ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery 8/2023

This was a lovely home, nicely appointed with all the necessities. Very comfortable with different areas for hanging out or visiting. It was within walking distance to several restaurants, and a short drive to multiple places of interest. I would definitely stay here again if we visit the area in the future. Thank you!

Comfortable house in great location

Our family of 5 stayed in David’s house for three and a half weeks and we had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for all of us, plenty of amenities including enough in the kitchen to cook some basic meals, and the location cannot be beat. Easy to walk to the metro, the grocery store, restaurants and a neighborhood playground. Georgetown is just 30 minutes away walking and we did that several times as well. Host was very responsive with any issues and made sure we had what we needed. A few things to be aware of: As other guests have mentioned, two of the bedrooms are adjoining with no door in between. It was fine for our kids but not ideal if you have people in your party who need privacy. There are no dressers in the bedrooms so you have to get creative with clothes storage. Also no dining table so you have to get creative at mealtime. We had a pretty big ant problem upstairs early in our stay but David was very responsive and spraying some bug spray seemed to take care of it. We also saw several rats outside; I think they were coming from the neighbor’s yard which is not the most well kept. We let the host know so it might not be an issue going forward. Also be aware that the basement is rented as a separate unit. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The location cannot be beat, and the house is clean and comfortable with most everything we needed!
