Honeymoon get away

This was a great honeymoon get away. The location was perfect, the condo had all the amenities we need for our 6 day stay including a washer and dryer. The view was great out the large windows facing the water, with electric shades to keep sun out during sunrise to sleep in and privacy.

Playa del Carmen vacation

The condo was as pictured inside. However, there no beach at all behind the property! The picture on line shows a beach that has since washed completely away. There is extensive shore erosion with sand bags & big boulders about 6 feet outside the back door. There is absolutely no way we could have entered the water to swim. Several fishing boats are anchored behind the building and are there daily whenever they were not out on a trip. Any time we wanted to go to the beach we had a walk of several blocks away. We bought chairs to use at the beach as renting chairs was either too expensive or not available when we arrived at there. The pool is inside the building with an opening in the roof directly above the pool. It’s like an indoor pool with a big skylight. We stayed there for 4 weeks & we never used it & no one else in the building ever used it either. So, other than no beach & no pool, the condo was as we had expected. The condo had everything we needed, we were comfortable, everything was clean, the location was close to everything and was completely walkable and safe. Playa del Carmen is quite a bit hotter & more humid than we knew, so no pool & no beach did affect our enjoyment of our vacation there.. the employees were friendly and helpful, that part was perfect.

Relax vacation

We wanted to be somewhere near the beach and walking distance to all amenities. We opted to walk away from the main drag to find more authentic places to eat. The clubs were far enough away that we could hear but they weren’t disruptive. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. We had a great time!!!

Great place will book again

Highly recommend this place walking distance to markets, beaches, all booking tours, restaurants and at night really close to the bars. Stayed here 6 nights and didn’t have the need to rent a car everything I needed was near….the place is great really cozy and has everything you need to feel at home. Tv, netflix, stove, washer and dryer and the view to the ocean is amazing.

Es un lugar muy limpio, tranquilo y su estupenda alberca, a pie de playa. Es hermoso despertar con el sonido de las olas del amar. Está cerca de la mayoría de los parques temáticos. En general un exelente lugar para pasar tus vacaciones

Far below expectations

The condo is right on the beach in a very interesting part of town. It is an aging condo in need of lots of TLC. The air conditioner did not work in the master bedroom suite, so we could not take advantage of the beautiful views. there was construction dust on the lower floor. We tried to contact the manager, but he never responded to our concerns. The bathroom light also did not work.

Amazing!

Beautiful place with attention to details. Had an amazing and comfortable stay right on the beach. Can hear the waves day and night, you can't find this peace yet with close proximity to 5th Ave and access to all the shops and restaurants. The noise level was acceptable and very minimal when windows and doors are closed. Felt safe with security around. Beautiful place that my family truly enjoyed staying at! would love to come back! thank you

Perfect location

The location was great, walking distance to anything you need. The home has a beautiful view, it’s spacious, and it makes you feel right at home. I loved that it had a washer and dryer ( I was surprised since I hadn’t seen it in the listing or pictures). The host communicated well and helped us anything we needed.

Awesome Condo

Loved the stay. The condo was awesome! The staff was amazing and very helpful. I accidentally hit the lock inside once when leaving which required the staff to get me back inside. Not sure what can be done about this, but apparently the lock is easy to accidently activate. Only other complaint was the lack of beach out front. Not the owners fault, but I wondered if it was possible to work out an arrangement so tenants had access to a nearby beach club so loungers and beach time would be available without needing to pay high daily rental fees?

SCAM AND ROBBED BEWARE BEWARE

I WAS ROBBED BY 2 WOMEN .THE CONDO MANGEMNET COMPANY PEOPLE GAVE THEM MY ACCESS CODE TO ENTER INTO THE CONDO . THEY SAID THEY GOT A EMERGENCY CALL FROM MY WIFE SHE WAS LOCKED OUT AND NEEDED THE CODE THEY GAVE IT TO HER . I AM NOT MARRIED AND WAS ALONE AT THE CONDO. SO I AM NOT GEETING HELP FROM 5 STARS PROPERTY OR CBP MANGEMENT COMPANY. THE SECURITY GUARD WAS IN ON THE SCAM HE WOULD NOT STOP THEM . BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

that condo was great it was clean comfortable ,it would have nice to have a English TV or instruction on how to use. the sea grass issue was very disappointing I know it is nature but was not convey to us how bad I have a problem with that. one night some of the other gust had a party there and it lasted almost all night. security was not present at all or did not want to get involved.

Very clean and cozy

Excellent stay indeed. Clean and cozy place with an ocean view from the balcony , located right on the beach. Will be looking forward to staying here again.

Worth every penny

I rarely write reviews. But I will leave an honest one. The place is great. Best view for the money in the area I spent lots of time looking at other properties. 2 minute stroll to 5th avenue, about 6 minutes to the ferry (6 blocks) There are two things though I will report for others. 1) the place is right on the beach, but there is no beach right in front of the condo any more.. it's eroded pretty much up until the massage people (18 dollar massages right on the sand in front of the condo) This was not a deal breaker whatsoever as the beach to lay on and swim is literally a 3-5 minute walk. I just wanted to note this because the pictures show a decent sized beach but these are obviously old photos. Again, hardly a deal breaker. 2nd. As all the reviews mention there are 3 huge night clubs a minute walk from the condo. Is it crazy super loud.. depends. I need silence when I sleep (other than the sound of the ocean which you get perfectly if you leave the door open) but the bass from the club did annoy me. HOWEVER. not a deal breaker. I went to the store paid 4 dollars for ear plugs and slept like a baby. The people complaining about the noise are just people who complain. Do what I did and buy some ear plugs and enjoy a slice of paradise in a an awesome condo for a great price. The condo was full of towels and other necessities. Ie. Coffee maker. Laundry machine. And some toiletries. I try and travel often, and I like luxury but im always looking for a great deal and don't need much to be happy. This is a bit of both. This place was perfect. Enjoy

Been coming back to the same property year after year and love the value you get . Understand you cant do much about the noise but they desperately need to get some new beach chairs. Everyone of them is falling apart. Also, you use to offer TV which was great for an extended stay but it is no longer available. Need to stay on top of these things to continue to get repeat customers.

Ocean Plaza 12 Escape

The condo location is great and the view of Caribbean is fantastic. Beautiful Caribbean is just steps outside your door. Famous Fifth Avenue is only two blocks away. Sitting on the balcony evenings listening to the surf was very relaxing. The condo was very clean when arriving and maid service came every two days. The condo could use some updating of lighting, paint, mirrors and cabinetry in bathroom. The sofa had a low height and found it was difficult to arise from. The noise factor from club next door was not as bad as we were expecting. Caribbean Beach Properties maid service and property management guest rep were great as were the staff from Ocean Plaza. The condo complex could definitely use new and more beach chairs, many chairs were broken and limited beach chairs were available. The sand beach close to the building, could use raking. There were bottle tops, cigarette butts, and other debris that you walked through to get inside. Cocoa Maya next door was a convienient place to eat and have a few drinks.

Great condo with an awesome location - but ...

Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great condo with an awesome location - but bring those earplugs! Lovely condo right on the water. Lots of beach chairs and even a hammock to take a nap on. The water is nice if you can stand walking through the seaweed and boats that are right along the shore. Once you're past that, the water is great - or you can just take a little stroll a few hundred feet away to where the seaweed doesn't wash up to shore. Housekeeping brought clean bath and beach towels every other day, which saved us from having to wash them ourselves. Having a washer/dryer and fridge was great. We were able to do a load of laundry and buy some tamales to keep in the fridge for breakfast. The noise at night is just as they warn you about. You can't make out what songs are playing at the beach club next door, but you do hear a constant loud bass thumping. Cheap set of earplugs fixed that problem and slept like a champ! Also, we let the property management company know that the light in the shower upstairs wasn't working (which made for dark showers) and that the sink was clogged. We were told the problems would be resolved and fixed - but they weren't. I think all they did was remove the sink stopper in the sink, but it still had a bad time clogging and the light was never replaced. Other than those few issues (seaweed, boats, light in shower and clogged sink) - it was a great vacation!

El departamento esta muy bonito , muy comodas las instalaciones y te proveen de todo lo necesario para tu llegada, el clima funciona muy bien la localización esta excelente , la playa no esta muy buena exactamente enfrente por que hay muchas lanchas , otro detalle también es el ruido al estar tan cerca de todos los antros de playa se escucha muchísimo el ruido. fuera de eso todo esta excelente
