Cozy Lakefront Cabin Near Interlochen

Enjoy our cozy, vintage cabin on beautiful Cedar Hedge Lake. This last of the original Wildwood Resort cabins has been lovingly restored and updated. Located near Interlochen and only 15 minutes from Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

*Cabin has one queen bed, one full sized futon & two twin sized bunk beds.
*All linens are provided.
*Kitchen includes refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, pots & pans, cups & glasses, silverware & some basic spices.
*Two bikes, two kayaks and fishing gear are provided.
*Convenient boat launch and private dock for personal watercraft.
*Cable and WiFi with smart TV and Bluetooth speaker
*Washer/dryer combo with detergent included.
*Basic cleaning supplies, hand soaps, toilet paper and shower body wash provided.
*Firepit with firewood supplied.
*Gas BBQ grill with propane provided.
*Minutes from Interlochen Arts Academy, local restaurants and grocery store.
*Short walk/ride to Lost Lake Trailhead for great hiking and mountain biking.

Interlochen Lake Cabin

Perfect location for visiting family in the area. Cabin was quiet and comfortable. The hosts (Rob and Mary) thought of everything we might need and sure enough it was there. The provided kayaks were a big hit!

Nice cabin, excellent outdoor space and deck. Beautiful little lake, saw loons, swans, turtles frogs and more. Great communication and response from owners. Heads up (or down) for tall people, doorways are low. But overall, a great stay.

The cabin was small but clean and well equipped, the perfect size for three adults. The location was exceptional! It's right on the lake, which was gorgeous and quiet, and we saw lots of wildlife. Loons were regular visitors to the dock! It was chilly so we spent lots of time by the fire and kayaking or just hanging out on the dock, reading and enjoying the beauty. We thoroughly loved our stay! Rob and Mary were warm and receptive to any inquires. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful cabin. We loved it and we hope to return!

Cute little cabin!

My friend and I stayed here for a week. It’s such a cute, clean little cabin! It was such a peaceful stay! It’s not terribly far from the sleeping bear dunes and we made the drive to torch lake not a bad drive! We really loved staying here we spent most of our time on the back porch looking at the lake! Would definitely love to come back! The only thing I did not realize when booking is there is no AC. I brought a fan just in case. They have many fans in the cabin and it stays pretty cool.

Very peaceful and very clean!

This cabin was very peaceful and quiet. We could hear and watch the loons everyday during our stay! The hosts also made sure we had firewood and propane in the grill. The bed and chairs were comfortable as well. It was also decorated nicely and it felt very homey. I would happily stay here again!

September 2024 Vacation

We had a wonderful time staying at this cozy lakefront cabin in Interlochen. We enjoyed bonfires, kayaking, swimming, and grilled meals over a relaxing vacation for 6 days. The cozy lakefront cabin was just perfect for us!! The hosts are very thorough and easy to communicate with and the cabin was exactly as described. We highly recommend renting this cabin!

A great cozy cabin!

A cozy cabin on a very pretty lake! We all enjoyed the swimming, fishing, and kayaking both on Cedar Hedge Lake as well as the day we spent on Long Lake nearby. We had a great week!

Relaxing Cabin Stay

We loved everything about this cabin! The location and lake view was very relaxing. My husband did some fishing and I enjoyed having coffee on the porch every morning. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners communicated promptly & were helpful. We would love to stay again in the future!

Women's Weekend

A friend and I enjoy hiking and exploring new areas. We loved the location of this home. It was clean, efficient, and peaceful. First night we listened to the Loons echo across the lake. Unfortunately, we had rainy/windy weather on the other nights that prevented us from hearing them. However, did see one swimming near our cabin. Would highly recommend this cabin for small groups or family.

Family Vaca

This is a great cabin for a small family that enjoys the outdoors. The layout of the cabin is functional and provides ample privacy for sleeping. The lake is small and private which allows for a peaceful cup of coffee on the dock and calm waters for a kayak ride.

This house was perfect for our family trip to Michigan! It wasn't huge but we spent most our time exploring the nearby beaches / rivers, and outside building fires, grilling, kayaking and swimming on the lake. House was well stocked with beach blankets, towels, fishing poles, kayaks, bikes...

Spot of heaven by the lake

Quaint and Cozy

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts are very responsive to any requests or questions. They have thought of several things that one may forget or need. The cabin is very cozy and the outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying the lake and fireplace.

Awesome location, charming house, peaceful lake

Great stay, the homeowners go above and beyond to make guests comfortable. Be prepared the home seems small at first, but the layout is very clever and we never felt cramped. Two decks with lake views are awesome, easy boat parking right on the property. It was a wonderful week!

Quiet hideaway

Small but lovely cottage! The bed was so comfy and cottage had everything we needed! The lake is great for kayaking but swimming took some work getting past the mucky bottom at the shore and dock/ladder area. Clearing the vegetation would improve the value and experience but we know it’s a lot of work! Rob and Mary were great to work with

Great Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was extremely well equipped, everything we needed was there. We loved the setting on Cedar Hedge Lake. The place felt like a classic summer cabin. Tall people need to be careful going through doorways! We were there for a break in a month-long road trip and the place was perfect for unwinding for a few days. We appreciate the owners’ sharing this lovely property.
