A True Four-Season Getaway ❄️🌸☀️🍂

While summer on Silver Lake is spectacular, many guests return specifically for fall colors, winter spa weekends, and quiet spring escapes. There’s nothing quite like soaking in the hot tub or sauna while snow falls on the lake, then retreating inside to a warm, cozy cottage.

Peak summer stays (mid-June through mid-August) are offered as limited Friday–Friday weekly reservations.
Outside of peak summer, Slice-of-Heaven TC is ideal for shorter stays, couples’ retreats, girls’ trips, milestone celebrations, and peaceful off-season getaways.

• 🚗 AWD/4WD required during winter months due to steep driveway

We stayed here for a bachelorette trip and had the best time! The space was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay. The hosts truly went above and beyond for us, making the weekend even more special. The location was perfect, and communication was so easy. We couldn’t have picked a better spot to celebrate! Highly recommend!!

Dan and Lisa were wonderful hosts and the space really felt like a slice of heaven. Our family enjoyed the beach, the sauna , the hot tub and trips into town for dinner and ice cream. I would recommend this home to anyone, any season of the year.

We had a really nice stay at this property with our 3 children (ages 6, 8 and 11). We enjoyed the very large private beach, kayaks, hot tub and sauna and would definitely stay here again. We think a winter stay would be really nice! There are several decent restaurants near by and a bowling alley not too far, and the drive into downtown Traverse City is not bad either - about 20 minutes. Silver Lake is just beautiful and we loved exploring and swimming!Two minor issues we had that I wish would have been communicated: (1) even though there is a very large beach, there were very minimal sand toys at the property (I happened to throw ours in the van last minute and was very glad that I did!) and there were minimal swim floaties to use, just a few swim noodles (I almost threw our “river tubes” in the van but did not - and wish I would have), and (2) for a family of 5, we were only provided 5 beach towels for the entire week and there’s no laundry facility. I had not packed beach towels, but would have had I known. Just a few suggestions for guest communication so we can better plan what to pack to fully enjoy all of the amenities! But we loved the property and had a fabulous time! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Definitely a Slice of Heaven

We enjoyed my birthday trip here. It's a beautiful property with a huge beach. It's a short, scenic drive to many small, cute towns and wineries. We would come back.

Perfect Setting

The attention to detail is impressive. Such a cozy inviting cottage, from the views to the warm lighting and stocked kitchen, it was perfect. My girlfriends couldn’t stop saying how much they loved everything about it, so much that we never left throughout the weekend. Sitting in the hot tub & sauna in the snow definitely added to the experience. Highly recommended l!

Amazing

Amazing from top to bottom. Can’t say enough about how beautiful and peaceful this property is. We all had an amazing time, from my 90/83 year old parents to our teenage son and his two friends. Every detail was thought of and as advertised. I’m not sure there is a better piece of property on the entire lake.

It truly is a Slice of Heaven!

My family and I had the very best trip and absolutely loved this cottage! The amenities were plentiful and every detail was considered. We really loved the beach, kayaks, and paddle boards. The twinkle lights made coming home in the evenings feel like magic, and that deck was my favorite way to start each morning! We hope to return!

Slice of Traverse City Heaven: Where Saunas Meet Snowflakes!

Nestled right on the lake, this place is so close to nature, it's like Mother Earth is your neighbor who occasionally pops over to borrow a cup of tranquility. I imagine in the summer the private beach is like a VIP section for your feet to frolic in the sand, and the view? It's so picturesque that even Instagram filters get jealous. The hot tub was clean and well maintained! The sauna? A glorious snow globe on steroids where stress evaporates faster than my dignity during karaoke. The cold plunge? Well, let's just say it's not for the faint-hearted but perfect for reenacting scenes from an Arctic adventure movie. I'm pretty sure I saw a penguin. The kitchen had all the gadgets and gizmos wannabe chefs like us could dream of! The only thing missing was a live studio audience to applaud our culinary masterpiece – frozen pizza with a view! Crystal Mountain Resort is just 30 minutes away; I managed to not fall face-first into the snow too many times. The hot cocoa afterward was well deserved - or at least that's what I told myself. Our host was attentive, friendly, and practically a wizard at making sure everything was perfect. And here's the kicker – we accidentally left behind a cherished baseball hat, and the host went above and beyond! They mailed it to us free of charge, turning a forgetful moment into a testament of exceptional hospitality. In conclusion, Slice of Heaven is the kind of place where you can be as lazy or as active as you want - highly recommended!

Beautifully appointed cottage on an unbelievable piece of property! The views are just spectacular. The cottage is bright and airy and fresh with windows allowing views of the lake from both ends of the cottage. It was a very warm week and the air conditioning kept the place well cooled. Beds and bedding’s were very comfortable.This place is quite a find… if available…book it! You won’t be sorry.

Great location!

We had a really nice time staying here. The views were amazing! It was easy to get to all of the different places we went from Slice of Heaven. Its hard to know how easy or hard it is to travel around when you are in a new place.There was plenty of room for the 5 of us. We really appreciated the amenities offered even if we didn't use them all. Thanks again for the great stay!

Epic Trip

We had 6 couples celebrating 40th birthdays--our stay could not have been any better. The property is beautiful, well maintained and has everything you could possibly need. They layout has large common areas, but enough space to have privacy when you want. The property manager took care of us at every turn, was in constant contact, and gave amazing recommendations. Just do it. You won't regret staying here!

Girls Weekend

Everything is thought of by this host. The home was clean and exactly as described. Plenty of little touches such as iPhone chargers and make-up wipes. We enjoyed the proximity to everything Traverse City has to offer while being just far enough outside of it for true peace and quite. Will 100% recommend and plan to stay again.

Our Secret Getaway

We love love love this little cottage! This stay was our second with this particular group of girlfriends, and was the perfect getaway both visits. This year was a bit colder and more rainy than normal, so we couldn't enjoy the bonfire and paddleboards like we typically would have, but the new hot tub definitely made up for the weather. If there was any advice we'd leave for other guests, we'd recommend bringing an air mattress over sleeping on the pull out couch (it's like every pull out couch you've ever slept on - just not the best) but we knew that going in and were prepared. Thanks for another great year!

Beautiful stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and had an absolutely wonderful time. The property was absolutely beautiful with incredible views. Everything we needed was there and it was very clean. The property manager and owner were very responsive when I emailed about a minor issue. Loved our stay here!

Adventure North Vacation Rentals is a true family-run operation that we manage personally with the help of Dan’s sister, Shawne, as well as Lisa’s parents and brother, Andy.
