The condo was very nicely decorated and comfortable, and well equipped with beach supplies which we very much appreciated. The hostess was extremely helpful and accommodating.

We had a very clean & comfortable second floor condo with a lanai decorated with high top swivel chairs & a sturdy glass top table. We spent 90% of our vacation either there or walking to the food truck village or Safeway or Joey's Kitchen or in the ocean or watching humpback whales slapping their tails & getting friendly with each other. Whoever isn't in love in Maui will leave with love inside their heart....for sure!

Beautiful sunsets from the lanai!We very much enjoyed our stay here. The unit was well appointed and very clean. The views were spectacular! We were able to watch turtles swim by.

Perfect stay for relaxation and appreciation of the area

The property is approx 1 mile, in each direction, from "busy" resort type areas. Restaurants/stores/shops are easily walkable. After sunset, bring a light during your walk. Streets not 100% lit. We stayed 12 days and not once did we need to contact the owners. Everything was at our finger tips. Kitchen had all needed utensils. Coffee maker. Toaster over. Pots. Pans. Pyrex cookware. Leftover containers. I mean everything. Bathroom had starter soap, shampoo and conditioner. Washer/dryer worked no problem. Washer is loud. Just dont do laundry when you go to bed. There is NO A/C unit. Front door has a screen that locks and with the slider open flows air through, no problem. It was never hot enough during our stay (mid 70s-low 80s). July 17-29. Sleeping near the street can be tough with traffic. But it is what it is. This property is one of the only places with direct beach (real sand, not rocks or rock wall) access. Pool and spa were sparkling. A lot of places are essentially the same price range in this area. Dont skip this place. It's a gem

Turtles galore!

Such a perfect spot right on the ocean! Turtles come up every night to sleep and even sunbathe during the day. We went in January and saw whales breaching on a regular basis. Very quiet little beach but have the luxury of seeing everything from your balcony. Only downside is it’s not super kid friendly. No noodles in the pool, no kids in the hot tub and no hanging towels anywhere on the balcony. There are a lot of rules. The waves are a bit aggressive on the beach so I wouldn’t recommend it for young kids. Otherwise, we had a blast! Our condo was perfect for what we needed it for. Super clean and had all the equipment we needed.

Sunset Views

We arrived in Maui about 1pm, stopped at Costco to get groceries, and ended up at the property about 4pm. The place was easy to find and well situated in the complex on the 2nd floor next to the elevator. We liked drinking our morning coffees on the balcony. It was perfect to have taller chairs on the balcony to watch the sunset and waves each day. Each unit is provided a parking pass and key to get to the pool and beach area. The complex has a small private beach, and turtles would rest on the beach each day. Groceries and souvenirs are expensive in the area, so we went back to Costco and Target near the airport to purchase everything we needed. On one of the days, we took a one-hour ferry to Lanai to see the town and cat sanctuary. We chose this property so that we could leave the screen door open and listen to the waves all day. We cooked most of the time; the owners had stocked the place well. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer. Our stay was perfect. Thank you.

Slice of Heaven

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay. Clark and Holley are incredible hosts. From the moment we booked they graced us with their spirit of aloha. The condo is well appointed and clean The sunsets from the lanai are unbeatable. The grounds are well kept and the pool was always the perfect temp. Lots of turtles came to visit on the beach. The snorkeling off the beach was fantastic. This spot is a slice of heaven!!!

A Paradise Home Away From Home

What a wonderful stay we had at Holley and Clark’s condo unit at Hale Mahina. The condo offered all the comforts of home. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. The décor and furnishings were comfortable and some are very unique. The palm tree styled table and chair set was great for enjoying meals right off the kitchen. The lanai also offered a great table set with tall chairs to enjoy the ocean view and watch the many whales and dolphins through the binoculars that were in the condo. We were even lucky enough to watch a Monk Seal arrive to the beach! The sandy beach felt very private and was great for snorkeling with turtles and to play in the surf. The condo even had two boogie-boards to use. The condo featured wonderful laminate floors in the kitchen and living areas with had a fairly recent kitchen upgrade. Small appliances like a blender, toaster oven and drip coffee maker were a nice asset. The resort’s amenities such as the swimming pool, hot tub, barbeque area, lawn and gardens were all well maintained and inviting. Holley was quick to respond to our messages from the moment we made our booking through VRBO, so communication was always top-rate and welcoming. We would look forward to returning to Holley and Clark’s condo without hesitation. Mahalo!

Great Condo Fantastic Location!

This property was great, perfect amenities, fantastic location, with picturesque balcony/beach. Would definitely stay again! We only wished the unit had a decent vacuum — just to keep the floors tidy from sand. Highly recommend nonetheless! 10 out of 10.

Beautiful suite and location!

My wife and I (in our sixties) absolutely loved this suite at the Hale Mahina. It is beautifully updated and immaculately clean. It is on the second floor in the "A" building. The lanai is very private and the view is breathtaking...so close to the ocean with it's own little beach! The suite had everything you would need and more. Holley, the owner, was a pleasure to work with...very easy process to book and reserve, and responded right away to any questions. Will definitely stay here again!

Stayed in the area for a wedding. Beautiful unit and grounds with views of the ocean from our lanai. Fun walks across the street at the beaches, and close to so many beautiful beaches to explore! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

From the well-kept beach and outdoor area to the features of the condo (e.g., updated kitchen and in-unit laundry), this property has everything to make your stay in Maui comfortable. It is a great base to explore the island from. And the location with its sounds and view is priceless.

Very beautiful condo in Maui

Stayed at Hale Mahina beach resort in Maui. The unit was wonderful, updated, clean and the tropical breeze was amazing. Great views from private balcony. Unit was well furnished and stocked with basic essentials. Loved the added beach blankets, snorkeling gear, even had golf clubs! Great neighborhood. Would stay again

Home-away-from-home in PARADISE!

The condo is gorgeous, with tasteful Hawaiian accents throughout. The ocean is right out your back porch and with access to a private beach & spa area you don’t even need to drive to experience the relaxation of Maui. Turtles pull into the beach every evening to share in the relaxing vibe, and morning snorkeling can reveal even more hidden beauty only a few quick paddles from the shore. Tile & beautiful wood flooring make for instant relief on beach-burned feet and sun drenched skin and a clever floor plan combined with well placed fans ensure a breezy respite even the hottest summer days/nights. Washer and dryer in unit as well as a gorgeous kitchen make this little slice of paradise feel like home and honestly, we never wanted to leave!

Amazing place to stay!

This was the perfect place to stay with my family of four. Great location. Very nice and quiet resort. Great condo with views of ocean. The condo was very clean and well stocked. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend to family/ friends.

Sunsets, turtles and whales- oh my

The unit is exactly as described and well appointed. The sunsets from the balcony were breathtaking. The beach area was perfect - we even saw sea turtles sunning themselves there each day.

We are a retired couple from Salt Lake City, Utah. Clark is a retired social work and Holley is a certified ski instructor at Alta. We enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, camping, road biking and golfing. We never thought we would become ocean lovers.

We have stayed at this complex for 14 weeks over the past 3 years. Hale Mahina was love at first night! We feel very lucky we had the opportunity to purchase this unit in January.
We are pleased that we can share our piece of paradise with you.

This condo is unique.... seriously. Why? Because the ocean is less than stone's throw from our lanai. You look down on a beautiful expanse of lawn, beach and crashing waves. Not to mention turtles sleeping on the beach and whales. Great snorkeling is extremely close buy. The best part is our little beach is not accessible to the public. Many of the people hanging on the beach live here year round. It is a super friendly community that truly practices the spirit of Aloha! Come and see for yourself.
