3BR Historic Home w/Pool & all Mod-Cons!

Welcome to Flora House! This attractive cottage-style house was built in 1903 when Governor’s Harbour was an important pineapple growing area, exporting to Europe and the United States. Flora House has recently been completely renovated, from top to bottom, and includes everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay on Eleuthera!

The space
The stylish, well-chosen furnishings and latest modern appliances have been carefully considered, well blending in the ‘old with the new’ and making Flora House a most comfortable, well equipped and ‘feel good’ holiday house situated in the historical quarter of Governors Harbour.

Flora’s living room, kitchen, and dining area open onto the terrace, the swimming pool, and sunbathing deck.

The three en-suite bedrooms are on the second floor and open onto a balcony with views over the tropical garden, out towards the bay, westwards, and beyond. Each bedroom has a lavish en-suite bath finished in coral stone. Two of the bedroom suites have king beds and the third has a queen.

Flora House is conveniently close to the main hub of Governor's Harbour. There are two supermarkets, several restaurants & a great little coffee shop, gift shops, and two banks (with Atm services) nearby.

If you require any concierge services, we are more than happy to assist. These include provisioning for groceries and alcohol prior to arrival, airport pick-up/drop-off, car rental, chef services, spa services, etc. Simply contact us with any queries you may have.

At Squires Estate, your well-being is our top priority. We are taking the Covid-19 virus very seriously and want to ensure your comfort and safety when booking any one of our properties. We are disinfecting all hard surfaces with approved cleaning agents between stays as we have always done. We are happy to facilitate a seamless, and contact-less check-in should you require this, and can also arrange for provisions to be delivered to your rental ahead of your arrival and assist with any other requests that may arise.

Great property

Our group of 6 adults was very happy with our stay. The house was comfortable including the beds which is so important. We loved hanging out at the pool after a day at the beach. Being in walking distance of restaurants and some shopping makes it a great location. We had a few questions during our stay and Patrick was quick to respond. We highly recommend this property and would stay again!he

Great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here upon arrival to Eleuthera. We had three couples, and the layout gave everyone plenty of privacy as well as great communal spaces. It was nice to be within walking distance of several restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommend Squires Estates!

Adorable home with all modern amenities close to everything

There were 6 in our party and we had plenty of room. We loved being able to walk to the coffee shop, grocery and bakery. Just a quick hop in the car to one gorgeous beach after another. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Flora house was absolutely perfect! Exactly as pictured online the pool and grounds were pristine. Very well provisioned! Short walk to French leave beach. Patrick greeted us upon arrival and even had our wine we ordered chilled !! He was incredibly helpful through out our stay! We can't wait to go back again

Summer Stay

The Flora House was beautiful! This was our first time on the island and it did not disappoint. There are many things to do around the area in Governors Harbour, including restaurants, walkable stores, and the Friday night fish fry! Patrick and the rest of the team were extremely helpful our whole trip. We had issues with the AC in one bedroom and they fixed it within the day. They also replenished our pool and bath towels throughout the week so we did not need to wash them ourselves. The house is very clean and equipped with everything you need for your trip! There is also the Squires Village up the road with coffee, gift shop, and the best sandwiches! I would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful spot!

The house was adorable! Perfect for 3 couples! New kitchen and everything we needed! Joy and Dom were amazing - if you needed anything - they were on it! We had a cancelled flight so ended up getting there in the dark and the rain - never having been there before. Joy called us and enroute and was worried about us having food - made a list and raced to a grocery store 20 minutes south of her to get stuff just before it closed! I guess we were there one week too early, though, as Tippy's and Buchanner and others were opening up the weekend we left. We loved DaPerk for breakfast! Hope to be back!

Perfect Cottage

What a great cottage in the heart of GH. Walkable to many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. The Aloha house was the perfect fit for our family of 5 (18, 14, and 8 yo kids). There was plenty of space with two cozy living areas downstairs, an ample and updated kitchen, dining area and half bath. Then the porches, oh the summer breeze that you can enjoy on these porches. Great pool area and pool deck for all to enjoy. Gas grill was handy for grilling some fresh caught fish. Upstairs features the 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, they all share a deck facing the water, such a beautiful spot for a morning coffee. Quick stop store literally across the street (30 second walk), Buccaneer Club and ice cream store one street over (1 minute walk), Da Perk and waterfront (2-3 minute walk). Great location for all things GH, superb house, and even better host. We were greeted by Patrick not long after check-in and saw him a few times throughout our stay, always felt like he was reachable if anything went wrong. This compound does have a generator which was welcomed. Five stars, wouldn't hesitate staying here again

Fabulous Family Christmas!

All of the management staff were so very accommodating and helpful from the moment of reservation and throughout our stay. We had stayed at the Squire Estate a few years prior and knew we wanted to come back to this area for another visit. The Flora House was perfect for our needs; fully stocked and AMAZING views!! Look forward to a visit in the future!

We had a great stay at Flora House. Property as advertised - furniture and fixtures were comfortable and very nice. Kitchen equipped for basic cooking, and air conditioning worked great. Pool was amazing - we spent a few afternoons there when not visiting the local beaches. My only small issue would be that laundry is not in the house, but two houses down in the basement. Not a big deal, but discouraged me from putting in the extra effort to wash our beach towels mid-vacation! Location was great for exploring the island. Da Perk Cafe was great - we had breakfast there every morning. Not relevant to the house but the "noseeums" were bad - I came home with a ridiculous amount of bug bites. Beware sitting by the pool around 4PM onward.. Overall, great trip and great house that is comfortable for a family.

Gorgeous home in a great location

Our group of six adults had an amazing time at Flora House. It is perfectly situated in Governor's Harbour within walking distance of shopping and restaurants and just a stone's throw from an amazing ocean view. The home is beautifully decorated and had thoughtful touches. The pool area is so relaxing and gorgeous. The amenities are great- almost everything you need for the ultimate Eleuthera experience. Thanks to Dominic and Joy for their quick communication!

Impressive

My wife booked this place and she killed it! The house is new, beautiful and close to everything. The manager was there 5 minutes after I called and left me home-made bread. Kitchen has everything, and there is room for 7/8 people if you use the couch on the first floor. Pool is nice too. It was a great vacation due in no small part to the house and the amenities. 5 minute walk to good restaurants.
