Quaint Glamping Cottage on Private Island, Sandy Beach with Freshwater Pool!

Glamping on a small private island with panoramic views of the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean and your own sandy beach (a rarity in the Keys) is a special experience for fishermen, bird watchers, and nature lovers.

Glamping means different things to different people – from a nice tent in the woods with a shared bathroom to a an canvas palace in Africa. Our Floridian definition is a whitewashed cabin perched on a high platform with some pink, blue or green accents, an outdoor shower, and a couple of simple private indoor bathrooms and a basic kitchen. Being Florida, we of course need air conditioning. But what sets us apart is the location in the uncrowded middle Keys, the nature, and yes… that turquoise water in every direction.

Our island is a unique paradise, surrounded by swimmable ocean, fishing spots, and a nature walk along our peninsula that juts out further into the ocean and leads to a dolphin pool (former home to Flipper!) Our island is separated from the Overseas Highway by a private causeway, offering an exclusive experience. We have kayaks and paddle boards for you to explore the calm reef-protected waters surrounding the island. You will also have a fresh-water swimming pool, a boat basin, and a boat launch.

Our Little Conch Island is not just a secluded paradise, but also conveniently located. It's a short distance from the Marathon Airport, the Dolphin Research Center, a water skiing facility, and the numerous restaurants, grocery stores, and gift shops between Marathon and Islamorada. A bike path is just over our causeway, the 7-mile Bridge is 20 minutes away, and Key West is just over an hour away.

The Florida Keys is a magical place with some of the best fishing, boating, and reef diving anywhere in the world. The glamping cabins of Little Conch Key are the perfect place from which to explore – being near everything you would want, yet a world away.

Our property is a beautiful destination and professionally managed by Casa Luxora. This ensures that your stay will be smooth and enjoyable, allowing you to focus on the beauty and tranquility of our island, and the surrounding waters and nature.

Little Conch

Perfect location without a hundred other people. With a little attention to maintenance, cleaning and amenities, this could be the best place in the Keys to stay. We did however, still thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This is not a hotel or resort. If you are looking for hotel amenities etc. if you are looking for a comfortable place to take time relax away from it all and connect with the outdoors and take in the keys for what made them great in the beginning this is the place. The cottages is comfortable sleeps well and has everything you need to escape and relax in the sun, on the water or in the pool. Bring a boat, paddle board and sense to explore. Local shopping is close by, and you are not far from some great spots in islamorada and marathon, from Robbie’s to the Aquarium, Bahia Honda Key and more. The host is great and very responsive. I’d have been down a few times and will be back.

The location is awesome, beach is nice, pool was clean but surrounding furniture was in poor shape, kayaks and wake board were okay but in need of repair, lagoon and boat ramp were good, shared pavilion was nice but littered with trash, cottage was okay but master bath toilet was broke, property manager said he'd come fix it but never showed up, washer didn't work, dryer worked but not well. Overall this property's location is incredible, but the facilities are poorly maintained, trash pickup was supposed to be daily but never happened

Wonderful little spot

A gorgeous location and great beach house. Well appointed and clean. Much nicer than "glamping". We enjoyed the private beach, the serenity of the property and the dark skies at night. Our hosts were wonderful and friendly while giving us our space. We'd love to return.

Family Memorial Weekend

The perfect, authentic, unpretentious slice of the Florida Keys. The private beach made for so much family fun! The cottage was clean and comfortable and the location perfect for us. We really enjoyed what felt like out own private island.

Nice cottage, lots of privacy.

Great communication before and during the stay to make all our expectations were met. Very clean and had the genuine "Keys feel". Would recommend to people that like a private place. Great location between Marathon and Islamirada. Also, only an hour drive to Key West.

Keys Getaway with a wedding included

Perfect spot. The landlord allowed us to prepare a beautiful wedding for 40 guests under the palms at sunset. The location was perfect and the amenities were plentiful - kayaks, boat dock, pool and the beautiful ocean. Highly recommend it.

Great location

This place is located on a small private beach and we truly enjoyed it! We were lucky enough to have 5 days on this secluded island and just loved it. The property is lovely with a nice pool,beach, and small docking area. The house itself needs some work but who cares!! I didn't come here to sit in the house...I would highly recommend it if you want to relax in paradise!!

Deceiving

We arrived to this property & we’re not there even an hour before we decided to stay somewhere else. The deck was falling apart & wood rotted. Windows had mold growing on them. Couch was stained like someone used the bathroom on it. Linens were stained brown as well. Pictures are very misleading. Only positive thing I have to say is we were refunded most of our money back.

Pictures were deceiving. Furniture in the living room was very dirty and worn and should be replaced. Not a comfortable seat in the place. Bedrooms were nice. Kitchen was okay but lacked cooking utensils. The deck around the house was dangerous. Lack of outdoor furniture was sad. The pool area was nice, location is beautiful. Area was great.

Thanksgiving Getaway

This home was just what we were looking for. A simple home right on the beach. We spent our days between hanging out on the private beach and exploring the different islands. We enjoyed using the kayaks several times and our son enjoyed the pool. My husband just wished he had his fishing gear. The home is a little older, but it was clean and had everything we needed. The beach is perfect for wading, hermit crab hunting, and watching the ocean.

The house floors were not clean and sticky. The VRBO site said it was a 3 bedroom with a hot tub. Was a 2 bedroom without a hot tub. The house structure is questionable the deck and railings were loose and boards raised so had to be careful where we walked. The metal fasteners for the structure were rusty and some were not attached and The kitchen sink faucet came apart upon using it. The small bedrooms glass sliding doors didn’t work. The fan in the living area was noisy and shaking. Smelled moldy upon entering the house. The dishes in the cabinets needed cleaned. Many spots on the ceilings (looks like mold coming through. The doors to outside to the view of the beach/water were hard to open and close due to the doors not being in alignment. Had broken outside chairs. Washer and dryer was in a shed in the back with no electricity going to it. The outside shower was unusable. The inside shower off the hall area had a questionable bottom, it felt like you were standing on something that moving. It was not the best experience unfortunately I believe that the pictures on VRBO were from a while ago and not current in conditions they are now

No stars would have been closer to the truth.

The house is in disrepair.The deck is in really bag shape, to the point you can fall though. Electrical outlets not installed properly in the walls in the kitchen and living room. Back mold in the vents, very dirty over all also. Owner did reverse charges for the week except for the one night we stayed.If the house (houses three on site) were cleaned and repaired,this site would be a great place to stay with a private beach and the views.

Peace and Serenity

The property is isolated and serene. We used to come when it was Conch Key Cottages and thought it had been destroyed. The property has 5 houses and was the most quiet and serene experience ever! Private beach with clear water and more than adequate pool. We were the only ones at the pool. It’s classic old school, spartan Keys living with character. It’s not modernized, but we weren’t looking for that. Don’t expect the Four Seasons, but if you want peace and quiet, this is it!

Beautiful location, run down house

The location is extremely beautiful and very convenient to Marathon and Islamorada. There is a small private beach just outside the front of the house. It does need to be said, this house is incredibly run down. I do not think if I had known this house was in such bad shape that I would have looked at booking somewhere else. This was an expensive place to book, and I had to put up a substantial damage deposit. When we got there the air conditioning was not working although the property manager had a company come out immediately. Overall, its not a bad place to book but the house is in rough shape.

Sweet private beach

The location is great. The cottage is satisfactory. It is in need of some repair and maintenance. The bathroom floor is bad. The washing machine did not work. Otherwise, some restoration to a better all-around condition.
