A delightful house with an amazing view.
The owners are clearly very artistic. Everywhere you look there's a little touch of personal artistry. An arranged group of stones, careful lighting, here a wall decoartion, there a different aspect of the view down onto the bay. Super.
The intruder alarm gave us a little (noisy) problem for a few hours, one day, but it was finally fixed and silence was restored.... the nearest shops are in Gytheion, a few km to the west (drive, too far to walk), but there is a seasonal taverna close by (400 m). When we were there (early October in the Year of The Coronavirus), it was very quiet and the range of food was limited; but it WAS good. The beach with the shipwreck is close by, but maybe not the easiest to get into the sea, because of the nature of the shoreline. However, if you walk to the left, along the main road, on leaving the villa - there are a few narrow sandy bays off the road which are just perfect. I didn't have the enthusiasm to get up in time to walk tothe shipwreck for a sunrise photoshoot... but we're thinking of staying there again during this trip, so maybe next time I'll get up in the dark and go for that walk.
