Tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined court, Playa del Terry is a spacious 1400 sq ft 3bd/2ba condo for short- or long-term rental in South Mission Beach. The property is located steps (1 min) away from the volleyball courts at the southern-most end of the boardwalk, with the beach on one side and the bay on the other, and a short bike ride from Belmont park (10 min ride). The neighborhood is less chaotic than most of the area, making this location ideal for anyone who wants to sample the many activities but escape to a calm retreat when it's time to unwind.

The private outdoor patio has a fire pit and barbecue, next to a pathway where you can chat with friendly neighbors. The condo is on the second story, with two private staircases and entrances, and an open, wrap-around floor plan that situates two bedrooms and a bath on one side of the unit, and the master on the opposite side.

The living room has a "tree house" feel, perched over the patio with view of its palm trees and foliage. While the windows brighten the space with natural light, there are privacy and black-out shades. The kitchen is fully stocked, and toiletries and beach towels are also provided. This condo is owner-ran by a local San Diegan who will be available to answer questions promptly and ensure your stay is wonderful.

Here are a few important notes to make sure this is the right place for your vacation:

No A/C: Like most of the units in Mission beach, there is no A/C. As reflected in the reviews, this has not a problem for previous guests, thanks to the San Diego temperate climate and coastal breezes.

Parking: There is one designated parking space. It is narrow, beneath the condo, and accessed through the alley, so it requires a little maneuvering. The owner provides tips for how to back into the spot, and we've been able to fit full-sized sedans, SUVs, and minivans with care. There is additional parking on the street and in nearby lots, but during weekends and holidays, parking is hard to find at the beach!
