A peaceful and relaxing retreat. Located in the traditional farming community of La Cienega, the house sits on 4 acres of land that includes a creek that runs seasonally, lined with mature cottonwoods. Feel like you're on a rural vacation away from it all yet be only 15 minutes from Santa Fe and 45 minutes from Albuquerque. This family friendly house is beautifully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen for a home away from home experience and a hot tub to soak and experience the amazing stars.

House was in great location. Beds all comfy & house clean. If you cook I mentioned a few things to the owner that the house could use, otherwise everything was great! Shower pressure was awesome!! Host communicated extremely well!

The neighborhood drive appeal was a little less than desirable, but the house and grounds themselves were excellent. It was very comfortable and clean, and the view in the back yard was lovely! I would definitely stay there again!

Everything was wonderful at the house one thing that we all thought of is maybe night lights it's very dark when you shut the lights off in the room otherwise everything was perfect. We had a great time. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Great Place

Authentically decorated house which fit six of us very comfortably for our time sleeping, eating, and relaxing. Has an amply stocked kitchen, supply closet/laundry room, linen closet, and bathrooms. Hot tub was clean and worked. Probably the best stocked VRBO I've ever been in, actually. Nice welcome book with plenty of suggestions for local attractions, not too many rules or restrictions, cleaning responsibilities were very manageable. Located in a semi-private neighborhood with interesting places to explore, like the water out back, and the church and cemetery out front. We loved hearing the neighbor's animals (chickens, goats, cows?) lol.We talked about how much we loved being at this house while we were there and we would certainly stay there again.

Beautiful Home Just Outside Santa Fe

It is an easy drive to Santa Fe from this location. Perfect for traveling to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and surrounding areas. The house is very comfortable. Jose goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and have everything that you need.

Comfortable, quiet home

I came down with my brothers and son for some golf in the Santa Fe area. This property was was perfect for our group. The beds were comfortable, the common areas were great, and the neighborhood was quiet. Jose, the property owner, was great with communication and we all had a good time.

Jose was responsive kind and respectful. The house was bigger than I thought and so nicely laid out and decorated well. The hot tub was clean and large. We enjoyed it very much! Beds comfy. Neighborhood very neat and quiet. Would stay again!

Peaceful oasis in a great location

Just five minutes off I-25, easy to get to Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Great house, very clean, all needed appliances/conveniences. Quiet area. Highly recommended.

Perfect location, perfect rental. Period

Don’t be fooled as you enter the town of La Cienega, this is the perfect spot just outside of Santa Fe to commute to everything near and far. Occasionally you find a rental that you say “That’d be how I’d do it, because I’d do it right if I were an owner”. This is that place. Perhaps one of the best places I’ve ever rented on VRBO. Because it was rented by a human, an owner (not a company) who put mad efforts into this place in both design and construction. The artwork alone in the house is world class, as good as any gallery downtown. The hot tub was the biggest hot tub we’ve ever had in a rental (real jacuzzi brand). The back patio was amazing, we sat out there every night. The TV had every app installed when we rented, this is quite unusual, but we took advantage in downtime. There are plenty of supplies of consumables (soap, paper towels, tp, laundry etc), as well as a huge stash of condiments, cooking oil etc. Owners were communicative and responsive and flexible too. We can’t say enough about this place. Being not right downtown we found a huge advantage, going up to the mountains (Taos, Sandia Crest), or to Albuquerque proper. Incredible sunsets every night on the patio. And it was cheaper too. An amazing rental with amazing hosts. A must stay!

Beautiful Home

Just a beautiful, comfortable, spacious home! Easy drive to Sunport and Santa Fe’s restaurants and art scene. Quiet neighborhood and the hot tub was a welcome treat after long hikes. Large enough for a family or friend group. Kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely rent again.

Great time in La Cienega!

Everything was absolutely perfect during our stay here. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we could possibly need. The outlets in one of the bedrooms were not worked we arrived due to a breaker. We were unable to locate the breaker box but the host arrived to take of the problem within the hour. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely getaway, well-appointed

Absolutely charming house; the space is very functional / easy to move around in. We stayed with 2 couples and found everything wonderful. The listing is well-detailed. Check-in instructions were received in a timely manner, with the recommendation that we shouldn’t try to arrive / find the house for first time in the dark. We agree with that (even though we arrived in the daylight.)

Quiet and just as advertised

We were looking for a quiet location and we got it! the house was clean and the amenities were just as described in the listing. I wish the kitchen had a few more products (baking sheets, aluminum foil) but you just never know. The owner was very fast to respond to questions and worked with us quickly on one issue.

Great Stay in Santa Fe

We highly recommend staying at Jose and Andrea's property when you visit New Mexico, you will be glad you did. They are excellent hosts who care about making their rental guests comfortable. A/C broke before our stay and they purchased cooling units to keep the place cool (though in evenings it cools down if you can sleep with open windows - we could not due to allergies). They kept us up-to-date on the a/c repair and made sure we were cool and comfortable in the house. They provide you with coffee, the place is spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable and the location is ideal. When staying in Santa Fe this is a great rental choice!

Great stay, had everything we needed

The house was perfect. Clean and organized. We only used the hot tub just once but it was great after a day of skiing. There’s plenty of privacy but it’s not too far from town. Would def stay again!

Girls week in Santa Fe

We rented this property for a week to explore Santa Fe and the surrounding area. The home is in a rural area, with neighbors not too far away. It is a very clean, well decorated and comfortable, the internet worked well to check in with work each morning. Love the outdoor patio and fenced back yard. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms, and kitchen were well stocked. (Coffee, pancake mix and syrup!) We were not traveling with children, but there were items in the house to accommodate. We did contact the host just to let them know we arrived without issue and that we had left. Both times he was very responsive. Love everything about this property!

This property is located along a narrow country lane. Yet only a mile to I-25. The house is immaculate and has almost anything which you could want/need. Extremely clean and quiet. Our stay was very comfortable.

What a gem!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. We would return here and would recommend it to friends. The home is relatively new and is well furnished. We hosted five adults with no issues. The property is clean and well cared-for. We had spectacular sunsets over the hills from the back porch, and enjoyed the quiet location in a rural setting. The home is conveniently situated between Santa Fe (15 min) and Albuquerque (45 min). We loved the small Catholic church across the road from the house (La Capilla) and attended Mass there Sunday 10:00 am. This is a good choice to be near Santa Fe but out of the urban hustle and bustle.

This area is simply gorgeous and it's not that often that you get the opportunity to expand your creekside property by an additional 4 acres. We look forward to sharing this new home with others so they can also experience the beauty of this area.

This property abuts the La Cienega creek which runs seasonally during the year. The area is simply beautiful with mature cottonwoods running along the creek. The fact that you can walk down the property and feel like you're somewhere in the mountains next to a creek is amazing. The stars at night are spectacular. It's located in a rural traditional farming community and you feel like you're away from it all yet its only 15 minutes away from Santa Fe. You get the privacy and relaxation or rural living but can easily take a trip to Santa Fe to see the sights.
