This pet-friendly space offers a comfortably furnished interior with a wood-burning stove, laundry machines, and covered deck with a gas grill! Whether you’re here to taste the local wines, explore National Park, or take a trip to Fresno, this peaceful property is the perfect home base.

The space is clean and simple, with all the little comforts you might need for a relaxing getaway. Nestled on 10 acres, this property offers plenty of room to spread-out and enjoy the peaceful mountain views. Kickback for a view of the stars at night, or enjoy a family picnic among the trees. Our guests look forward a spectacular sunset every evening, with distant views all the way to the CA Central Valley. What’s nearby:

• Trailhead: Road’s End (end of the scenic byway)
• Distance: ~9.6 miles round trip
• Elevation Gain: ~800 ft
• Time: 3 1/2 hours depending on pace
• Trail follows the South Fork of the Kings River the entire way
This trail is mostly gradual and perfect for soaking in canyon views before reaching the powerful Mist Falls at the end. With the recent snowmelt, the falls are absolutely roaring right now, definitely worth the hike!

Very clean and nice place. The location was great for being close to the National Parks. We had booked for 3 nights but found a scorpion in the home, which totally freaked me out. I wasn't able to sleep due to finding it and decided to leave 2 nights early. Where we live, we don't have them, so it might be a very normal thing, but not something I could personally deal with. The home was well stocked, and communication with Peggy was prompt.

we loved this place!! there was so much extra room and many extra beds. there’s a view of the mountain and a bbq, the perfect way to end a long day of hiking ◡̈ we already can’t wait to come back!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, well stocked, and has the most gorgeous view (especially at night! The lights from the valley are stunning). Myself and my four adult/high school age kids were able to spread out with plenty of room and comfortable beds. The location worked just great for visiting King's Canyon and Sequoia. Our host, Peggy was attentive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Great host! It was a wonderful place to stay on our visit to Sequoia and King's Canyon National Parks. It was very quiet with an amazing view and gorgeous sunsets over the sea of clouds below. And we loved the wood stove!

We enjoyed our stay at Sundew, immensely! Great place to unwind after visiting the national parks. The sunset view was beautiful, the home had dishes and cookware available to use and other amenities that made our stay a cozy home away from home.

This was a great place to stay--very quiet, roomy, and cozy. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive, we asked for more matches and they brought them immediately! The furnace made the home very cozy and the hosts provided more than enough firewood. Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, as well as the bathroom and living room. We would love to come back and stay here again! Thank you Peggy!

Great little home away from home

This cute cabin was a great little home away from home. Close to the parks and plenty of room. Peggy was a wonderful hostess, very attentive and provided everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Rustic comfort at its best. Definitely recommend!

Relaxing and Peaceful Stay

This was our first VRBO stay, and we would do it again. Check in was easy, the house was very homey and we slept extremely well something that usually does not happen at hotels.

Everyone visiting California should experience the beauty of the National Parks and this location is perfect to experience 2 of them! Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, some guests have even driven 2 hours from here and visited Yosemite! Trileptal! All 3 in one trip and a perfect spot for "home base".

We are close.enough to fill any needs that arise, but give everyone there space and peace and quiet. Contactless check in and we have lots of simple amenities that will make your stay easy peasy and comfortable.
