We enjoyed a cozy Thanksgiving weekend at the cabin. It has a great layout for cooking and relaxing, and the views are gorgeous! We used the wood-burning stove most of the time there.I had read other reviews pointing out that there was a lower level unit and an occasional tenant. I'm very glad I was aware of that because someone came to stay there the last night. I would have been absolutely freaked out if I wasn't aware. Would have appreciated a warning from the owner though.

Cozy cabin with beautiful views! We really enjoyed our stay in Swannanoa. Convenient location to Ashville and surrounding towns. If you come in the winter months it is a very steep hill to climb! Comfortable beds and living area. Would recommend for a couple or small family getaway!

It's as good in person as online!!

My wife and I stayed here with a couple of friends for my birthday weekend, and it was idyllic. The views are incredible and the cabin is nicely appointed with everything you might need. The road to the cabin is a bit steep and narrow, but we made it in a 2wd minivan. :)

It was clean and had a beautiful view! The road up was a little tricky but if you want to be in the mountains then that's what it takes! I would recommend it!

Beautiful and cozy! The cottage was very clean and inviting. The price for my 3 day stay was not bad for what was there to utilize. Everything was as it should be, and I am already planning a second trip in the fall to Swannanoa and will reserve this same place, if available!

Loved our stay

We loved our stay. The only drawback is the drive to the house. Lots of lower income properties affected by hurricane, so a lot of dirt and not so great views. Once at the house, the story is different, beautiful views. The house was clean. Beds were hard but okay to sleep on. Good appliances. Overall great stay

Fantastic!

Felt cozy as soon as we arrived and walked in the door. Everything was clean and welcoming. No fuss entry. We had everything we needed and a few extras...like a tea box! Can't beat the view. It's quiet and private but not all alone on the mountain. We'd go again in a minute!

Mini Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in North Carolina. We are from Michigan and wanted a break from the cold weather and a change in scenery. While we were visiting we disc golfed and golfed. The home was perfect for what we needed. We were a bit confused because the listing says whole house but you either get the top floor or bottom floor. It's two rentals in one. We had no issues though, the other renters were quiet and the neighborhood was peaceful. For those thinking of staying here, I would highly recommend, just know that the drive up the mountain is a bit scary if you are not used to the incline. The home was perfect!

Winter Getaway

Property was exactly as described! Perfect weekend getaway. The road up to the cabin was still well intact after the storm. The surrounding devastation was very apparent but every business we stopped by was so thankful to have customers(tourists) coming back. The cabin itself has a great deck for long range views and the indoor fireplace was perfect for the cold winter nights! Would stay again 10/10

Didn’t get to actually stay

Booked the cabin in advance. Drove 10 hours from IL to NC with my son. Got to the cabin, LONG way up to the cabin, got right in but noticed right away there was no heat or electricity. Long story short, owner called me back said we couldn’t stay, she had emailed me(but I had been driving 10 hours and hadn’t checked my email), a tree had fallen and knocked the electrical box off the house.She said VRBO was to find me another ndic

Home base for hurricane relief

My mom and I traveled to WNC to bring supplies and volunteer with Samaritan's purse. The location of this cabin was perfect - very close to Asheville, Black Mountain, and Old Fort.

Wilderness calls!

Beautifully quiet, dark starry magical skies, birds bring the woods to life at dawn and wildness abounds all around, but weirdly the cabin is just 13 mins from ingles and Starbucks!

Great Place with Awesome View

This place is a gem. If you’re looking to be off to yourself in nature but with amenities of home this is perfect. So convenient to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, Catawba Falls, Black Mountain, and Asheville. The place was clean and tastefully decorated with an amazing view off the back deck. We’d definitely come back!

Long weekend in the mountains

Beautiful secluded cabin a short drive from Asheville and Black Mountain. It was exactly what we hoped for from our weekend away from the city.

Perfect!

We had such a great time - the views are gorgeous, and it was incredibly quiet and cozy. The host offered so many little touches that ensured we were comfortable and had everything we might need. Can’t wait to come back for another visit!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is very pretty and has a great kitchen. We were expecting a private residence based on the listing, but this is a split residence - lower unit and upper unit. We were frustrated that this was not clear in the listing. The first bedroom we went to sleep in had dirty sheets! Thankfully there was another bedroom. We let the host know about the cleanliness issues. There was also an empty coke bottle left on the deck. It’s a beautiful home, but with these issues it felt disappointing with how much it costs to rent.

Mountain View estate

This was a great place for home base when visiting Asheville and surrounding areas. The views were amazing and the neighborhood was quiet. Everything was great and the host was very helpful and responsive to our questions.
