Nestled off of quiet Jones Lane within steps to beautiful Calhoun Square, this charming carriage house is the perfect hideaway in Historic Savannah. Start your stay beneath the majestic oak trees on Calhoun Square, where your feet touch cobblestone and the cicadas make the urban soundscape. Two Lucky guests will have the opportunity to see Savannah like a local - Red Door Hideaway is truly a hidden gem!

After entering through the lane, and making your way up to your hidden oasis, you'll step into a warm, airy and inviting space. Red Door Hideaway has been thoughtfully furnished to ensure guests have everything they need, which includes historic and modern finishes that tie the space together.

The queen size bed is centered in the middle of the room, with a large smart television mounted for your enjoyment at the foot of the bed. Just across, you'll have a quaint kitchenette, equipped with a Keurig, mini-fridge, and microwave; perfect for this cozy carriage house! After a long day of exploring our beautiful city, rinse the day away in the spa-like walk-in shower, and enjoy an evening glass of wine on your private balcony.

Everything you need can be reached on foot. The home is equally distanced between the Historic District’s two most popular focal points, River Street and Forsyth Park, just steps away from Calhoun Square. Grab breakfast at Clary's, a well-known diner in Savannah, or eat lunch with the locals at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House just a few blocks East. You’ll love the proximity to the exciting events at the Civic Center, shopping at City Market, and more.

Perfect stay for 1 or 2 in the Historic Area

Best location to stay in a quiet place where you can walk to almost all the sights to see. Décor was nice, everything was clean. Enjoyed my stay and would come back anytime!

It was amazing! We stayed here for a long weekend. Walking distance to everything from the park to downtown. It was clean, cozy, just right size for two. Neighbors were friendly. The only thing that would have been nice are a couple of water bottles waiting. We landed and had to run out and get some right away. Otherwise— it was great!

All in all, the stay was quite good. The room was clean and seemed to have been recently painted. The only real downside was that there was no television service, only a few streaming services.

Red Door Hideaway

The entrance through the old carriage house and garden is charming. The room, like a studio, is very attractive and comfortable. The location is near the most beautiful sites in Savannah but away from the most commercial. There is a diner just around the corner and several decent coffee houses a short walk away. We were very happy there.

Great weekend!

My husband and I stayed here for a last minute 4th of July long weekend trip. Upon arriving we thought the property was so cute & we felt safe, as there was a gate with a code needed for entry. The place smelled great and was very clean, just as pictured. While there wasn’t parking, this was never a problem - so much street parking available and very reasonable meter prices ($1/hr M-F 8-5). This was also a great location, quick walk to parks and do-able walk to downtown. We also loved that the renters left a binder with restaurants/bar recs. Overall we had a great stay & would definitely look to stay here if we ever go back!

Cousin getaway.

Wonderful place, perfect for what we were looking for. Better than expected. Close to everything. Thank you for being great hosts. Would come back again, and probably will with my husband. Sorry I forgot to reply to the text for checking out, it was raining hard and I just spaced it. We left around 9:30.

A short sojourn to Savannah

I stayed in this darling studio whilst visiting my daughter who goes to school there. The place was exactly as it was advertised and I loved it and would choose it again. The only thing that was an issue for me is that the wall unit air conditioner is situated where it blew air on my face all night. That might not bug everyone though. Even with that, I would choose it again.

Cute & Convenient

Loved the place. Great interiors! Newly redone. Location was great, walking distance to everything! We really enjoyed our stay. A couple of things, minor but worth mentioning. Freezer in the mini fridge was frozen, as mentioned in other posts. I contacted Lucky Savannah and they worked it out quickly for us. Also, instructions would have been appreciated. It got cold while we were there and there were no instructions for the heater. We figured it out and it worked great but info would have been appreciated! It's a great little studio apartment! For the 2 of us it was perfect! Thanks again!

And yes, this property is bright, very clean, nicely updated and a fabulous location. I was in Savannah visiting my daughter for a week. I really wanted to give a 5 star rating. The only aspect of my stay that was disappointing is the state of the mattress. The pillows were great, with a variety of thicknesses offered, but the mattress appeared well used and made it challenging for me to feel rested and rejuvenated in the mornings. And since the main purpose of the property is for sleeping, (not for entertaining), I would have loved a supportive and comfortable mattress. That's why I've rated the property at 3 stars. If the mattress is not important to you, you will love it here. Walking in Forsythe Park is an easy,fun & nearby activity. two excellent restaurants...for dinner The Grey!! Can't recommend it enough. And for lunch, Bull St Taco, for fresh & delicious Tex-Mex.

Clary’s Cafe was right down the alley making for a nice way to begin our mornings. The bed is very firm so if soft is your thing, look elsewhere. The fridge has a freezer issue that was discussed in another review. Probably time to replace. A coffee maker is present, not a Keurig as described. One packet of coffee was complimentary and we wished enough was given for each day of our stay. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion and small soap was there. The television is NOT connected to cable and no instructions are left on how to add your provider. Typical online providers through wifi are available like Netflix and YouTube. We would stay here again. The rental office is a few blocks away and will store your luggage if you get to town early. This was helpful and the staff was warm and welcoming!

Disappointment

No tv unless you having streaming, freezer frozen over, water shut off without any notice had to go out with full head of shampoo. Never notified when back on. Hard to get a hold of help. Still waiting for some kind of credit been a week. It’s a cute place , we just had issues.
