Take it easy at this tranquil Texas Hill Country getaway. 130 acres never felt so big ! Hike for days... Explore the mile long creek. Search for arrow heads. Stargaze from the top of a hill, at a 1600 foot elevation. Relax and kick back in the hot tub. The Hot Tub is equipped with infrared lighting, which detoxifies all harmful contaminants. The "Jacuzzi" filtration system is the finest on the market. The Hot Tub is cleaned every time guests check out. There is no need to worry about unclean water. Please .... No Glass in, or around the Hot Tub !!!!!! Everyone who is staying at the property MUST sign a (Hot Tub release of liability waiver), before you arrive for your stay. Visit historic Boerne, just 12 minutes away ! Eat at excellent restaurants. Take a 30 minute drive West to Fredericksburg, and its wineries. Drive 30 minutes East to experience high end shopping at La Cantera Mall, or visit Fiesta Texas theme park. You only live once!
You will be staying in a 100 year old ranch house. It has been renovated with all the comforts of home. The ranch house sleeps 5 comfortably. The house has imperfections, but this is part of the charm. The shower is small, but does the job. An RV on the hill just above the ranch house can accommodate 4 additional guests, and has a shower as well. If you enjoy the outdoors, you are in for a treat. Remember, this is a rustic home on a ranch, you're not in a big city. Bird watchers will find this place to be a SEASONAL paradise !
There is a Samsung smart TV in every room, so you may watch all of your streaming apps....

This is a ranch.... Bring rugged hiking shoes or boots with rubber soles. There are steep hills and rolling pastures. You can get around the property on foot, Only guests 25 or older may rent the property. No parties, or events held here. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HOUSE OR THE RV, NO GUNS and NO PETS Allowed. A "release of liability" waiver must be accepted before arrival. There are dangerous areas on the ranch with cliffs and seasonal water. There are old barb wire fences, rusty nails, spiders, scorpions, occasional snakes, porcupine, mice, coyote, raccoon, bobcat, skunk, hogs, wild turkey, deer and other indigenous wildlife on the ranch. This is typical of any land in the country. It’s possible that you will see some of these animals, they do exist on the property. There are times of the year when the creek is not running, and the pond is low. Apologies, but the weather cannot be controlled. Additionally, THIS IS NOT A SWIMMING PROPERTY. It's a place of relaxation, tranquility, and being with nature.
THERE IS A FEE FOR FIREWOOD USAGE. Firewood is a commodity and costs money. When you book a reservation, please ask me about firewood rates.

I normally like to meet my guests at the ranch when they arrive, to show them around and attend to any needs they may have. Karen and her family arrived at 11 pm, so I was asleep and unable to meet them. Their reservation stated 4 people, so the ranch house was perfect for that size booking. The RV was locked, because it was not needed for a 4 person reservation. Karen showed up with more family members than listed in the booking, and wanted to use the RV as well. The only problem was that it was locked. I was asleep and did not here notifications on my phone, that she was trying to reach me. Once the morning came. I saw her messages and responded immediately with the code for the RV. Karen was angry that her family didn't have enough places to sleep on their first night. This would not have been the case had she listed the correct number of people, when the listing was booked. There are over 50 five star reviews of my property on two different platforms. It's a shame VRBO allows these types of reviews to be posted, when it clearly wasn't the fault of the host.

The cabin and land were exceptional. Took my family for a few days unplugged and this was perfect. The house is cozy and the hot tub is very pleasant after a day of exploring the land. National parks are near by but really do not need to leave property. David is a fabulous host. Family already wants to return.

Very peaceful and quiet location, enjoyed the stay immensely, will be back. Owner was very responsive and helpful. House was stocked with everything needed and hot tub was a nice bonus.

The Perfect Spot

We had a fantastic stay! The house was extremely clean and very comfortable. The property was beautiful with lots of privacy! It was wonderful to be out in the country yet conveniently close to town- and close to so many things to see and do in the area! The hot tub is also pretty relaxing after a long day of exploring. David is a wonderful host- very kind, attentive, and extremely easy to communicate with both before and during your stay! HIGHLY recommend staying here!!

Christmas getaway.

Beautiful area, saw deer every day we were there, which was delightful for us as we are from the Central Valley of California. Accommodations were very nice. Had a few problems because of the cold weather, but David took care of them or told us how too. Would definitely stay there again.

Temperatures in the teens at night caused the RV pipes to freeze up. This is very rare for South Texas. I went to the property on Christmas Eve and was able to fix a water problem with the house and RV. I was there until 8:30 PM. This problem was out of my control, but I was able to fix it. I'm so happy you guys had a great stay, aside from this uncontrollable weather issue.

The property is amazing! Very peaceful, great views, but not too far from Boerne and easy to get to San Antonio. David was a great host! The house is an old ranch house, so it has “character” like any older home, just don’t expect a luxury resort . One bedroom does have to go through another for bathroom access and same with RV. This stay was like having a state park just to ourselves without the camping or cramped cabin!

Great property.

Lovely renovated older home on huge property. Meadow view from home. We hiked to picnic table on hill with a great view at South end of property. Plenty of trails to walk. Hot tub was new and works well. Heed the directions provided and double check Google maps. Short distance to town.

Wonderful Family Time

First, out host was wonderful to greet us and give us a tour. The three kids in our famikyngroup were excited to have such a wide open adventure waiting for them. Our host showed us the pond and well that we would want to keep a close eye on with the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the ranch and hope to return because we just barely scratched the surface. The house is charming. Our group of seven ate our dinner outside each evening and sat around the fire every night. There are fancy TVs in abundance, and even an 80s style video console the kids and adults enjoyed, but the best moments were spent together outside. The linens and towels are the good kind and the kitchen is well stocked including a Keurig and toaster/air fryer and microwave. Absolutely country chic with special touches everywhere. We have stayed in quite a few vacation rentals over the years. This was the closest to feeling like you are staying in your friend's home. You want to take care of the place, not just because it is the right thing to do, but it belongs to your friend and you plan to return. We loved the ranch and the house and hope to return.

Nice getaway ranch property

Very nice little house on a beautiful property. house had everything you need. David was very attentive to any questions we had and also helped in any situation we had. Rv was a nice bonus we didn't use but we checked out and would be great for larger groups. 3 cameras at the front patio area feel a bit strange like your being watched but hopefully just for security when they dont have renters and not in use while there, just saw light turn on and off when we would go out there. location In the woods so There is wildlife as expected some beautiful and some dangerous but exactly what we expected. would rent again thank you!

Peaceful atmosphere

We had a very quiet and peaceful stay at the ranch house, back to nature is what I crave. David was a good host and took my husband and two kids on a tour of the property while I rested after our trip. The house is older, but very clean and comfortable. The beds are so cozy and comfortable, which is what I look forward to most. We spotted some deer while we were there which was exciting and we walked around the property for a while, although the rocky and hilly terrain can be challenging. Our stay of a few days was reenergizing. I wish we could've stayed longer.

Daughters wedding in near by Boerne

This was one of our greatest vacations with our grandchildren. To see their face light up when paw paw plugged in the string lights and all the trees looked like Christmas in March. We pinic up on the mountain top Sunday morning. It was just a great place to relax and enjoy the quite ness of nature. Would. Certainly recommend to others. David is an excellent host.

When renting this property, you will come away with a sense of peace that only the ocean can give you. The quiet is deafening, and the tranquility is astounding.... Friends and family always comment, that they don't want to leave, once they get there.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The land was once inhabited by Kiawa, Comanche and Apache Indians. One can find arrow heads, down by the creek, if you look hard enough. If you find one, it will give you a sense of the history of the land. There is a 100 year old hand dug, 15 foot deep, water well on the property. It's astonishing how whoever dug it, was able to make it so round and symmetrical. If you simply want to stay on the ranch and relax, that's great ! If you want to explore the many boutiques and shops in old historic downtown Boerne, you will not be disappointed.
There are many nice restaurants in Boerne. My personal favorites are Mary’s Tacos and "Cypress Grill". Check them out... If you are lucky and happen to be at the ranch on certain weekends during the month... There is a flea market held in the town square in downtown Boerne. Many different vendors bring their products and sell them ..... Things like welded art, clothes, blankets, dog accessories, jellies, knives, food etc.... Everything they sell is brand new, it's not used.
