New and cozy 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin on Lake Content. Lake Content, which is quieter at 239 acres, connects to premiere 1,671 acre Big St. Germain Lake. Relax on 170' of walkout sandbar, enjoy great swimming and warm up by the outdoor firepit on the shore. The large wrap around deck is the perfect place for morning coffee or an evening cocktail with views of the lake. This home features a 2 car attached garage & custom high-end finishes throughout. Open concept main floor with kitchen/living/dining room and master suite with large walk-in closet and bathroom. An additional half bath & laundry area complete the main level. Head downstairs for 2 additional bedrooms, full bathroom and huge rec room with walkout to the backyard with nearly 3 acres of private wooded land, this home is sure to be your haven in the Northwoods! Close by are the county biking/UTV/snowmobile trails for all season recreational sports.

Snowmobile trip

House was very nice to stay at with friends and our children. Very easy to access snowmobile trails. House was well equipped with kitchen and bath essentials.

Great place

We had a guys snowmobile trip in February. We rented sled right in town and were able to be on the trails in minutes. We had deer come up every morning to eat in the backyard. 10 out of 10 recommende. Look forward to coming back next year.

Lake Content Stay

Amazing views from the deck! House is very clean and well maintained. We had an amazing time and caught tons of fish. The host was very helpful. I would recommend staying here anytime! My family had a great experience!

Great house on small lake

Stayed here right after Christmas through NYE day for a change of scenery. House had a great layout for hanging out with the family. Kitchen was well appointed and everything was very clean. The owner even left us a gift bag including a 6-pack of Spotted Cow, which was a nice touch. It was a short 5 mintue drive into town to get groceries, takeout pizza (go to Spang's), bait etc... It had been pretty warm leading up to the trip so wasn't able to get out ice fishing until the last day. Ended up getting a few flags and landed a couple small northerns right in front of the cabin. Highly recommend this property.

Content on Lake Content

We had a very enjoyable, relaxing week with our family. This is a very lovely home and has wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. View beautiful sunsets from the deck, a spacious kitchen for preparing meals, comfortable seating for movie nights and game nights. Extremely clean and inviting! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Property & House! We Rented a boat & launched it in Big St. Germain & took the channel to Lake Content (which was SUPER easy)!. Jordan was a great host & communicated excellent. I'm sure we will be back - maybe Summer 2025. Thank you again!

Wedding gathering

We chose to stay at this cabin as we were looking for a stunning location to have our wedding ceremony at. Although the weather did not cooperate that day and making the walk down hill in our attire, we couldnt have been more impressed with the home. The overall design, beauty, and cleanliness of the home was top notch. It was very spacious and made for a great gathering point for our families. I would definitely stay here again!

Family loved the Trout cabin, Xmas 2023

Beautiful, elevated views of Lake Content. Check in and check out couldn’t have been easier and the 11:00am checkout time is a major plus. The place was unbelievably clean upon arrival and the 6 pack of spotted cow on the kitchen counter was a very nice touch and much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation

We had a fantastic time at this VRBO. The house was beautiful, spacious and cozy. The weather was great so we spent a lot of time on the lake with our rented kayaks. We really enjoyed that the lake was shallow and sandy by the shore and even past the dock. There were a lot of deer and eagles to watch each day.

Nice stay

Agree with other reviews that overall this is a clean and great place to stay. We loved how peaceful the lake was and the channel to the bigger lake was easy to manage. One thing that was not mentioned by others is the shallow water by the pier and the challenge with docking a boat there. We have a large fishing boat with a deep hull so we had to put an anchor in a few feet away from pier and get in water every time to use the boat. If you have a pontoon boat it would not be a problem. Other then that we loved our stay and would recommend to others.

Best property in St. Germaine

The house was fantastic. It was very clean, updated in every way, close to everything, had a fully stocked kitchen, and had plenty of games for the whole family. Communication with the owner was easy and we had the best time inside the house as well as by the lake and at the fire pit. We have stayed at many properties in the North Woods before but this was our favorite. We want to go back and stay there again. We highly recommend this house for anyone!

Wonderful Property in Great Location

This was a beautiful property and perfect for our needs. We love to snowshoe and cross country ski and the Awassa Trails were so close that we could walk to them. Also right off the snow mobile trails which was another convenience. The town of St. Germain was minutes away providing all our other needs. This clearly was a new property and extremely well-maintained. We would love to go back in the summer and enjoy the sand beach! I highly recommend this home!

Snowmobile Getaway

I have nothing but positive things to say of this VRBO in St. Germain. We were able to park truck/trailers easily and access to the snowmobile trails is right there. The home is super clean and all furnishing/linens are beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped and as a nice touch, the host had left a welcome package. Check in/out was seamless and the host was easily available to answer all questions. I have stayed at manny VRBOs and this ranks as one of the BEST:)

UTV Trip

House is close to town. Beautiful setting and view. Grandson had a great time playing in the lake. House completely furnished with everything. Perfect. Went UTV riding. Close to trail. Will definitely will be back, hopefully for snowmobile trip.

A couple of small things

Outstanding!!! We had a great week of relaxing. Only went out to dinner once because we loved your home so much! A few notes...There was no bread knife to use, no kleenex , not enough tall kitchen bags, not enough waste baskets, and most of all, no nite stand light in the downstairs bedroom. We had to go to Walmart and buy one. this is just for you to consider for future guests. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home!!! Tim, Bev, and Jeff

Perfect Northwoods Experience

This beautiful property exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable all around. The house was well-appointed and we had what we needed. There are great bike and hiking trails nearby, and plenty of restaurants to check out. The only thing to be aware of is access to the lake is a bit steep so older people or people with mobility issues may need extra time and/or help. The lake itself is clean and shallow by the dock. Our kids had a great time swimming and splashing! The owner was responsive and clearly puts a lot of time and energy in maintaining this wonderful property.

Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay on Lake Content! The lake is just the best. It's quiet but also allows for full recreation activities. The access to Big St. Germain is key. The channel from Lake Content to BSG is narrow and best done with spotters on the boat :). The house was set up great for our family. It's in great condition, is very clean and has a lot of conveniences not always found in rental properties. The kitchen was well stocked, the open concept space was great for our gathering, cooking and relaxing times. The deck that overlooks the lake is spacious and allows for sitting/reading and has a table and chairs for meals. The location of the home to town is so great - it's less than 5 minutes to the grocery store and minutes to many different dining spots. The only challenge we had was that the path down to the lake is a little steep - definitely a challenge for less mobile people but doable! We would definitely stay again.

July 2023 stay at Trout’s cabin

Jordan was a superior host. He was extremely attentive and responsive. This new property on Lake Content housed our family nicely for a week in St. Germain. We had 7 people and I especially appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with lots of pots and pans, good knives, glass containers for left overs, salt and pepper, grill spray, baggies, foil, plastic wrap, and utensils. It made cooking on the trip easier than having to make do. The beds were comfortable. Plenary of bath towels and extra blankets if needed. They also provided beach towels, personal care products like shampoo, conditioner and lotions and plenty of blow dryers. We brought many things that we could have left at home! The house has some great cornhole boards as well as a gas and charcoal grill. They also provided laundry detergent and dryer sheets. We rented both a pontoon and jet skis while we were there. The water off the dock is shallow which made it nice for getting off and on the jet skis. The pontoon needed to be away from the dock a bit to use the motor but it wasn’t a big deal once we got the hang of it. As one other reviewer mentioned, the path down to the water is is a gravel path, no stairs. When we were carrying something heavy like the gas cans or weights for the jets skis it was a bit more challenging. If you had any mobility issues, you could have an issue getting to the dock. The only notable thing is the house has beds for 6 ppl, an air mattress and couch are available for more
