Double Book Nightmare - The Horrors of VRBO

This trip was a complete nightmare. The property was double booked upon arrival. We were without a place to stay, and trying to find something was extremely stressful. The host was quick to respond and place the blame on VRBO, but VRBO did not assist in any way. They quickly tried to refund our deposit, but did very little to remedy their tremendous error. Being in town for the Boston Marathon and independence day weekend, it was impossible to find a similar stay. On top of that, VRBO does not do same day stays, so any chance at another home for our group of 8 was impossible. Hotels had no vacancy. We luckily were able to find another hotel a few towns away that was barely able to accommodate us. Such a frustrating experience, and something that was totally outside of my control. The property owner was easy to work with, and quick to communicate after the mistake was found, but no information prior to check in was sent from the host. I received numerous emails saying the property was ready, and my booking was confirmed prior to our trip. not impressed with how our situation was resolved.

Of mixed opinions

Lets just start with this, we believed we were getting a home with a working hot tub and a suana. While the suana was working, the hot tub had zero eater and looked like hadnt been run in years. In addition, the home had a large pest infestation. We literally had ants pouring out of the walls in numerous rooms. Its quirky, but it needs some attention and love.

Dream House Experience

If you are looking for a great place to stay that is comfortable and modern, this is it. The host is available to support any questions and the home is ideally located close to many attractions and Boston College (the purpose of my stay was to move in our student for their first year at college). The house is beautiful and has a pool and jacuzzi with a grill which makes for great family dining and fun. Stay here - you won't regret it!

Fabulous experience

Clean, cozy, cool and luxurious for the summer. The pool is not heated as it says on the listing but this was ok for us in 90 degree summer heat. The stay exceeded expectations. The host was very responsive and my whole family was happy!

A Blissful Retreat with Luxurious Amenities

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for a weekend getaway, and it exceeded all expectations. What a wonderful experience! “ Dream home” is very comfortable, very well supplied property with amazing amenities for our entire family to enjoy, and the icing on the cake was how pleasant Tamara was to work with! It was my daughters wedding weekend, so all my children and their Spouses from all across this country, were able to stay together and enjoy this busy and beautiful weekend together and still be very comfortable! Amazing Property and Owner

We visited for a weekend and had an amazing time! The house was very clean, neat and exceeded our expectations! Too many extras to list them all, but it was a great weekend. The area is very quiet and safe, and it was only 20 minutes to Boston. Tamara was very easy to work with and very responsive. We could not ask for more! Next time we travel to MA we’ll be back!!!!

Clean, Adult & Kid Friendly, Safe neighborhood, Great Location!

Tamara was a great host, quick to respond to questions and even checked in with us to ensure the pool was continuously clean and all was well with the house and amenities. House was clean, spacious, and had plenty of sleeping and sitting space. We all enjoyed having the pool with diving board and pool floats as well as the hot tub! Beds were all super comfortable and multi-bathrooms with showers were great for our family! Location is perfect for those wanting to be near Boston or drive even further for some v tourist spots, but not have to driver farther than 20-30 minutes! My 11,13, and 15 year old kids wanted to give their own review, here it is: We LOVED our own comfy beds and bathrooms with our own space to relax. Internet worked great and massage chairs felt so good after the long days of walking our tourist spots. Pool and hot tub were so fun and the showers were amazing! If back in Boston area, we will return for more time at Tamara’s home for sure!

Perfect for family vacation

Tamara was responsive, kind and welcoming. The home is exceptional with surprises like heated towl racks and a heated toilet seat in the master bathroom! I even enjoyed a massage in the chairs downstairs! The pool does need repairs but the water was clean, the swimming was still very nice and my whole family enjoyed the hot tub. What I might have loved the most was the neighborhood. I felt so safe, it was super quiet and comfortable yet it only took us 20min to get to the Boston Aquarium. It really was perfect for us! We made wonderful family memories, our gratitude to Tamara and her hospitality. 🙏
