Salty Sam's Cozy Downtown Home - Located in the Heart of Seward, Sleeps 4

A queen bed is located in the bedroom with a queen-size sleeper sofa bed in the living room. The sofa bed is top-of-the-line and guests boast it's just as comfortable as a traditional bed. This property does not have a washer and dryer onsite but is conveniently located near a laundromat.

A full kitchen, impressive DVD/VHS collection (sorry no SmartTV here), cozy interior and convenient access are major perks to staying in this property!

Salty Sam's is 3/4 of a mile from the small boat harbor and 2 blocks from Resurrection Bay with a beautiful view of Mt. Marathon. It's a short walking distance to the Alaska Sealife Center, local shops, bars, restaurants, post office, laundromat, and coffee houses. If you forgot something, we’re right across the street from Seward’s local thrift shop, Ukanuzit.

· 2-3 hour scenic drive from Anchorage
· Take Alaska Railroad to/from Seward scenic 4 hour journey
· Only half mile to Cruise ship terminal, perfect for pre or post cruise stay
· Short walk to downtown Seward, Waterfront and Sea Life Center.
· City of Seward provides a free shuttle that runs from the Harbor to Downtown with stops in between. Very convenient so you don’t have to have a car.

As a reminder, the property does not have a washing machine or dryer available for guests, however a public laundromat is located a couple blocks away.

We do encourage guests to refrain from cooking fish inside the home. A public outdoor grilling area is available at the pavilion near the waterfront for your use. for outdoor cooking of your local catch. We do not allow processing of fish on property.

As a free resource, my husband Clay, a local boat captain, and I are here to answer questions or help you book the perfect excursion to explore Seward and the surrounding Kenai Fjords National Park. We offer discounts on many tours.

What a cute home. Very accessible to town walking and nature ventures. Woke up,walked to a cute cafe through town then a wonderful walk along the water on a walk path back to the clean cozy home. Saw cute shops and animals in the water. Very safe and clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Salty Sam’s was a great little cottage. Everything was clean and well maintained. Teens slept on sofa bed and had zero complaints. It was a nice touch to have coffee beans and grinder in the kitchen. Fresh ground coffee was a great way to start the day! You are centrally located to walk pretty much anywhere and the views are spectacular.

We loved our stay at Salty Sam's! The cottage was clean, cozy and just perfect for our family of five (one kiddo in a pack n' play). The location is perfection! We walked to the park, restaurants, shopping and even the post office (to drop off Alaska postcards). The host had great communication, an easy check-in process and provided everything we needed. The cottage even smelled wonderful! Thanks for a great stay in Seward! HIGHLY recommend Salty Sam's for anyone looking for a rental in Alaska!

Such a lovely place for 3 women to stay. Clean, neat and creatively decorated in ocean decor! The large kitchen and quaint bathroom appear recently updated. We also enjoyed sitting on the cute front porch during the evenings. Location was walking distance to the beach and downtown Seward. We would highly recommend this cozy home!

Fantastic Hidden Gem

Salty Sam's Cozy Downtown home is exactly what it says. Do not let the size fool you, as this little home is the perfect size for a couple trying to escape the hustle and bustle. Lots of thoughtful amenities are provided and location couldn't be better.

Perfect two night stay

For travelers on the road without a vehicle this cottage is the one! It's less than a 5 minute walk to a Seward's free shuttle stop in the "historic district" with nice shops, restaurants & a health food store. The shutle makes a big loop along the camping park on the water, then to stops near the cruise ship port, Safeway, etc. A ride gives a good lay of the land Laundry mat was maybe 7 minutes walk. The the kitchen is fully appointed and there's Lots of places to hang stuff!:) Set up nicely so that one can remove rain gear/boots right at the door. The home lives up to it's VRBO discription. Highly Recommended.

Seward in paradise

The communication with the hosts was excellent. The place was very clean. The location was great (you are two short blocks from the water, about a mile from the busy shops downtown, and the neighborhood was quite.) Bottom line, if I came back to Seward I would look into Salty Sam's availability.

We stayed for 2 nights in Seward as part of a 2 week Alaska vacation. Salty Sam’s was perfect. The house is cute and clean. It had everything we needed. The location was great. We were able to walk to most places. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect location for your Seward adventure. Property is perfectly renovated but has a retro vibe. You can walk to a multitude of restaurants and shops downtown. It was a very enjoyable stay. Can highly recommend.

Amazing!

My husband and I spent a few days in Seaward, and all we can say is that we had an amazing time. Kylee and Clay have absolutely done everything right at their cute little cabin! They have everything you could ever need and more. First, they give you a listing of recommended experiences, which helps out a lot. They had wonderful communication The cabin is conveniently located in the heart of Seward. It is probably one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. Simply the best in Seward!

WOW! I am absolutely in love with Salty Sam's! After changing my camping plans and searching for a place to stay I landed on Salty Sam's because of how clean, updated, and beautiful it looked in the pictures as well as the prime location near many restaurants/shops, the harbor, and the train station. This place looks exactly like the photos in person (and with many nice surprises as well) and it is immaculate!! Kylie was also great in providing tons of helpful information about the area and the home leading up to check in which ensured everything was smooth and easy. I had the best stay here and hope to return to this special place. Thank you!!!

Loved our stay!

This spot was perfect, really well-decorated and Super Cute! They took a lot of care to decorate and make things cheerful and homey.
