Alex and her family were excellent guests. They respected the house rules and left the place clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to host guests like them.

Great place

Had a great time. The house was perfect. John was great. Even let us have a late check out. With the rain all weekend the pool table and games were great to have available. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious, clean, has everything you need

Spacious, clean, has everything you need. Bottom floor with pool table and tv/comfy couches (and bathroom !) was a fun place for the teens to hang out. Kitchen was well equipped. AC worked very well.

Dirty Ant Haven

This home is a tri-level. There are 2 bedrooms w/doors & 1 loft above the kitchen where a bed has been placed. The entry level has a living room, kitchen, dining room bedroom & bathroom. The level below provides a primary bedroom with bunk bed & large bathroom. The basement level has a pool table & lounge area with a TV. When we arrived the home I went to open the blinds and windows & had to go through spider & cobwebs to get to all of them...annoying but fine. I took off my shoes when I started toward the kitchen, I stepped on a small rock, again I thought, annoying but fine, until I realized the floor appeared to have not been swept. There was food crumbs all over the living room, kitchen & dining room floors & sand in the bathroom. There were trails of ants going to the kitchen dining room & somewhere under the couch. I found a broom & swept the floor. Then I thought, "it would be nice to watch the sunset on one of the decks", we went outside, the patio furniture was filthy, two of the chairs had holes in them. At this point I reached out to the owner who said his cleaner had told him the home "pristine" and asked me to send pictures. When I did he made up an excuse for the cleaner & said it wasn't an excuse then offered to send someone to clean. I declined the offer, we have a large family that is impossible to corral. I only have 1500 characters but much more to say: more ants, stinky basement, terrible internet & bathroom drain cleaning done by me.

Thank you for leaving a review. Yes , a dirty room is not my standard that’s why I offered to send the cleaner. You were only 4 people , I am not sure if you had extra people but it’s not a large family to coral as you mention for the 2320 sq feet home. I didn’t make any excuse for the cleaner I was very surprised and saddened and since you were going to stay three days I wanted for you to have a better experience. The game room is a lovey room and it’s not in the basement. It has big windows and lot of sunshine. The house is in a forest. Summer time we get spider webs. I am not sure what happened with ants but since you declined for any body to clean the area all I could do is to apologize. I am sure if it was so yucky and disgusting you wouldn’t stay three nights there. I would’ve offered you partial return for the cleaning fee but you brought two dogs and didn’t pay $75 dollars pet fee. I apologize again for the inconvenience but the situation could’ve gotten solved instead of waiting to write an exaggerated review.

Short and sweet

This is a lovely, well cared for home with lots of amenities. A family could stay there for weeks and have a great, fun filled time. We only had a couple days but loved every minute. Our host, John was very responsive and kind.
