Nice & Relaxing

Our stay was clean and quiet. Had the shower door leak like some mentioned. My son was able to orientate the shower head to minimize after the first incident. As others mentioned, bring your own pool / beach towels. Also recommend bringing some extra dish soap and such. Condo is clean and nice. Convenient to the pool It was nice to be able to take the stairs down to the pool level and beach. Would stay here again!

Stay was pretty nice. The unit we stayed in could use some minor work, but overall a good experience. If their had been a fan to use for sleeping that would've been a nice addition.

Quick visit to Pike's Peak

New property and enjoyed the style of the cottage. It is in a convenient driving location to several attractions, restaurants, etc. Great place for a party of three or less.

Perfect Location

Our stay was great. The location and easy access to the beach was exactly what we needed to recharge. The room was missing a few things (towels & pillows) but not enough to ruin our stay.

Perfect little beach getaway!

Clean, close to beach, great pool, and convenient location - definitely will stay again! Just remember to BYO beach towels - the building formerly provided them but now do not!

Great location

We stayed here during a girls trip with kids to get away before school starts. The unit isn’t over the top with extra bells and whistles but it was comfortable and met our needs. Cold ac, comfortable beds, easy and early check in, we will likely stay here again.

I love staying at the Galvestonian, and this unit was beautiful! Everything was renovated, the amenities were fantastic, and the location is very close to town despite having the private beach feel.

Absolutely wonderful place

I recommended this stay ……the beach and condo were beautiful. I will definitely be back. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The parking was easy and there were no crowds, it was extremely comfortable. I would recommend going anytime outside of summer if you like it quiet and all of the amenities available. Great place to destress.

Weekend Getaway

Planned a spring Break weekend getaway for the family. Place was very pleasant and clean. Electrical outlets may need updating. Some did not work and others were sketchy. Super glad we brought our own pool towels because we needed them and the room did not have any. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Pool and hot tub were fantastic.

Room for improvement

Positives: The Galvestonian itself was a nice property w/ friendly staff, and clean and kept grounds. Positive overall impression in this regard. Quieter end of the beach in a nicer Beach Town community. Pool was heated. Hot tub was great ... although it wasn't heating one day while we were there. Both showers were nice, as was the kitchen. The unit had everything we needed. Negatives: Unit wasn't cleaned when we arrived. We walked in to the unit after check in and found it untouched as the previous guest had left it. Towels on floor, not cleaned at all. Cleaning crew was dispatched from an off-site location and eventually arrived around an hour later to begin the "make ready". So we werent able to access our room at check-in time. No washer/dryer in the unit nor on property. Just an FYI. If you have laundry and are staying in this unit, you'll need to find a laundromat. Sleep sofa in the living room is lumpy and uncomfortable. Master bed in rough shape ... squeaky, sinks at the sides, sits high in the middle. Master bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Master bathroom sink is clogged. Master bedroom light and fan have shared wiring or a switch issue and remain on or off together. We just removed the bulbs during our stay to keep the fan on and used lamps to light the room when needed. Trash found behind the bed in the second bedroom. In short - the unit needs a lot of TLC and doesn't match the standard of the property itself.

Perfect beach vacation!

Fantastic! Zero complaints, except a little hang up during check in, where our key wasn’t programmed correctly, and we had to wait on maintenance to let us in. Otherwise a perfect beach vacation! Loved it, and will return.

Quiet, charming, gorgeous view

This rental had everything we needed and hoped for, and the view from most of the condo was of the ocean and the tops of palm trees. It overlooks the pool from the second floor and had lots of fun things to do (heated pool and hot tub, games, boogie boards, beach chairs, buckets). The beach is a short walk from the pool deck and the beach seems set apart from the typical beach traffic. It was very clean and lovely, and the whole set up was great. I would stay in this rental again.

Weekend stay.

This was a nice place to stay on the beach at the Galvestonian. Make sure you bring your own beach towels and a blanket because there is nothing extra in this place. We had an issue with no towles for bathing in one bathroom. Galvestonian will not provide any help there. Luck that this place has another condo and it had a couple extra towels so we could have a shower the two nights we were there. Place was a little dusty but over all clean enough for us.

A Wonderful Family vacation

We had a great time, the location is excellent. The pool and beach were great except the pool had to be closed for 2 1/2 days of our stay which was a bummer. The unit was clean and well-equipped, we appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards. However some of the furniture needs updating and the pullout couch bed was worthless, we ended up buying an air mattress instead. We were also disappointed that the listing says we can use the laundry room but we were not allowed, it's for "owners only" which necessitated a trip to a local laundromat. Not how I wanted to spend the afternoon on my vacation, please update the listing to be accurate.

Quiet beach rental

Condo was as advertised. Be sure to bring extra towels. The shower in the guest bathroom leaks. They did send someone to try and fix the problem quickly. He was unable to fix the leak because it just leaks from the side of the shower door. We had to use all of our towels to mop up the water all over the floor so we had nothing to dry off with after we shower. You are allowed one towel and one wash rag per person. Not fun to go to the beach and not have a towel to shower with. Would probably not rent here again.

Galvestonian always lovely but condo not up to par

We have stayed many times at the Galvestonian both through the Galvestonian and on VRBO. This unit is managed by Ryson Rentals. We arrived Sunday afternoon and after taking a shower noticed a significant leak that had water all over the guest bathroom. I called Ryson and asked for additional bath mats. I spoke to someone again on Monday and Tuesday, but the mats did not arrive until midday Wednesday. Also, this unit was poorly equipped. For example, no pool towels, no Kleenex, only 1 kitchen trash bag, 1 kitchen towel, no blankets, poor knives, rather shabby furniture, broken glass and cigar butts on balcony. This might seem like nitpicking, and I am willing to do things myself if I have the proper items, (I cleaned up the patio glass and stuffed towels around the shower) but all the 2 bedroom/2 bath condos are $300 plus per night. That being the case, why not stay in one that provides things as basic as pool towels, extra floor mats and a knife that will cut an apple? In short, we will stay at the Galvestonian again, but not in this unit and not with Ryson.

Great property

Clean, nice view, refrigerator was cold when we got there, comfortable bed and sofas, including recliner sofa, but had to ask for a change of towels. Also had to get garbage bags from resort, which is managed by another company.

Great Location and comfortable stay

The property is at the beach with great views from the condo. It has a swimming pool that is an added advantage. The condo itself was clean and functional. A pleasant stay with family with kids. Would highly recommend !!
