Hopkins Scandinavian Simplicity house with double sided fireplace

Nestled between downtown Hopkins and Methodist Hospital; a 1938 bungalow was a flipped into a gorgeous Scandinavian home. Featuring a double sided gas fireplace at the center of the home, shiplap galore, heated bathroom floors, floor to ceiling windows facing south, built in closets, and vaulted kitchen ceilings.

The home also includes garage parking, a fire pit, and a grill. Raised garden beds will boast a kitchen garden with veggies and herbs to share. The home is close to biking and walking trails, and downtown Minneapolis is only a 15 minute drive.

In the winter enjoy outdoor hockey and iceskating (One block away). In the summer, two parks are within close walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay in The Hopkins house. The area is very nice. It was very convenient for our visit. The hosts are very nice and easy to work with. We borrowed bikes from our host and enjoyed riding around the area.

Inviting Accommodations

Very much enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The accommodations were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with necessary items and the heating system kept us warm during an unprecedented cold snap! Very glad to also have the use of a heated garage.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience!

This is an exceptionally wonderful home. It is tranquil, in a great neighborhood, and within close proximity to lakes, walking trails, shops, and restaurants. The added bonus was the lovely garden that produced delicious tomatoes, zucchini and green beans! The hosts were wonderful, and were easily accessible. We enjoyed meeting them! We will be back!

Wonderful!

My husband and I stayed at the property approximately five weeks. It was wonderful to have a gas stove. The house is very clean, beautifully appointed, decorated and functional. It is perfect for short or long stays. The neighborhood is lovely with beautiful surroundings for long walks. The location is perfect with easy driving distances to Saint Paul, Edina, Minneapolis. Laura and David are very responsive to questions etc. we will definitely stay again.

Homey feel

Stayed for just under 3 weeks to visit the grandkid. Clean, well organized- only 2 of us but felt spacious. In a neighborhood, so you will have families and kids and buses and such but we enjoyed that. A few small hiccups with stuff (appliances/ TV) that we couldn't get to work but that was mostly us not knowing how to work them and responsiveness from the owners when we had questions was great. Try the tomatoes growing in the garden... they were amazing.

Adorable and Perfect Hopkins Home

I stayed here for 5 weeks while exploring the Minneapolis St.Paul area. This place is perfect in every way! I love the area and this house! Hopkins itself has so many adorable shops and delicious restaurants. It’s close to several bike trails that make it safe and easy to get around to other towns and downtown without needing a car. I would highly recommend this location if you want all the conveniences of the big city but want to also explore the surrounding areas. Laura and David are amazing hosts! They made sure I was comfortable and addressed any need I had during my stay. The home is super clean, designed with great taste, excellent flow and efficiency. They communicate well, provide many amenities, and are super nice and enjoyable! I would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend their home!

Very nice remodeled Bungalow

We totally enjoyed our stay. All the ammenities we needed and more were there for us. The home was very comfortable especially with everything being new. Plus the owners were very nice and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay!

Hopkins is such a great location! Downtown Hopkins is only a mile away, and there are fantastic restaurants and shops. Edina is a block away, with 50th and France only 3 miles from the house. Downtown Minneapolis is a short 15 minute drive.
