Much needed beach time

Short walk to a non crowded beach. Excellent view of the gulf. Every day was sunny with a nice breeze. Able to unwind with some much needed beach time.

Beautiful View!

Great location, stunning views. We enjoyed our stay but the weather was chilly. The property was comfortable. Beds very comfortable.

Wonderful ocean front house.

This is a very nice little house right on the water with a great walk out. St. George Island is a very slow-paced relaxing place.

Views from every room!

We loved staying at Rise and Shine! It was perfect for my husband and I and our dogs. There are 2 bedrooms if you have a larger group. The views are priceless and are seen from every corner of this home! We also loved the ease of the private boardwalk to the beach. The house is on a quiet spot of the beach centered between 2 public access points. We are ready to book this home again!

Wonderfully relaxing!

Rise & Shine was just perfect for the two of us. The home and proximity to near by restaurants was perfect. The view, the beach, and deck fantastic. Bike trail to east end State Park much appreciated. The State Park is the most beautiful Florida State Park we’ve ever seen!

Excellent home on beach. Both bedrooms are ocean front.

Loved this place. Shared bathroom upstairs and another full bath with stacked washer/dryer downstairs. Large deck overlooking ocean with plenty of seating. Bring an umbrella (you'll need it). Stargazing at night is amazing. Plenty of living room seating. Table and 4 chairs for dining. Blocks from island center, restaurants, shopping. 3.5m bike ride to lovely state park at end of island. All island beaches, except beaches in state park (wildlife sanctuary), are dog-friendly. This is doggie beach paradise. Great beach combing for shells. Sunrise and sunset over the gulf side from this home! How is that possible?!

Enjoyed our stay at Rise N Shine

Rise N Shine housed our family of 5 -- (2) adults and (3) children (4, 2, newborn). We would stay here again. First and foremost, you can't beat the location and the view is incredible from each room in the house. We enjoyed the front porch and Adirondack chairs with the whole family. It's seamless to get to the beach via the boardwalk and avoids sand spurs! There was a shower / foot wash at the end of the boardwalk to remove excess sand which was convenient (although I wish there was a hose connection to it). The furniture was comfortable/functional and the kitchen provided most essential items for cooking meals. Check-in / check-out was simple and the property manager was communicative. The bedrooms were spacious and we easily fit a pack n' play in the master next to our king bed. Two things for families to take note of: 1) the guest room has a king bed which makes it challenging to sleep two toddlers together 2) there is no bathtub in either bathroom -- both of these we knew upon booking but an FYI. The main negative from our trip was the smell of smoke upon entering the property which caused us to rate the cleanliness lower. The rest of the property was spotless. We notified the property manager who has been in communication with my wife - we purchased a candle to mask the smell and eventually got used to it but caused us to wash every item we brought when we got back home. All in all, it was a great trip, we enjoyed the property & would be one we rebook in the future.

Exceeded All Expectations

This is just a wonderful beach house. The location is outstanding, right on a quiet stretch of beach. The house itself was well decorated, very clean, and had everything we could need. I could have prepared dinner for a large group in that kitchen (but I didn’t because we were on vacation!) All the appliances, including the washer and dryer, were of good quality. The beds were very comfortable. The living room furniture was most comfortable, too. We were there for two weeks and it was easy to keep clean, even with us coming in from the beach with a dog. It was exactly what I had hoped for. We had a great, relaxing time. I had one interaction with the property manager. The first night when we couldn’t log on to the wifi and after traveling all that day, I was pretty grumpy and left a message for her. Early the next morning, a Sunday, she called right back and quickly resolved our problem. We had no other issues during our stay but I felt confident that she would have taken care of anything had we needed her.
