Lovely view
This is a charming house in a residential neighborhood with a lovely view over the desert. Desert Hot Springs itself is not a particularly unique or interesting destination, but this is a good base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park and the Palm Springs area.
The house was the cleanest VRBO we've experienced (with one small exception that we raised with Shayda, who was very apologetic). Good utensils/pots&pans in the kitchen so we were able to cook several meals easily. The bed was comfortable and the water super hot. We enjoyed sitting on the patio or by the fire pit watching the mountains and desert below.
Our only disappointment was the pool. The photos are deceptive as one third of the length is only about eight inches deep. This is not a pool for swimming laps - rather a splash pool or soaking tub if you pay extra for heating the water.
