The space
This spacious 1500 sq feet apartment has a lot of light and space to comfortably accommodate 6 people + 1 child.
Parking is fixed and is included in the rate. It has an outside balcony overlooking Heritage Park.
It also has free Wi-Fi, 3 cable TVs, 24-hour security surveillance, air conditioning, washing machine, clothes dryer, multiple closets and all necessary appliances (even a wine cellar and dishwasher). It also includes sheets and towels.
The Ocean Reserve Condominium, cataloged as one of the best condos in the north of Miami Beach, has everything you need to spend an unforgettable vacation. A large pool with lounge chairs and gazebos, allows you to enjoy to the fullest.

The condo is large and in a great location. The unit needs to be better maintained. There are issues with the front door lock, the balcony door lock does not work, one shower had a wrench as the handle because the handle had broken off and other more. Some of these problems have been mentioned on previous reviews so it’s surprising the manager or owner hasn’t fixed them. The parking stall is also a far walk from the unit and is all the way on the top floor of the parkade which is not convenient. The pool is nice but the heater did not work while we were there which is not the owner’s fault but it speaks to the age of the property.

Unexpected maintenance issues

When we checked in and got to the unit there was a piece of paper stating that one of the showers hardware was lose and that they are working to get it fixed, I was not made aware previous to booking. The slider in the living room does not have a lock, this did not give us peace of mind during our weeklong stay. We had maintenance from the building come to our door multiple times to “fix a leak that’s connected to the unit next door over”. We had to let them in 3 separate times to do so, then we received a message from the owner stating someone will be over to take pictures of what maintenance has done. 30 minutes later someone shows up after being ready to head out to the beach but waiting for them to come inspect the work so our belongings weren’t in the home with a stranger. The unit has almost no forks making it hard to eat a meal and not have to do the dishes right after. Inconvenient to say the least.

Amazing place

My wife, 3 daughters, and I just stayed at this condo for 7 nights and it was perfect. The place had space for all of us and we were very comfortable. Alejandro made sure we felt welcomed and if you need him he will get back to you right away. Thank you and we would stay here again.

Convinced location

Plenty of room for the family. Nice pool. Easy accesss to the pool and the beach. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Perfect family getaway

We had a good time celebrating my son engagement during the holiday season. Thé appartement was spacious and clean in a building with many commodities ( little café, groceries, hair dresser, pool, training room…). Only four minutes from the beach. I definitely recommend this place for a family vacation

Excellent Location! Clean!!!

We had a great stay. Although there are some small things that could be improved, the condo was really clean, had what we needed, and was in the most perfect location! The property owner was easy to get a hold of for any questions we had.

Excellent location, nice amenities

Location is great - can walk to beach. Beds were comfortable enough and decent sized rooms. Responsive, friendly, accommodating hosts Drawbacks surrounded building maintenance: - they're working to repaint the building so they have the window cleaning type ropes hooked up from roof to the ground. It was windy and they'd constantly bang off the building sounding like someone was knocking / lightly hammering away on the wall. - leaking HVAC vent with water spilling onto floor was a slip hazard for 48 hours, (believed to now be fixed!) - 1 couch/chair cushion was hanging on by a prayer

Don’t Bother

Stay somewhere else. Anywhere. Booked for a girls getaway. Front desk staff excellent-no complaints. The condo itself, main area is bright and spacious. That’s. It. Water pressure in one bathroom absolutely dismal. A trickle at best. Shoddy workmanship in bathrooms, could barely slide shower door. 5 Towels. 2 Hand towels. No washcloths. No window in one bedroom- is that legal? Coffee maker is the tiny little one found in a hotel room, fridge water and ice maker didn’t work. Horrible smell as you walk in the door. Every. Time. We bought air fresheners but it didn’t help. Balcony was closed. I asked if it would be open by our arrival. He said “it should be” I unfortunately took that as a yes but clearly it was a non answer so he can’t yell at me in a response to this review. Just the facts. He asked me for a screenshot of his response and I will send. The Publix was good but very few restaurants close by. Do not go across the street to the Marco Polo beach cafe. However, the beach was fantastic. The pool was ok except for people letting their kids run all over the place. You have to wear a wristband which is archaic.

We could not get into our apartment reservation because the main building front desk didn’t receive our reservation from property owner. Due to the hosts lack of care and attention towards their property and our stay, we were delayed access into the property by over 2 hours without anywhere to park our car in the meanwhile. Contacting the host to solve this issue was also not smooth as the host had not listed or given us any easy contact information. Also, we had to pay an additional fees for parking at the property which was not noted anywhere on the initial listing. Overall the entire experience was very stressful and unprofessional as during this check in period we were unsure if we would even have a place to stay during our trip.”

Family vacation

The place was roomy n nice except the balcony was closed due to construction the host didn't inform me knowing l was coming from NJ. The beachfront was 2 blocks away Parking was in a garage 2 blocks away lm a senior too much walking. Also the host did not want to communicate on the phone just text me. Facade renovation

Have been noticed about the renovation project of the building facade in advanced. It was frustrating that they have put blue plastic on the windows so no day light comes into the apartment.

Spacious

The rental had plenty of room. The rental is updated and clean. The kitchen is great. The sheets were clean, too! Just a few drawbacks, first the patio was unavailable, due to exterior maintenance, I wish this had been communicated at some point before arrival, I was looking forward to reading on the balcony with sunshine hitting my face. But totally understandable the necessity of the building maintenance. Last one shower was leaking broken/we communicated with owner and then we building maintenance reached out to us to see when they could start repairing. Again life happens in rental units. The only thing that needs some serious attention is the mold/mildew on the shower floors. It was a huge deterrent. Above all. Overall some great bones may just need a checkup with their bathrooms. I think it would be a great place for families.

Short stay

We stayed 3 nights. It seemed very safe. The place was exactly as described. No surprises. The shower was broke in the one bathroom. We were told before we arrived. The manager kept us informed and even bought us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. It was a bit of an inconvenience since we had 6 adults staying in the place but things happen and we understood the situation. We managed perfectly fine. I would definitely stay again.

Average unit, but nice location

Property was basic and functional. Check-in process was chaotic with a crowded lobby and an HOA check-in fee that provided no benefit to the renter - it's clearly just a way to collect fees. Balcony in unit was unavailable due to construction; a fact we felt was not well disclosed to us upon selecting the unit (it is now included in the listing, but we don't know if it was there at the time we booked - and it is buried very deep in the information). The main shower handle did not work, and couldn't be repaired during our visit despite the responsive efforts of the owner. Luckily there's a second shower. However, loose plumbing fixtures were noted by previous renters and these were still an issue for us. The handle was broken when we checked in - it should have been noted and repaired before we arrived. Otherwise, the building is functional and the unit was clean. Parking was very far from the unit and uncovered. Beach access was nearby.

Weekend before cruise

Overall the condo was as described. Beds were very firm and living room furniture was comfortable. There's plenty of pots and pans and coffee cups and dishes but could certainly be some more silverware and glasses. (I know it's difficult to keep track in a rental) Could certainly have been cleaner but didn't feel like we need to wear shoes in the house. The showers both need a really deep cleaning. There's a distinct smell of dogs on the hallway when you are getting to the condo from the neighbors. The ventilation system also needs a deep cleaning as there is lots of dust and what appears to be mold on the vent facing the dining room. The pool was beautiful and warm and a nice short and safe walk to the beach was amazing. There's a great pizza place (Bianco) in the basement of Marco Polo, one of the beachfront condos accrosd the street that we highly recommend.

Getaway in sunny isle

Comfortable

Stayed prior to our cruise the apartment was clean and comfortably fit all 3 couples with no problem. Quick 5 minutes to the beach, grocery store down the road. Really nice stay. Alejandro was super responsive and helpful from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Decent, close to beach

The location is great, easy walk to the beach. Check in was easy. Community pool is nice. The condo itself is ok and needs some updates. Fixtures are loose, there no extras. We had to go buy a cooking pan and knife because the provided ones were terrible. Also had to purchase wash clothes and hand towels because only two of each were provided. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable.

Great location

The property was great, close proximity to the beach - about a 5 min walk. The beach chairs, umbrella and water equipment were a bonus. More than enough seating and chairs at the pool. Fitness center was clutch. Check-in process was simple and efficient. Parking included in the price was great. We traveled with an infant and 4 adults, plenty of space. Plenty of kitchen amenities. The hardware on the cabinets, drawers, and faucets were very loose but it didn't affect the stay at all. Would highly recommend. Would definitely stay again. About 30 min from FLL
