Adorable Float house in Bayview ID. Studio type with 2 full futon beds in common areas separated by 1 bathroom each with their own smart TV. Right on the water with gorgeous views of Lake Pend Oreille and surrounding mountains. Head to Farragut State Park to Hike, mountain bike or take on the Tree to Tree adventure Park (zip lines and obstacle courses) or even frisbee golf all 3 minutes away. Enjoy roller coaster ride thrills or Boulder Beach water park at Silverwood Amusement Park only 10 minutes away. If you just want to chill you can sip coffee or a yummy beverage right out the back door!! Bayview Mercantile just a walk up the dock for groceries and several restaurants in the area that will have live music (seasonal) just walking distance. Taverna (Italian Restaurant), The Dock Bar and Grill,, Captains Wheel just to name a few! Ralph’s cafe for ice cream, coffee, breakfast and lunch with a laundromat next door just in case!

Cutest little place

This was a great place on the water. Steps from where we had dinner that night. It was so cute. Very well done. Just perfect for the 4 of us. It was a very fun stay.

This was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend on the water! Convenient dining options nearby, cozy sitting areas to chat with friends inside, and a fun dock on the back of the house to sit in the sun!

Lake Life

Accessing this hidden gem was a little challenging, but we found our way to this cozy and perfect little house on the lake. I’d recommend screenshotting the email as cell service (AT&T) wouldn’t let me pull up the email with the instructions. The cabin was perfect for my wife and I. We brought our paddle boards and enjoyed sunsets and sunrises on the water. Dining options are walking distance and easy to get to. A quick drive (2 minutes away) to Farragut State Park gave us additional hiking and swimming opportunities.

Great family vacation!

We (hubby, myself, 12 year old and 14 year old ) stayed for 5 nights and explored Silverwood and surrounding areas. The houseboat was a perfect “home base” for our week in Idaho. The location is central and close to a ton of fun stuff. She had everything we could have needed or wanted and we absolutely loved it there. We will be back! Thank you!

Amazing location and cabin

The cabin was so cozy and inviting. It literally had more amenities than any home we have ever rented before. The lake is amazing and all the restaurants are within walking distance. My only suggestion would be to have dice or cards in the house.

First of all, I want to commend Mel (the owner) on the profession she has chosen. Second, I want to thank her for sharing her little piece of paradise with us! She responded quickly to our questions & the cabin had everything we needed. I had tears in my eyes as we walked away.

Wonderful winter stay in Bayview

This is a really cool property good location walking distance to the restaurants and the mercantile (PS. the new restaurant Taverna is off the chart delishus) Everything works great heaters, fridge, Tv's etc. Walking down the bridge is a little sketchy as the lake is low (no fault of the float home just be careful) Plenty of room inside. our daughter and granddaughters came over a couple of nights and we played games at the dining room table. We will definitely rent this one again. Thanks for having us.

Such an amazing trip!

We had such an amazing trip here! We absolutely fell in love with the property its so cozy and waking up to that view never gets old! Everything was clean, and super easy instructions for everything. I get spooked pretty easy but the entire marina is behind a locked gate and everyone was so friendly I felt incredibly safe the whole time! Will absolutely be coming back soon! and for anyone who is going to be staying here, make sure to check out the bar that's walking distance from the house the drinks and food are amazing! :)

Delightful Bayview Stay

I so enjoyed my days at Mel's place in Bayview! The location on E Dock is perfect; easy access to my boat slipped right outside the front door... swimming right off the back porch... and much more private than most of the float homes. The interior was both functional and classy with lake decor and local history. A very well-equipped kitchen! Whenever I needed something, there it was! All the neighbors were super friendly, but also respectful of my privacy... it was hard to leave when the last day came. :) I will certainly return, and count myself fortunate to again be in Mel's place. Thanks for a wonderful spot to spend my 67th birthday, an ideal setting for a boating nut like me.

Excellent Experience

The cabin was very clean - very comfortable & in a safe - quiet-peacefull location. The kitchen was WELL equipped with all necessary items to prepare a meal .My first experience staying in a float house - it was awesome. It was a stay I will never forget & and will definitely do again. Will definitely stay again.

Anniversary getaway

Love love love! Super cute cabin. Had everything we needed :) , neighbor was super friendly, and everyone within the community of floating houses were very kind. Quiet community which was nice, after a day of boating. If renting in late summer months I would highly recommend bring an extra fan. Evenings cooled down perfectly with the windows opened.
