What a great place to stay - and its within a 10 minute walk to "downtown" Grassau. And its a perfect place for exploring the area. This definitely would be my first pick as a place to stay the next time I'm in the area. The place is a typical Bavarian farmhouse converted to modern apartments with classic Bavarian furniture. Best part was our balcony - we had our breakfast and dinner there almost every day with beautiful view of the farm and Grassau and the mountains. A couple of conveniences - there is a well stocked fridge downstairs with drinks, butter etc. Also (great) home-made jams, all on the honour system - you write down what you have taken and it gets added to your final bill. You can also write down an order for brotchen for tomorrows breakfast which will be delivered in a bag hanging on your doorhandle at about 7am. Nothing better for breakfast than fresh brotchen! In our apartment the 2nd bedroom was upstairs with two single beds and its own bathroom. The owners seemed to indicate those beds would be best for kids - they are a bit narrower than we might be used to in North America but I had no problem sleeping in one of the beds. This place would be perfect for a family with two kids and great value (as it also was for us - 2 adult cousins). It is a small working farm (5 cows) and also ducks, chickens, and cats you often see in the farmyard/garden which adds to the charm and would be great for kids. I would highly recommend this vrbo!
