The condo is great and just as described. The amenities and communication with the property manager were excellent. The location is great and both the pool and beach were a lot of fun. There is a boardwalk in front of the property which is nice for walks or visiting neighboring beaches. Snorkeling right out our front door was an awesome highlight. We tried several beaches for snorkeling but none were as good as at Honua Kai.

Great location and stay. The facilities and amenities were exactly as described. The host was fantastic and communicated frequently. Easy check in/out and great access to parking, elevators, and easy distance to pool, beach, and Dukes. Would highly recommend!

It was amazing. This place was just off the beach with great views of the ocean and mountain. The kitchen was well stocked. It was ALL well beyond our expectations and the area had easy acess to local amenities and attractions.

Perfect Maui Stay for Our Family!

We had a fantastic stay! The unit was exactly as described. Spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. The view from the lanai was absolutely stunning and made every morning coffee and evening sunset feel like a dream.The layout was perfect for our family of four. The two large bedrooms with comfortable beds gave everyone plenty of space and privacy, and the full kitchen and in-unit laundry made a big difference for a longer stay. The beach chairs, cooler, and other beach gear were a thoughtful and appreciated bonus!We loved the Honua Kai Resort. The pools, the the beach, and the convenience of Duke’s. It’s also a great home base for exploring all of Maui.The hosts were communicative, professional, and made check-in and checkout smooth and easy.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, home away from home in Maui.

Amazing place to vacation

We have been coming to this resort for years but this was the first time I used Vrbo. It was a great experience. The condo was clean beautiful and had everything we needed. The partial ocean view was amazing and I really liked the view of the mountains as well.

The property is exactly as described as it is a well maintained and perfectly furnished. The balcony has a wonderful view of the mountains and you still have a descent view of the beach. The condo has all the amenities you need with a large bathroom and plenty of space in the bedrooms. The property itself is a well kept location with numerous pools and locations to sit, and is across the boardwalk from the beach. Also, you are close to a grocery store, numerous restaurants and a great food truck lot that we ate dinner in twice. The property owner communication was constant and quick, and could not ask for any better service. Also a huge thing for the property as a whole is the towel vending machines which are a huge hit for everyone there and was probably my my most favorite amenity at the property. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my visit and 100% will book here again for my next visit to Maui.

Nice for Limited Mobility!

First, the property manager and owner were VERY helpful giving details about accessibility and additional information about the easiest place to enter for snorkeling. The unit was not far from the elevator and had tile flooring at the entrance, which was great for parking my scooter without soiling the carpet. We could scoot down the boardwalk a short distance to the beach and reef and snorkeled 4 of the 6 days we were there, so it was SUPER EASY! We even saw a sea turtle 2 days in a row! OF NOTE: I can walk short distances, but the property may not be ideal if you truly cannot walk.The unit itself was very nice with a great view of the mountains (and a welcoming rainbow) and a balcony view of the ocean. The furniture was nice and there was a good table for meals. We cooked a fair amount and the dishes were enough to work with, though a cookie sheet might be helpful.The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Blackout curtains were effective. Sleeping was relatively easy.The bathroom was quite nice and I greatly appreciated the bathtub so I could sit to bathe.We used the washer/dryer and appreciated the instructions and laundry detergent pods.The beach equipment was nice and my friend used the swim fins for snorkeling, since she hadn't brought hers.My only thought (personal choice, really) is that carpet in a beachfront condo can get dirty very easily. I do prefer solid-state flooring.

Family vacation

Owner was great at responding promptly before our stay and communicated with us at arrival. The on site manager was equally as good at communicating with us and throughout our stay if we needed. The condo was clean and worked well for us and our 2 kids age 6 and 8. The kitchen was well stocked but no storage for your pantry items. The kids loved the pools and snorkeling right off the beach plus enjoyed the amenities in the condo for the pools and beach. They loved looking for wildlife (geckos, fish, frogs and cats) plus the daily rainbow sightings off the lanai. We’re already planning our next trip back sooner than later.

Family reunion in Maui

We flew from western New York for a family reunion. Besides a slight mix up with not being able to get towels, that our contact and property manager fixed immediately, everything was amazing! Great views of the sunrise over the ridge from the balcony, and you can even see the ocean! Beds were comfy and the place even had kids plates for us to use for our kudos! Great stay. Highly recommend.

Would go back in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Honua Kai! The property was beautiful and much quieter than the area near Whalers Village, yet close enough to walk to those attractions. The kitchen had everything we needed including storage containers for packing lunches for the beach. We greatly appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and extra beach toys so we didn’t have to rent those items. Check in was a breeze! The valet service when we arrived was amazing after a long day of travel- they brought EVERYTHING up to our condo including all of our groceries. The towel service at the pool was fantastic especially with a large family. Communication with the property manager both prior to our arrival and while we were there was excellent! I just can’t say enough good things about this place. I would recommend it to all of my friends and family and would go back in a heartbeat!
