Great Lake House

We had a great stay at this property. The house had everything we needed. The screened in porch and the waterfront were fantastic. The property owner Doug was very responsive. A great vacation house!

Fabulous stay

Such a wonderful house that has it all. This house is more than equipped with everything you may need. The beach is wonderful for young kids and the screen porch is so lovely to spend most of your indoor time in. Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful family vacation

Our family of adults, children, and a teenager had a wonderful, relaxing stay - our 4th visit. The house is comfortable and well equipped, with lots of books, games, and puzzles for children and adults. The lake offers great swimming and boating, and the kayaks, paddleboards, and outside toys were greatly enjoyed, as were the wild blueberries that grow along the shore. The owner is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Wonderful week!

We loved our time at this home. It was private and quiet. The house is perfect, and full of all the water sports supplies one could ask for. The owner is responsive and accommodating. My children loved the little beach. It was an excellent week at the lake!

Lakefront beauty

We loved our stay on this beautiful property overlooking the lake. It was a well stocked kitchen and anything you did need to make meals was just a short ride to the supermarket. we appreciated that the property had a dock for our jet ski as well as 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, and life vests which we then didn't need to bring. We also appreciated being able to eat out on the screened in porch on a table that could be extended for extra room. Our hosts were reachable by cell phone and very responsive to our inquiries. They were truly gracious hosts. We would definitely recommend and love to stay there again.

The Perfect Lakehouse with a private beach and lake access

This is the best Lakehouse that I ever stayed. The private beach/sand was smooth. It was so easy to get in and out of the water for swimming. The private floating dock was a favorite among all. Paddle boarding and kayaking were so much fun in the warm lake. Plus these water toys were provided! Such a plus..The views from the house were incredible. Beautiful windows that showed the lake. The deck was another favorite. Everyone loved to lay on the chairs and read while soaking up the sun. There was also a screened in porch where we loved to eat our meals. So many puzzles. Books, toys, and a table tennis/ ping pong table too..The house was super clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. And the owner is absolutely wonderful. The communication is great; he is so responsive. My family and I had the best time. I would highly recommend.

Exceeded our expectations

We had a great extended family vacation at the lake. The house is very spacious, every amenity thought of and provided and the best part of course, the lake. My son-in-law and granddaughter would take boats out at sunrise and we'd follow after morning coffee. :) There are plenty of toys for kids of all ages - young to old. Kitchen has every gadget from popcorn maker to slow cooker. We enjoyed meals in the screened in porch. Beds are comfortable and the setting relaxing. We got groceries at the Market Basket about 10 minutes away. Nothing else close by so plan accordingly. Owners were easy to communicate with and we hope to return. It's a beautiful spot.

Amazing Family Vacation Hideaway

We had an absolutely wonderful time here. We stayed a week with our three girls and close friends. The place is amazing between the home and the peaceful beauty of the lake. The home is outfitted with games and tons of books for all ages, very well-equipped kitchen (all the way down to the Jaimie's burger maker), all the toys and watercraft you could think of to fully enjoy the gorgeous lakefront. We stayed over 4th of July and loved participating in the special community celebrations. Doug was communicative, very responsive, and easy and enjoyable to work with!

Lovely Fall Getaway

Upon opening the door to this home we were all wowed by the lake views directly outside the enormous living room windows. Wow, just wow. There is nothing like a gorgeous view and a beautiful, cozy home to spend a long weekend with family. We played many of the plentiful games + puzzles, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, and took solo peaceful rides in the kayaks. It was a perfect weekend and we hope to do it again sometime.

Wonderful family vacation

This property was such a delight to rent. The home was extremely clean, the beds were so comfortable, there was so much space for my four children and their families and the kitchen was so well stocked and large enough for more than one cook at a time. The lake and outside toys were enjoyed by all. The property is safe for young children. Even on a rainy day, there was plenty to S is by far the best rental we have had with VRBO.

The perfect lake house

This is a beautiful private lake house with everything you could want, inside and out. It’s set in the woods on the shore of a quiet lake. Just the place to relax, unwind, and get away from it all! We loved our stay here!

Perfect Lake House

We absolutely loved this property! The house is spacious and clean and the views of the lake are beautiful. The beach and lake are right in the backyard, so it's a perfect spot for little kids. We spent all of our time at the lake and had a blast using the kayaks and paddle boards provided. There are also a bunch of sand toys to use. When we weren't at the lake we were on the screened in porch enjoying the lake views and nice breeze. We hope to visit here again someday.

Lakefront paradise

The house was very spacious and well appointed. The lake was quiet and great for swimming! We loved that we could use the kayaks and paddle boards! The owner was very responsive and great to work with! We will definitely be back.

Love this place!

This is a great property, house, and location. The house is very nice and well maintained. The lake is great for all activities, yet quiet and private enough to allow you to relax. The owners are great to work with and provide great communication. We have now stayed here 2 times and would absolutely stay here again! We highly recommend this property.

Perfection!

Although we did not have the best weather for our week long vacation, we enjoyed it immensely. The house is just as it is described. It is very well stocked, clean, updated, and in a perfect location. We enjoyed the private beach, kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing. The screened in porch was perfect to sit out on with your morning coffee and a book and take in the view of the lake. The lake is very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Perfect Family Spot

Although we did not have the best weather for our week at the Uhl's beautiful lakefront home, there was little else to complain about! The house was perfect for our needs (our 2 adult children and their families joined us - so we were 6 adults, 1 four-year-old and 1 one-year-old). The convenience of having the house right on the lake was fantastic. Kayaks, paddleboards (and life jackets of every size!), floats and fishing rods were happily used by various family members, as well as the cornhole game. Quite simply, the house itself is gorgeous and everything you might want to have/use is there for you, whether in the kitchen, the great room or the lake. We had a few little glitches while we were there and Doug was great about responding quickly to our questions. As the mom, I really appreciated the cleaning service. It is hard enough getting all those people packed up and out the door without having to worry about cleaning too. We will definitely rent again next year! Thanks Doug and Janice!

Wonderful vacation spot

My husband and I rented this house for a week each of the last 2 summers joined by our daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters (ages 9 and 6). The house is located on a quiet lake and is well set up for families. It is comfortable and very clean. Paddle boards, kayaks and beach toys are available. There are games, puzzles, and books for rainy days or down times. The owners were very helpful and quickly available when I had questions. New London is only 20 minutes away. We had dinner out once each year, but preferred to enjoy meals at the house especially on the screen porch. We are all looking forward to returning every summer. Highly recommend this house.

Wonderful family vacation!

We have spent two summer vacations here with our three-generation family, and everyone loves it! The house is clean, lovely, and well-equipped and the setting is peaceful. The private beach and dock right in front of the house make life very easy and relaxing - no packing up for the day, and little ones can nap in the house or in the shade while adults easily trade off supervision responsibilities so that even new moms can feel like they are part of the fun. There are beach toys and inside toys for kids, and kayaks, paddle boards, and plenty of games and puzzles for the grown-ups. The owner is friendly and helpful. We love it here and are planning our third visit. Highly recommended!

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay at this very lovely home - our favorite of all the VRBO's we've rented from in the past. Doug was a pleasure to work with and even stayed on the phone with us to get us to the house when GPS couldn't get get us the last mile as the small dirt road wasn't on WAZE! (perfect!). The lake is beautiful and quiet, except for the loons who sang regularly and even allowed me to paddle my kayak (provided) right up to them for some great pics. The home is exactly like the pics and very well stocked with games and puzzles and everything you could want in the large terrific kitchen. On an overcast day we had a great time at Mt. Sunapee (15 min away) but it was really about quiet family time, long walks on the local roads and paths in the woods and swimming in the beautiful lake. It was a perfect family stay. Thanks Doug!

Perfect!

I can't say enough about this lovely home! Spacious open concept with room for everyone. Huge windows, lots of light, and immaculately clean. The home was well stocked with everything we could possibly need, whether it was a kitchen utensil or a family board game. Home has one of the best waterfronts on the entire lake, and the lake itself is clean and very quiet, with almost zero boat traffic. We were there in peak mid summer with a full week of sunny and warm days, yet we only saw a couple boats the entire time. I have 4 older children (HS and college) but I couldn't help but think how perfect this would also be for a family with young children. Totally stress free!! We took advantage of everything this home and area had to offer....swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking, antique hunting, puzzles, board games....and of course plenty of reading and enjoying time with our family and friends....and I encourage you to do the same! Every one of us had a blast and it was a great week. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!!!

What a great place!

We decided to go to New Hampshire for a family reunion (8 pax) over Memorial Day Weekend and chose this property that turned out as a perfect pick. The house is roomy, clean, modern, well maintained and fully equipped. Stunning views from the porch, easy access for all kinds of water sports activities and a large Market Basket grocery store right at I89 exit #9 are further strongpoints. The screened porch protects you against millions of flies and mosquitoes that are pretty distracting around this part of the year.

I grew up in this area of New Hampshire and still love it. My family and I live in Connecticut now but we try to come up as much as possible. The best thing about hosting is hearing stories from our guests about memories they created at the lake with children and grandchildren.
