If your family loves outdoor living and has been dreaming of escaping to the beach, Maddie Mermaid's Beach House is the perfect vacation destination for you! With a spacious sundeck, cozy sunroom, outdoor lounge/dining area and a huge swimming pool, you'll feel like you're staying in your own private resort! Plus, when you're ready to hit the beach, it's only a 0.4-mile (9-minute walk) to the Tateway Rd. beach access or a 1-minute drive to the Perry St. beach access with parking!

Your family will love splashing around in the oversized swimming pool with a bonus diving board and slide that provides hours of entertainment! Surrounding the pool deck, you'll find plenty of lounge chairs for working on your tan and tables with umbrellas to provide shade on those especially hot days. A ground-level storage area contains the laundry room along with a full-size refrigerator—perfect for poolside snacks. A toilet area can be easily accessed from the pool deck. An enclosed outdoor shower is available for rinsing off the sand after spending the day out by the ocean. Beneath the home is a covered sitting area for enjoying the sea breeze no matter the weather and features a picnic table and gas grill perfect for alfresco dining.

Step into the spacious great room with vaulted ceilings, wood paneled walls and plenty of mermaid décor to unwind on the comfortable leather furniture situated around a large flat-screen TV with DVD & sound bar. Beautiful French doors let in plenty of natural sunlight and take you outside to the large wrap-around sun deck with horizon ocean views. You'll feel right at home in the gourmet kitchen with Quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances that comes fully stocked with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. There is bar seating for 2 at the island and an adjacent dining area offers space for 8. Rest easy in one of two bedrooms on the main floor: a King bedroom enjoys a ceiling fan and TV while the second room contains a Queen Bed, Twin Bed, TV, and ceiling fan. A full bath can be accessed from the hall and contains a bubbly jacuzzi tub. A bonus sunroom with ceiling fan features a daybed with trundle and is the perfect spot to lounge around with your favorite book on a sunny afternoon.

Upstairs, you'll find the remaining two bedrooms that share access to a full-sized hall bath with a tub/shower combo. A spacious King bedroom includes a TV and ceiling fan while the second bedroom features a Queen Bed, Twin Bed and ceiling fan for added comfort.

Maddie Mermaid's Beach House is located off milepost 4.5 in Kitty Hawk meaning you're never far from great restaurants or local attractions! Just 0.2-miles (5-minute walk) away, you can watch incredible sunsets at the Windgrass Circle sound access or hop on the Wright Brothers multi-use path perfect for biking or taking a leisurely nature stroll. If going out to enjoy fresh seafood is your favorite beach activity, you'll love the Black Pelican Oceanfront Restaurant, Hurricane Mo's Beachside Bar and Grill, Sanya Asian Bistro, Longboard's Island Grill and I Got Your Crabs Shellfish Market and Oyster Bar. TW's Bait & Tackle is also located nearby making it easy for the fisherman in your group to stock up on supplies and fresh bait. Avid golfers should check out Sea Scape Golf Links for an 18-hole links layout golf course while nature lovers will want to visit the Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve where visitors can hike and bike through trails winding through the forests and wetlands. We had an amazing week in the OBX at Maddie Mermaid’s house. The pool was much bigger than expected and the slide was a big hit. The rooms were comfortable and the large couch was great for relaxing or playing games with the family. Overall a fantastic experience.

Beautiful home and location

Our stay was a wonderful one! The house and pool are beautiful. We had enough rooms for our family and grandkids. It is beautifully located in an area where there is tons of things to do and a walking/bike path not far from the house along the water. The kids enjoyed the pool and couldn’t get enough of it. It was a very enjoyable vacation!!

Perfect home away from home

This house was perfect for everyone in our party. We loved our pool days! The kitchen also has everything you could need. There is no need to pack anything for beach from home, everything was there on property!

This house needs quite a few improvements to keep all guest completely happy with their stay. The pool was the best attribute and we had lots of fun with the diving board and the slide. It does say that it is a 9 minute walk to the beach, but you would have to cross a major 4 lanes of traffic to get there.

We loved the house! The kids loved the pool, even tho it was cold (we wasn’t told there wasn’t pool heat available until a week before check in when I called to have it turned on and ready for our stay). Overall we had the best time and we will definitely be back again!

Overall great stay

The house is really nice the only thing is it says 8 minute walk to the beach but you have to cross the main road which is basically a highway. So there was no really walking to beach and there is plenty of parking but loading up the car was not the best. The upstairs bedrooms get very hot and might need there own HVAC. The pool and house had almost everything you would need my family enjoyed our stay. If we would have know about the crossing the highway to get the beach we might have booked another property.
