Beautiful Beach Retreat steps from Buckroe Beach!

No need to drive to the beach, you're already there! Steps from historic Buckroe Beach and Park, you will find calm waters, soft sand and lots of shells. This beach is on the calm, tranquil waters of the Cheasepeake Bay and is perfect for kids and families. In addition to being walking distance to the beach, the house is also a short walk to a park with pavilions available for reservation, grills for cooking out, a large playground as well as restaurants, a scenic pier, a fishing pier, a convenience store and many other anemities.
By car, the property is located only a few minutes from several grocery stores and a seafood market. Great restaurants & breweries can be found within 3-4 miles (pizza, seafood, french creole, mexican, italian and many more!) Also, knowing that is gets hot during the summer, each bedroom has a large ceiling fan to keep you cool while resting - afternoon nap or at night!
There are Jetski rentals, concessions and ice cream available throughout the summer on the newly renovated boardwalk. On Saturday mornings throughout the summer there is a farmers' market with local produce, crafts and food across the street in the park.
Walking distance to Buckroe Beach. Driving distance to Grandview Beach, Outlook Beach, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Williamsburg, Bush Gardens, Watercountry USA, the Virginia Aquarium, the Virginia Zoo, Fort Monroe, Hampton University, Christopher Newport University and Old Dominion University.

Family Get Together

This property rental is great for family get togethers. The house is impeccable and roomy to house a large family of all ages. The plus is it is right across the street from the park and the beach. Great house rental for family get together to make memories and have a wonderful stay. The renters were responsive and very accomodating.

Great for families!

This was a beautiful property in a beautiful location! I loved that there were toys and games available for kids, especially since it ended up raining most of the week we were there and we didn't get to spend as much time at the beach as we had hoped. As for the nearby beach, it was really great for kids and families. We had a wonderful time and will hopefully come back again!

Family Visit

Great property and easy to follow instructions from owner. Was visiting our son in Hampton and had my parents join us from North Carolina. Perfect place to stay in Hampton with lots to do and see. The beach was just across the street and an awesome park. Will surely stay again in the future.

Great house on a beautiful beach!

We had a great time, the house was very clean and owner was very helpful, even recommending good places to eat. It was a great location, only a block away from the beach. The house was spacious and easily fit the 10 of us, and had toys and games for the kids to use. I would recommend it 100%!

Fun beach vacation for all!!

The Blue Crab Beach House is a beautiful home with plenty of space for a family/friends vacation. The house itself is nicely decorated and contains all of the amenities you could ask for (and more!). The location is a short walk to the beach, and the beach is a more secluded beach where you do not have to worry about overcrowding, etc. My family will definitely stay again!

A JOYFUL Stay!

I chose this house and location for a women’s retreat on JOY and it exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful place to stay with so many amenities and lovely rooms and porches. It is steps from the beach and beautiful boardwalk. Our host Errol was incredible. I was so grateful for his excellent communication before, during and after the stay. Such a lovely stay!

Property had everything you need and was in a great location. Short walk to the beach. Short drive to good local food options. Perfect vacation house for families

We spent a week in August at the Blue Crab House and loved our stay. The house was clean, well equipped with a spacious kitchen and living room. Ample space for our family of 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Morning coffee on the balcony was awesome! The beach is less than 5 minutes walk from the house. Everything was perfect.

The house was beautiful. The owners were very helpful throughout the whole stay. The house was a short walk away from the beach which helped with the 5 children that were in attendance. For the most part, the neighborhood was very nice and well maintained. We would definitely rent this house again!

Great location!

We had 7 adults and 3 children in our group for a long weekend trip. We were able to walk to the beach in the morning, come back to make lunch, then return to the beach for the afternoon every day. There was also a park across the street that had a craft fair on Saturday. Host was great and easy to communicate with. All in all it was a great getaway.

Extra house for extra company

Needed a little extra space for our family Easter with our daughter’s family that lives close by. It was well stocked, clean and had the amount of bedrooms as in the description. Easy in and out with the key pad. Worked perfectly! Short walk to the beach!

Buckroe beach

The house was fantastic, and communication with the owners was great. Buckroe beach was nice and not crowded during the week though we did have to worry about jellyfish and my 10 year old was stung. Being in the bay, the waves were minimal which was great for the little kids. The block the house was located on was fantastic, but the surrounding area wasn’t quite as nice. Overall it was a great stay though.
