We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful house on the bay! The calm waters and private beach were perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding. The fire pit was a favorite for making s’mores, and the swing, games, and even a piano made it feel extra special—great for creating lasting family memories. We stayed with four adults and four kids, and the space was just right. The charcoal BBQ was perfect for grilling, and the location made it easy to explore. We enjoyed visiting Colonial Williamsburg, the Nauticus museum and Battleship Wisconsin, Virginia Beach, and also loved just relaxing at the house. The renters were friendly, responsive, and always willing to answer any questions we had, which made everything even more enjoyable.Highly recommend for a fun, comfortable, and memorable getaway!

We had a good week. The host was excellent with communication. However, the property and house was not clean. We felt like we left it cleaner than we found it. The space was good inside the house and it accommodated us well. The furniture though, is old and not comfortable at all. Everywhere we went in the places surrounding the house, whether the beach or the fishing pier, there was the smell of marijuana. Except the beach on 13th street was fine and peaceful. We ended up spending a lot of time in the city of Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

We’re so glad you’re considering a stay at our waterfront home—it’s a special place for our family, and we love being able to share it with others.

As parents of two energetic kids (ages 6 and 10), we’ve found this home to be the perfect spot for creating fun memories together. Our kids absolutely love the water—whether it's playing on the little backyard beach, paddling in the kayaks, or just spotting birds and dolphins from the shore. There’s something magical about watching them explore and enjoy nature so freely.

We’ve spent countless evenings here roasting marshmallows around the firepit, playing board games at the table, or making up silly songs on the piano and guitar. It’s the kind of place where screens get forgotten, and quality time just happens naturally.

Hosting gives us a chance to share that experience with you. We love hearing about the memories our guests make—sunsets on the bay, kayak adventures, peaceful mornings with coffee in hand. Whether you're here with kids, friends, or on a quiet getaway, our hope is that you feel at home, relaxed, and recharged.

Thanks for considering our place—we’d be honored to host you!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose this property because it offers the perfect blend of peace, space, and fun right on the water. The private backyard beach instantly drew us in—it’s a rare find and makes it feel like your own personal retreat. The views of Willoughby Bay are stunning, especially at sunset, and we loved the idea of sipping coffee or wine while watching the water.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We also loved the variety of things to do without ever leaving the property—playing the piano or guitar, kayaking on calm waters, sitting around the firepit, or having game nights inside. It’s big enough for families or groups to spread out (over 2,800 sq ft!), but still feels warm and inviting.

The location is ideal—just across from the naval base, steps from a boat ramp, and only a short walk to a larger public beach. Wildlife visits are a bonus too—birds, dolphins, and peaceful moments with nature right outside the door.

This home felt like the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and coastal charm—and we knew it would be a place where great memories are made.
