Located in Cresco, this terrific 5-bedroom with loft country house/chateau offers a blend of comfort and charm. With 2 king beds, 2 bunk beds, and 1 queen bed, guests will find plenty of space to unwind. The property features 3 bathrooms with showers and hair dryers, as well as an additional office space with a king bed. Enjoy the soothing ambiance of this tranquil retreat, complete with WiFi, heating, AC, and a washing machine. We look forward to hosting you at our place.5 Bedroom 3 bath Chalet with loft sleeps 16 with 10 ( bed linens are not provided, Please bring your own. Comforters, Pillows are provided ) Property sits on 9 acres with a private 2 acre lake with a dock and canoe. Two bedrooms on the 1st floor have 40" led tv's, one bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom has 2 twin XL Bunk Beds. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor has a 65" led tv with a king size bed and own private bathroom. The loft also has a 40" tv with a pull out bed for 2. On the lower level there are 2 additional bedrooms with a full bath, shower stall. One bedroom has 2 queen bunk beds and the other room has a king bed. All TV's are smart TV's with the capability to stream your your favorite TV shows, satellite internet as well ( WIFI ). On the first floor there is a wood burning stove and a gas log fireplace, ( AC as well ) with 2 sofas. Kitchen has all up dated appliances. Washer and dryer on the first floor. All bed linings supplied if you desire or can bring your own. A mountain setting with all the amenities from home. 1/2 mile from State game lands. Ski, snowboard, swim, hunt, fish, hike, kayak, bike, or spectate at a world-class racetrack!
Wrap around deck with seating over looking the lake. Amazing bird watching. There have been a few bald eagles that visit the lake time to time. A great Pocono vacation stay.

Friends weekend getaway

We rented the cabin for a friends weekend getaway and it was perfect! Great location with lots of space. We especially loved the lake view and living room space. Would definitely stay here again!

Annual winter getaway

This is a beautiful property nestled in the woods by a small pond/lake. Perfect for nature lovers, as you are surrounded by woods and forests. Donald gave clear check in and check out instructions. The home and grounds are actually bigger and nicer than shown in the pictures. We’re thinking about doing our summer family vacation here!

Wonderful Thanksgiving holiday

Beautiful house on a beautiful piece of land. My family of 13, from 5 years old to 83 years old had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the spacious and comfortable house and loved exploring the pond and property.

Wonderful getaway

My family and I had a great time on our 3-night stay. I easily reached the owner when I had difficulty entering the door (I was at the wrong door haha). We very much enjoyed the canoe and paddleboat. The kitchen was freshly renovated and furnished with everything we needed to prepare large group meals. The cottage offers the best of both worlds: a rustic feel but with modern benefits (a/c, TV’s in every room, bathroom vents, updated appliances). I pile definitely return.

Our stay was great, could not get any of the TV to work . A pile of wires in corner, said it all. Everything else was perfect and comfortable!!! We all enjoyed the stay very much. Decorated nicely. Could use a ping pong table or pool table. 😍

Great family get away

This is our second time staying at this “lake house”. It’s in a great location with its own lake. The kitchen was updated and the lower level/basement seemed to be pretty new which was great. WIFI is spotty but that’s to be expected when you’re in the woods that also made my kids stay outside most of the time, which I didn’t mind. My kids were fishing pretty much every day even in the 90 degree heat. There are ample fish in the lake plus a few surprises as my son caught a 5lb large mouth. We had a few issues with the AC and batteries missing in remotes which i contacted the owner about. Very prompt responses which was refreshing. Overall, we had a great time and my kids can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

Huge disappointment

There was a constant, loud banging coming from the heating system that was like a loud Chinese water torture. We had to turn the heat off to make it stop but the house quickly got cold. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway this is not the place. Home was very dirty as well. We left after less than 24 hours.

There is a fan in the kitchen in the baseboard under the sink that blows heat into the kitchen. This was not a loud banging noise as described by this guest. The noise that they were hearing was the blower for the heat in the baseboard in the kitchen. nothing we can do about that. Thats the way the heat was installed in the kitchen. I spoke to them on the phone and explained to them it was the blower to the heater. Never had a problem with other guest with this. Also, when I spoke to them on the phone they never mention anything about the house being dirty. This home is professionally cleaned after each guest. I'm not sure what their motive was about rating the property as they did. They complained about anything and everything from the time they got there.

This house need to be updated and cleaned

It was hard to find, no lights or reflectors.More gravel needs to be put on the long driveway.Real bumpy.House had to be cleaned .Shower curtain liner in main bathroom needs to be replaced.Dirty dishes in dishwasher .5TV , only 2 worked.Dryer doesn't work. Loose panel on coffee table. Loose flooring and cracked tile in kitchen.

I would never rent to her again! They destroyed my home! They broke a window into pieces left the house a total mess. We held her deposit so I guess she is a little salty. As you can see in pevious reviews the house was great. House is upgraded and kitchen is in the process of being remodeled.

Not everything available in listing

We were very disappointed to find that the bottom floor was blocked off, which included another bathroom and more bedrooms, even though those spaces were included in the listing. We only had available to us 2 bathrooms, 1 room with 2 twin bunks, 1 room with a Queen, 1 room with a king, and the loft. In addition, there was nowhere to put trash outside, and the animals picked through it, leaving a mess. There were some plumbing issues, as well (backed up drain), which we fixed ourselves. Donald was responsive on the last 2 issues, but these were things we needed to attend to which we didn't expect. We would have appreciated a heads-up about bringing our own garbage bags. Other than these things, it was a nice space, but we would probably not stay there again.

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. First off when you booked the house on February 16th, the downstairs was not finished yet so it wasn't listed. The day of your stay the township did not issue a Use & Occupancy. The listing only included 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. 2 twin XL bunkbeds on the first floor, one queen bed in the other bedroom on the first floor. The 2nd floor has a king day bed in the loft and a king bed in the master bedroom. We have a trash service that picks up the trash during your stay, which it was picked up during your stay. Reason being the road is over 1500' from the house. Never knew about a plumbing problem?? Did you inform me of one? You were giving check in instructions before you check in and it clearly states to bring paper products, We DO supply toilet paper because we have a septic system and you need septic safe paper. I wish you were more honest.

Property Not as Described, Major Safety and Cleanliness Issues

I recently stayed at this property, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The property did not match the description provided. Here are the main issues we encountered:Faulty Steps: One member of our group fell and got injured due to faulty steps. This is a significant safety hazard that must be addressed immediately.Dusty Rooms: The rooms were not clean and had a noticeable layer of dust, which made the stay uncomfortable.King Beds: There are only two king beds, not three. One bed is a trundle for a full-size bed. The trundle has to be put up and connected which was difficult to do. Loose Faucet: The faucet in the bathroom was loose and difficult to use. It needs to be fixed to ensure proper functionality.Broken Window: One of the windows was broken, which not only affected the room's temperature but also posed a safety risk.Broken Chair: There was a broken chair in the living room, making it unusable and adding to the overall discomfort.Overall, this property was not up to the standards promised in the listing. I strongly recommend that the host make immediate repairs and address these issues to ensure the safety and comfort of future guests

Many things in disrepair

The house is great, location lovely. We had a wonderful time despite the drawbacks. Drawbacks: 4 rails missing on upper deck railing... very dangerous for small children! Master bedroom windows wide open when we arrived and were stuck open the entire time. Air conditioner in master bedroom broke two days into trip; thankfully that's when the hot weather stopped! Air conditioner in a downstairs bedroom iced over and leaked. Paddle boat sunk and in bad shape; obviously has been that way for awhile, so we only had one boat instead of the promised two. Tried to contact owner, which was difficult since VRBO's system did not deliver some of the time, would not allow me to send my cell # to him so we could communicate via text. Owners response to sunk boat: "its a shame that renters don't respect our property"... (not my problem!! House was advertised to have two boats!) Owners response to windows stuck open in master bedroom: "Maybe you can removed screens and pull the windows closed"... (this would have involved moving the king sized bed to get to the window and hanging out of a 2nd story window to try to fix). Also, "Private Lake" is not accurate. Its more of a pond, and there is another house just across the pond, where there was a party with VERY loud music on Saturday night. Thankfully, they were gone by Sunday. We just gave up on trying to get anything fixed while we were there, and enjoyed the rest of our trip. Fishing great, pond lovely, house clean.

Mixed review.

It took us a bit of time to find the property. It wasn’t marked as stated and it was quite a bit off the beaten path ( that was a good thing). We were looking for isolation. When we got into the house we noticed that the floors weren’t very clean and the fridge needed internal cleaning as well. We washed the floors and cleaned fridge. We also were concerned about how the bedding looked so we washed that as well. We then noticed a leak under the kitchen sink in the “U” drain pipe and the cold water valve. Called the owner and he said he would send a plumber, tomorrow (Monday). The leak was enough to require that a fairly Decent sized bowl had to be emptied each day. Plus the odor was not pleasant since it was a drain pipe. We also contacted the owner and complained about the lack of cleanliness. This all took place within the first 3 hrs of moving in. The owners response to the cleanliness issue was ....“I’ve only gotten top tier reviews. It might be better if you leave now and I’ll give you a full refund ( not the response that makes you feel wanted after a long journey) “ It’s unfortunate because it is a very nice venue. We got the seclusion we were looking for and the house is very nice. The only other issue is that it was advertised that there were many varieties of fish in the lake, so we came prepared for all manner of fish. In the final analysis only sun fish were home. By the way, a plumber never appeared.

In Response to this guest concerns Benjamin and his parents complained from the time they arrived at the property. From the place not being clean to the sink leaking the internet/wifi being sketchy and satellite tv not working. Its satellite tv and internet, it works just fine. So I told him it seems that your not going to enjoy your stay and if he wanted I would give them a full refund. Then he wanted to know if the refund included if they stayed. I said no your only there for 3 hours into your stay. ( seems like they were looking free nights ) The complaints at that time stopped. Benjamin and his parents stayed. This home is professionally cleaned after each guest leaves. The Plummer did come and found the P trap was loose and hand tightened it. As far as the guest saying it was leaking all the time and that there was oder coming from it was absolutely false. There are 2 drains in the sink and for it to be leaking all the time the water had to be running in the sink all the time.

Great Place

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect cabin in the woods with a nice pond. Has everything you need for a great stay. Only problem was I tried everything and couldn’t figure out the gas fireplace, but it didn’t really matter. I would not hesitate to book this place again.
