3-Bedroom (plus Queen size pullout couch), 1 full bath, central AC, Outdoor Shower. One bedroom ON FIRST FLOOR and two upstairs. Beach accessories, kayaks and bikes provided free to guests.

Please note that this is my fourth short rental property on VRBO. I started with my first one in 2015 in Mystic. I have average ratings on all three of 5 “Exceptional. " This property is my favorite! Recently renovated beach house short walk to Giants Neck Heights private beach and Rocky Neck State Beach next door. Central AC, Guest Kayaks, Guest Bicycles, Outdoor Shower. Enjoy beautiful sunsets over Long Island Sound in one of the best beach areas in Connecticut. Outdoor deck and full backyard with patio available for guest use. Cool off with central AC on hot days or use the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. Some of the amenities:

IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO NIANTIC BEFORE - Niantic is a seaside village located in the town of East Lyme. It is an active family orientated community with locally owned bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, movie cinema, kid's museum, retail shops and yes...BEACHES...lots of them. There are two town beaches (Hole in the wall and McCook), one state beach (Rock Neck State Park) and numerous of private neighborhood beaches (Crescent, Black Point, Oak Grove, Davis, etc. Then there is arguable the nicest waterfront walkways in CT. The Niantic Bay Boardwalk is 1.1 miles (1.6 km) long with dozens of built in benches along the way. It is reserved for walkers and runners only.

NON WATERFRONT ACTIVITIES: 10 minutes away is a large Stop & Shop grocery store, COSTCO, large drug store and a movie theater. Casinos, Mystic Village, Seaport and Aquarium are 20 minutes away. Historic Old Lyme with its museums and Art Schools are the next town over. Just 15 minutes away is Old Saybrook with historic Fenwick and The Kate Theater. Going in the other direction, 15 minutes away is New London with its historic waterfront, the Garde Arts Theater and ferries to Long Island, Fishers Island and Block Island.

Wonderful Accomodations in Quaint Neighborhood With Beach

Thoughtfully appointed and acessorized. Nothing overlooked. Nice quiet beach was a short walk away. We had 4 adults and were very comfortable and would look to stay here again if the need arises.

Perfect weekend at the beach!

Loved the place. It was great to get the beach parking pass. And the bikes and kayaks to borrow was a great bonus! Thank you we hope to come again!

Gorgeous, comfortable, quiet house!

Incredibly well-equipped kitchen (huge plus for me) and clean and comfortable rooms made our stay super enjoyable. We spent lots of time on the deck and enjoyed the breeze and the sounds of birds and nothing else. What a perfect place to vacation.

Perfect place for us during USCGA graduation it was close to the academy and the events during the week. It was a bit too chilly to enjoy the beach/water, but great place to stay.

Great stay for family in a quiet neighborhood

The home was cozy, bright and inviting. We had a great time walking to the beach and watching the sunrise with our toddler. House was great for a family with young children, Rob really thought of everything! Highly recommended.

Four nights with my wife and pet. Clean, well provisioned and comfortable. Toni is planning to host her girlfriends here! The beach was beautiful, warm water and also clean.

Loved everything about this house!

By far one of the best properties we’ve rented. It was extremely clean, well stocked & a great location (close to beach and a nice neighborhood). The owners were available, kind & accommodating without overstepping on our privacy. Also found that the price was very reasonable compared to others in the area. Excellent property!

Return trip

This was our second time staying here. We stayed last year and had just as good a time as before. The house is so comfortable and clean. Has everything one could need so didn’t have to pack as much. Enjoyed the kayaks and having a fire. Another great perk about this house is its central location to SO MUCH! The neighborhood is so quiet and nice. The host has great communication and makes everything easy! Can’t wait to come back again!

Perfect!

The house was recently renovated spacious, and tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed for a stress free stay. The location is A+. The private beach that's walking distance was amazing. Bob was an excellent host, answering any questions and going above and beyond (the beach umbrella was a godsend!!). I would highly recommend this place!

Will be our new tradition!

The house was more than I expected! It was larger than it seemed in the pictures. Rob was great, very responsive and friendly. There was so much stuff in the shed for the beach! We had friends visit a couple of the days and we had more than enough chairs and wagons. We hope to make this our new yearly vacation.

A Lovely Getaway Spot

This house was perfect for my husband, our young daughter, and our dog for a long weekend. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, linens, space, etc. for us. The neighborhood was peaceful and very walkable with easy access to the private beach and neighboring Rocky Neck State Park. Rob, the owner, was friendly and communicative throughout the process and when we were there. We only wish that we could have stayed longer.

Great Location and Amenities

We were looking for a location close to where I vacationed as a child and this cottage was perfect - close to the beach and the host provided kayaks for us to use. The property was well maintained and the home was clean and comfy. They provided everything you would need as if it were your own home. They provided thick and soft bath towels, shampoo and conditioners etc. This was a wonderful VRBO experience - highly recommended James and Michele

Short getaway

Very happy with our visit. Great location, walking distance to the beach. Nice neighborhood. House was immaculate. Host provided everything - linens, fully loaded kitchen, soaps, shampoos, ,beach wagon, chairs, toys etc. for guests enjoyment. Just need to watch head in the slightly narrow staircase. Communication with host (Rob) was great - responded immediately. Wish we had more time - thank you for a lovely stay!!

Niantic treasure

Very clean, cute seaside decor. Love the window shades through out. Well stock with essentials. Welcoming feeling . Coffee tea bottled water and condiments made it nice so we did not have an early morning race to store. Barbque and nice patio deck. Peaceful and quiet enjoyable. Close to the beach. Owner very considerate and helpful to ensure our stay was perfect.

1 week Vacation

Comfortable but one bathroom for four seniors took some getting used to. House is kitted out with all the beach accessories one might need. Property owner was very responsive when we had trouble adjusting the air conditioning. He called a maintenance person and our problem was quickly rectified.

Perfect Beach-house experience

My family and I loved the stay at the beach house.There was everything there that we needed.The host was excellent .He had listed activities ,restaurants,grocery store and many more. We did not have to bring extra things because everything was there including kayaks ,beech chairs , cooler,etc. We grilled and and made someores. This was a very special time for our family to be together and have fun. We appreciate the host Rob very much for providing the perfect week at the beech experience. Thank you!!!

Beach House Home away from Home

It was such a relief to walk into this clean, cozy home after traveling for a few days. We enjoyed playing yard games, breakfast on the deck, the fire pit in the evening, biking around the block, and walks or drives down to the beach. The streets are narrow but it’s a beach community and everyone drives slowly and expects walkers and bikers. Very friendly and safe area. The kitchen was well stocked and it was so nice to have sharp knives, good utensils, and plenty of bowls and platters for serving food. The kids are already asking to go back to this house on our next visit to CT. Downtown Niantic is lovely and we enjoyed stopping there for pizza, bagels, pastries, icecream, and fried seafood throughout our trip.

Amazing Host, Amazing Location

I booked this house for my mother and father who are in their 70's, as soon as my mother got there she sent a video of how beautiful and clean this house was, she was raving about the neighborhood, she felt like she was in a gated community !! My mother was especially excited that the house was an easy walk to the beach. The Host had ALL supplies needed for their stay from salt and pepper to paper towels and napkins, pots and pans, sheets + blankets along with extra pillows. She even sent me pictures of the blender!! Bob also gave a welcoming packet of all the local restaurants and places to go that one must see during their visit!! Highly recommended, 5 stars doesn't give the Host and his house justice. Thank you for taking care and making it so easy for my parents Bob!! We will be back again!

Location, Location, Location. Located adjacent to Rocky Neck State Beach with the best sunset views to the west, Giants Neck Heights Beach Community is an undiscovered gem. In addition, as a member of the Giants Neck Heights Association, we have our own private beach with parking as well as our own park with tennis, playscape, bocce ball, horseshoes, etc! In my opinion, we have the best beaches on the Connecticut shoreline.
