Summary:

Stay on the edge of South Anchorage in our unique home! Complete privacy, Plenty of parking, huge double yard, 1000 sqft roof top deck for grilling, mingling and relaxation. If you are looking for the Alaskan hidden gems and local vibe, look no further! Our home has been uniquely designed for Airbnb guests to stay here in a completely private area, but have hotel features! Pet friendly with a safe and walkable neighborhood. Hit the highway in 30 seconds for your adventures!



The Space:

****This is a house that has been uniquely remodeled into 3 private units. You will have other people possible being on a different floor. Just keep that in mind when booking. It is NOT the entire building structure to yourself.



Our place is pet friendly, with approved pets. Additional fees may apply with pets. Max of 1 dog. sorry no cats due to allergies. Please message me for details.****



This particular unit is on our bottom floor basement area of our home with kitchen, washer and dryer, bathroom, bedrooms, and living space. It is very well lit with full windows at ground level with black out curtains. You will have coffee, fully stocked laundry supplies, and extensive kitchenware. We have plenty of parking for you to have guests, including off street parking.



Guest Access:

Guests in this Unit will have addtional access to the deck and yard to enjoy! The deck has multiple seating options, a propane firepit and a grill with table seating to enjoy a nice BBQ on a sunny day.

***This unit DOES NOT include the hot tub as it does not have direct access and additional charges apply for this feature. ***

Getting Around:

I would highly suggest getting a vehicle or plan on taking tours. While the 49th state does have transportation companies like Uber and Lyft to get you around town, it is short on ride accommodations that can take you affordably down the beautiful highway system. Alaska is just so big, with over 600 road miles from one end to the other, if you wish to tale in the scenic beauty, a rental car far outweighs the public transportation that is offered to take you out of town.

Ours was a quick stay but we had everything we needed. The place was very clean, beds were comfy and there was coffee! We were on the bottom floor but barely heard the upstairs neighbors. Would stay here again!

Clean and roomy. As long as you read all instructions for check in it is easy and safe. Couch was hard but all round stay was great. I'll book here next time i need to stay in Anchorage.

Clean, quiet, close to town, good parking, and plenty to cook with in kitchen. Was a smaller kitchen, but laid out perfectly. Living room was only place for TV and couch was not comfy, but it was clean.

Great place.

Great place to stay, good neighborhood. One issue was the people upstairs in the other unit were up and walking around all night. Other than that I will definitely recommend and will stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the place. Everything we had wanted. Our trip was to visit our son and family who live in area. I was delighted to find a place so close that felt homey. Carolyn was very responsive to questions. Very good communications. Definitely would stay there again

Anchorage

We stayed in room A on the bottom floor. It was super easy check in, beautifully decorated and super clean. They got back quickly to us with a few tv questions which I appreciated. Location is close to stuff for walking to also. It is a multi unit house so we did hear the footsteps from people in the unit above us, but it was not bothersome at all. Loved our stay! Thanks

Host is Hands Off :(

Location is good HOWEVER the unit itself needs attention! We had 4 adults/8 day stay. This basement unit is VERY noisy! You hear footsteps, conversations (including dogs) and squeaky floors from the 2 units above. The interior seating is woefully inadequate, old, uncomfortable & stained. The wifi is very weak. No garbage cans in bedrooms. Back bedroom could use a mirror please (instead of too many wall plaques) TV's in bedrooms would be nice but wifi probably couldn't support them. There were NO cleaning products available (I like clean bathrooms especially since the toilet tank had WARM water fed into it and made the seat and lid clammy-gross) Host refused us an extra toilet paper roll or box of kleenex. We were told to BUY our own and leave any extra for future guests! Also on the 1st Sunday I emailed Host for kettle, dish cloths & hangers (12 for 4 people) Host told me to go buy items and she would reimburse! Told her I would NOT be shopping for her essentials. We boiled water in the ONE pot she had, used bathroom washcloth etc. Wednesday evening the items were left outside of door for us. We had just come from a wonderful VRBO that had ALL essential & additional supplies and generous amounts of everything to make our stay comfortable and a joy. This Host left us feeling like 'Paying Intruders' I suggest this Host reevaluate her priorities regarding her 'Paying Guests' and put them first- Be YOUR Guest!

I did not realize David was upset and I wouldve done more to accomodate their stay. He messaged me about the tea kettle, hangers and dish clothes at arrival. We have dish cleaning tools but they preferred dish clothes and kettle is not on our amendities list. I went out of my way to get these items for them but mentioned IF they go to the store and get them, I would pay them back. It was not my intention they would shop for me. David then asked about more toilet paper and kleenex. We had 3 rolls for their stay provided and explained for a long stay, we do not continuiously restock the unit. This is pretty standard for VRBO's. They stayed for 8 nights. I will check on the wifi situation. I wish you wouldve mentioned the wifi to me. I am happy to swing by and check on it. We have 2 separate wifi's for the property to ensure everyone can stay connected. Please check our pictures and amendtities list, you will see we dont have tv's in the bedrooms as described. Trash cans are a good idea. I will check on the kitchen items and couch as well. Unfortuantely, we do have other units in the building and yes you can hear people above you. If this doesnt bother you, you will love it here! This is our only major downside and we wish we could fix it permantly. Sorry you didnt have a pleasant stay David! To future guests, please communicate if you are having issues at the unit or if it was not what you expected. We like to keep our guests happy and keep up with the place!

My husband and I live on the 3rd floor with our little dog Luigi. I am available for questions at anytime by phone call or a knock on the door! I love to socialize with my guests! It is what I love most about Airbnb and being a host and Co-host! In the summer months, the deck and fire pit is a great place for us to hang out and let you know about local places to check out that are hidden gems from the tourist traps. I also LOVE being a tour guide for my guests to make sure they have the best possible experience while they are here in Alaska.
