Hilton Head Island will undergo beach renourishment from September 2025 through May 2026 to help preserve the shoreline. During this time, small sections of beach (no more than 1,000 feet at a time) may be temporarily closed to pedestrian access as the project moves along. Plenty of beach will remain open and accessible for you to enjoy throughout your stay.

This coastal chic first floor villa in Treetops is a cut above the rest. Beautifully updated and just minutes from the beach!

A Hilton Head vacation is all about relaxing, reveling in the glorious surroundings, and relishing time with friends and family. Freshly updated and pet-friendly 5503 Treetops makes it easy to do all of that. Not only is the two-bedroom, two-story villa restful and filled with plenty of conveniences, but it’s also in a beautifully landscaped condo complex with a pool and just a 10-minute walk to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

As inviting as 5503 Treetops is, you don’t come to Hilton Head to spend most of your time indoors. The complex’s outdoor pool is ideal for days when the ocean is a bit too chilly or too rough for swimming—or for any other sunny day. When you’re not in the pool you can laze poolside on a chaise or at one of the poolside tables. There are community grills too if you want to barbecue some burgers or kabobs after your swim.

The convenient location means you can walk or bike to Coligny or South Forest Beach in minutes. At least once during your stay, you should wake up early enough to catch the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean; it’s a sight you’ll long remember. When you’re not watching dolphins frolic in the surf and seabirds swoop across the sky you can swim, parasail, canoe, kayak, paddleboard, race jet skis, or search for shells in the sugary sand. Nearly as close by are numerous golf courses (you can drive to Shipyard Golf Club in less than 10 minutes) and tennis courts (Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club is also less than 10 minutes away).

A must stay in HHI

We loved our stay here. The place was extremely clean, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook, and it was in a perfect location with an easy walk to the beach. Vtrips was also great to work with. 5 stars all around. We will definitely be back!

Great place, perfect location!

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The apartment was nicely decorated and has a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. We stayed for 9 nights and were able to “settle in” easily. It was a perfect location for us. We rode bikes to our favorite eating spots and to the grocery store. We would definitely stay here again.

Pet friendly!

We had a great stay! Great location and such a cute condo. The pool was great. There was such nice scenery and we loved walking our dog around the area! I appreciate the condo being so pet friendly and there is a great dog park on the island a little drive away. We will definitely be back. :)

Cozy 2br apt and close to grocery, restaurants

Very good 2br apt/ town home. Spaces were very comfortable. Eat drive to shopping for groceries and restaurants. Walking path for walking the dogs. We liked our stay here. Two things to watch out - not close to the beach and long walk from parking to apartment - if you are carrying a it of luggage, plan to bring a trolley. It is not an issue for getting in and out but for loading and unloading.

Perfect Family Location

We had a wonderful time and the location was incredible! A short and direct walk to the pool was great for us with our kids, who spent hours swimming, and the convenience to the paved beach path made the beach easily accessible by a very short bike ride (we brought our bikes). The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect and cozy for our group. Plenty close to restaurants and the grocery store, and a short drive to the lighthouse. Next time we want a beach weekend getaway, we will definitely be rebooking this property!

Good Property

This property is nice. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds and bedding were great. It was very clean. The paved walk to the beach was great. There were a couple of maintenance issues but nothing too bothersome.

Great location

This is our second time staying in Tree Tops and we love the location and layout of the condos. We enjoyed this house very much and so did our dog as she was able to go to the outside patio since it was on the first floor. She also liked the balcony. Likes that the book listed restaurants that allowed dogs. Also liked that there was a map how to walk to beach. We did this everyday. Minor suggestion was to have a broom and dust pan as we didn’t have anything to clean up with. And there were no blankets to lounge on couch while watching movies.

The property was exactly as per photos and description. Owners really make you feel like if you were home! The Management co is doing their job keeping it very clean and well maintained. I would lease it again in the future

Modern, clean & spacious rental

We loved our clean, comfortable multi level condo. Beautiful decorated & thoughtful extra touches like games, magnifying mirror & dresser fans! GREAT location close to restaurants, shops & fun! Drove often to beach but bikes were everywhere & walking to beach on nice path was about 15 minute walk. Dog friendly unit was great!! Only complaint was complex pool was a little chilly & could use deck updates. Parking was free & accessible. We really enjoyed this beautiful family condo & it’s unique shaded tree complex. The unit was soo nice, updated & clean! So glad we ended up on South end of Island, where the Public beach, shops, restaurants & “nightlife” was! HHI was a Very safe feeling & no loud crazy College kid environment. A great condo to rent & bring your small dog & family along!

Lovely rental and great location.

This unit in Treetops is in a great location, being about a 10 min. walk to Alder Beach via a nearby walking/biking trail. Additionally, its particular location in the condo development is also ideal in that it is one of the few units that does not look over a parking area. It was extremely private and backed onto very lush greenery and palms, almost as if in a jungle. Although Cordillo Pkwy runs behind the unit, it cannot be seen. However, one has to expect some traffic noise especially the morning and late afternoon commuter traffic. The unit itself is spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything one needs in the way of utensils, dishes and appliances. Both bedrooms, which are on the second floor, are lovely, and the mattresses, which appear to be new, are very comfortable. There is lots of storage space. Any improvements to this unit might be to make the downstairs outdoor space, which is outside the living room sliding doors, a bit more usable and comfortable. In general, this was a very nice place to stay and we enjoyed our three weeks at this location.

Family Vacation

The location in relation to the beach was great! However, we have stayed at SO many Vrbo properties and they all feel like your home away from home….stocked with most everything you will need. That is why, especially now with a baby, we choose to book these types of rentals instead of a hotel. Well, we didn’t even have HAND SOAP. We were given 2 packs of body soap the size of a half dollar. No paper towels-which are stated in what they will provide- no hand towels in the kitchen, no garbage bags. Pretty ridiculous if you ask us. We know to bring the standard things, but should NOT have to stock ourselves completely of the BASICS….especially for the price of the rental. We feel pretty ripped off honestly. 100000% would not choose this property again. Also….sliding doors need some updates! Old, heavy, not secure, and the tracks are completely disgusting. MOLD under the sink in the powder room bathroom on the main level. Didn’t even use that bathroom, went upstairs each time. Overall very disappointing for a Vrbo property, felt like a 3 star hotel which is sad for the money we paid.
