Wonderful cozy cottage away from it all but close to everything!

My husband and I spent a week at Cape House and loved how super clean and cozy it was! Fully equipped and first rate service. The location can't be beat - it's close to everything you need or want yet perfectly secluded and quiet. Can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Capehouse. Everything was very clean and well thought out. They provided a nice gift of paper towels, coffee packet, and other goodies. Beds were comfortable and each room decorated cute. Great place!

Nice cute and clean place

We enjoyed the Cape House. They provide a very nice welcome gift with various necessities and even some candy. So great to have a full washer and dryer to catch up on laundry too.

The Best

We stayed at the Cape House for four nights. It was a wonderful place for two sisters coming to Maine to spend time with another sister and her family. They live right around the corner from the Cape House so it was the ideal place for us. The place is set up with everything you would need and it is immaculate. We were very comfortable there and have found a Maine retreat that we can return to year after year.

Cape House and Salt & Shine Team

The Cape House was cute, clean and welcoming and we enjoyed our stay despite the weather. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cups, pans etc., there were air conditioners in all rooms, and the beds were comfortable. The Salt and Shine team communicated well and in detail and were quick to respond! We would stay here again!

Winter stay

The Cape house is in a great location of York village. The condo is great for a family or close friends. It is exactly as pictured very well appointed two bedroom condo. We were able to bring our dog, when going on vacation that is important to us. The team at Salt and Shine were fantastic, so accommodating and very quick to respond to any messages sent. Thank you Salt and Shine team we had a great few days in Maine!

Quiet street in lovely York

Sweet, spacious, and quiet side-by-side duplex with many updates and modern touches. Walkable to multiple places of interest nearby. Operated by a third party property manager, the experience lacks personal touches, warmth, and charm. Very livable, clean, and excellent location.

Cape House & Salt and Shine were great!

Our first VRBO experience and it was great. Salt and Shine were great to deal with. Provided all the info we wanted and needed. Response to our inquiries were immediate and helpful. The Cape House was as described and fully furnished with everything that we could imagine, making it an easy stay.

Cape House = Charming House

Lovely stay! Quiet street, spacious back yard, and massive walk-in closets! A nice space for two adults and three young children. Laundry room is across from the front door. Imperative when coming home from the beach! Back doors open fully to the deck; a wonderful breeze for the dining area (we had fantastic weather!) Bedrooms didn’t feel crowded and overall the house was well cleaned upon arrival. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Cape House was a great rental! We are actually from York Maine but moved to NY three years ago. This property is in such a great area. Located on a quiet street but very close to the beach and everything you need. We walked to Harbor beach and Wiggly Bridge. It is about 2 miles to Long Sands Beach. The house was really nice, clean and well decorated. Plenty of space for my husband and I, our daughter and the dog. It was raining so we didn't use the back deck or yard but it looked nice. One thing to keep in mind is there is no phone service in that area. So when we were waiting for our access code to get in, I couldn't even get email. We had to drive around(toward Hannaford) to get service. Once you get on the WIFI you are good to go inside the house. We had a really fun weekend despite the rain, and look forward to staying here again.

Comfortable, quaint and quiet getaway with all the amenities

Our family of 6 (plus dog) stayed here for a week for a family funeral and found Daniele's property to be the perfect place for our needs. It was super close to York beach, which made it easy for us to relax and have a little fun when we needed to alleviate the sadness of the occasion. The shops in town (art, bagel and pizza!) were easy to walk to and delicious, although we found the kitchen well-stocked for the meals we decided to make. I especially appreciated the quiet of the neighborhood, comfortable beds, washer/dryer and backyard - great for the dog to stretch her legs and for star-gazing at night. Tasteful, calm and unfussy decor - we'd definitely stay again if/when we're back in the area.

Cape House

The Salt & Shine Team are amazing! They responded quickly to every question from the beginning of our booking. The house was clean, they left us a welcome gift, air conditioners in every room, soft white towels, suggestions for restaurants, huge back yard, quiet neighborhood, beautiful perennials and even pet waste bags! Will definitely recommend them to others!

It was nice it was offered as a child proof house, with three under three years old, however a bit more child proofing would truly make this property young child friendly.
