Welcome to the Stone and Cedar Lodge!
Experience a cozy, family-friendly retreat in the heart of the Bluegrass State. Conveniently located just 8 miles from Lexington and 12 miles from Keeneland, our lodge offers easy access to the Bourbon Trail, Kentucky Horse Park, Rupp Arena, Historic Shaker Village, Asbury Seminary & University, and Lexington Airport.

About the Lodge Perfect for large family gatherings, groups, and extended stays, this 2.5-acre property overlooks a private neighborhood lake surrounded by trees and wildlife. The spacious 3,100 sq. ft. home features 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and sleeps up to 16 guests with 7 Queen beds and 1 King bed.

* Family reunions and birthday gatherings are welcome as long as they remain respectful and do not involve overnight guests beyond the reservation.

* For groups of 8+ guests, there’s an additional charge of $20 per extra guest per stay (e.g., 10 guests = $40 additional).
* Payment plan available: 25% due at booking, with the balance due 60 days before check-in. Bookings within 60 days of check-in require full payment.

The house in located just outside Nicholasville and a short drive to Lexington. Was very central to the activities that we had planned and had a great setup for the group we had staying with us. The outdoor fire pit and hot tub was a great addition along with the TV in the main living room. If planning a quite get together or a Bourbon tour this is a great choice.

I would give this 6 stars if possible. Great location, great amenities. The pool, hot tub, and fire pit were excellent. We loved the outdoor deck as well. Nice, big kitchen and kitchen table. Sam was a fantastic host. Very helpful and courteous.

Family vacation

Our family had a great time staying at this lodge! Everyone enjoyed all the activities that were available. The grand kids LOVED the pool, trampoline and playset. We all also enjoyed the firepit !! Great place to stay. Hope to stay here again in the near future!!

Beautiful place! There were NO mosquitoes or any other pesky bugs! The pool and hot tub were great! The pool stayed clean, came with so many floats, and the outdoor area was very relaxing! Sam was an amazing host! We would gladly stay here again!

It was a wonderful experience. My family had a blast. Sam deling was great. He takes cery good care of the property. We had 5 adults and 5 boys ages 6 thru 11. We had a great time

Our large family stayed at the home for 3 nights. There was a lot to do for the adults and kids ages 5 to 14 - nice pool with floats and volleyball, a great hot tub, corn hole, a neat tree house, a big trampoline, basketball goal and a large firepit with plenty of wood. Inside we played board games, air hockey, pool and foosball. We never were bored or felt the need to leave the property to go do something. The rooms and beds were nice. The huge kitchen table and island worked out great for a large group. We also used the nice tables on the back deck and under the pergola. We truly enjoyed our stay. Sam was very good at communicating with us. It was a memorable and fun stay!

Great stay for family fun

We came to this property to get away with family. The house is bigger than the pictures portray. The host was very committed to us having a great stay and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Our kids were never bored and we would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home to visit grandma!

This is our second stay and will definitely be our go-to rental when we travel to visit our extended family! The house is fully stocked and well appointed with plenty of space to spread out or gather The pool and hot tub were great Nice big table inside for eating together or playing games All in all I can't think of anything more we could ask for!

Bourbon trail gem

Great house with heated pool, hot tub and fire pit. Plenty of beds for large groups. Located 10 minutes South of Lexington with easy access to the bourbon trail. Host was extremely helpful.

Family Getaway

Our grown children and grandchild met here for a family vacation and felt right at home! Enjoyed the pool each day, traveled to the Ark Encounter, and enjoyed local attractions. We had plenty of room and would love to stay here again!

Hello I'm Sam.
I'm a retired high school and college teacher. During my more than 30 years as a Shop, Drafting and Graphic Arts teacher, I tried to make learning challenging and fun by using a hands-on approach in all subjects. After retiring I also lectured on cruise ships which allowed me to see a lot of the world.

I was born and raised in Germany, attended German schools and traveled throughout Europe. My wife Carol and I have been married for 44 years. We have two children and one (very spoiled) grandson.

The Stone & Cedar Lodge was our primary home for over 35 year. Back in 1985 I designed the home and then served as the general contractor.
The house has a nice flow with a vaulted great room and a sun loft. All of the main large bedrooms have a walk-in closet.
About 2 years ago I had the chance to build a new house in the same neighborhood, which we recently moved in.
For the past months I have painted the house and set it up as a furnished short/long term rental. It was a big job and but now the lodge is finally ready for you to make some great memories.

Our Stone & Cedar Lodge is relaxing country home in a very quiet neighborhood in Jessamine county. Each building lot is 2.5 acres so there is plenty of space between each house. Sitting on the front porch, you will see a private lake with many trees and wildlife. The neighborhood is very peaceful - My favorite time to take a stroll is early morning or at sunset.
The pool is 16' by 32' and is only 4.5' deep - Please no diving. Great for swimming laps and playing games.
I want to make sure you will have a wonderful time and, if you have any suggestion how I can improve, I would love to hear from you. If the weather cooperates, I would like to build a nice bonfire during your stay.
