We had a nice stay at this property. The location was convenient and near the beaches we wanted to visit. there were quite a few mosquitos outside and that should be addressed. The water pressure in the kitchen was so low it was difficult to do dishes, and there should be a few more non stick pans and utensils available for use. The wifi connection was great and the bathroom upstairs was spacious and we enjoyed taking showers in the roomy shower. Overall a cute place to rest after fun days playing on the beaches.

Dear Guest , Thank you for your review. Sorry about that water pressure issue- was just a filter needing to be replaced. It has been replaced and pressure is back to normal. We are always available and wish you had let us know but next time!

Vacation

Beutiful home and provided you with everything you would need from shampoo and conditioner to k-cups. We had a little issue with the a/c unit in the living room the other units worked great. I didnt realize there was another apartment in the house, i wasn't expecting that but family and I would definitely stay there again. It has been one of the top places we have stayed since coming to Maine the last 4 years.

Well Located in Biddeford, ME

As the title indicates, this property is well located. It’s close to the University of New England campus, beautiful beaches, Portland (30 minutes north) and Kennebunkport (20 minutes south). Karen, the property manager was quick to respond to booking request and a minor concern with an electrical problem. The property is in a wooded area with an aggressive mosquito population, this made it impossible to enjoy the fire pit and outdoor picnic table. As soon as the weather cools and the mosquitoes are gone, I’m sure it will be lovely. I have one suggestion for improvement; One of the queen beds needs replacing (in the bedroom at the back of the house) it makes a lot of noise anytime you move and you sink to the middle when you lay on it. It did not make for a restful first night until we tried the bed in the front room.

My Experience In Maine

The property was beautiful inside. Very muddy outside this time of year if you have little ones there is a long stairway to downstairs you need to bring a gate for the top of the stairs. We had a great relaxing stay. The inside should definitely be cleaner especially for the charge. I should mot find cobwebs in the corner going down the stairs. The ice trays were empty and a filthy orange all inside I had to clean before using. All in all except for some dirt we loved our get away with friends quiet and peaceful. Also why are the people renting responsible for bringing the trash that far to the road with no lights to see outside. I took pics of the landlord is interested. Also when we got there the outside door was broken and stuck on something I took pics and was left the way it was found

Hi Lisa thank you for taking the time to leave your comments we really appreciate your feedback. We did see the door that you were talking about and that's been repaired. It has been very windy lately there and apparently it got jammempt on the trim. As for the cobwebs I will have to speak to the cleaner.

Visiting kids at UNE

Loved the location to UNE. It made it very easy to see our kids between their classes. Cute two bedroom. For four people. Says six but it is a small sofa bed. There were sheets for the sofa bed but only one pillow and no blankets. The heat was turned on upstairs, but no heat on in the bedrooms downstairs. We turned it on, and after five hours it was only 55 degrees. We struggled to maintain an even temperature in any room. The ad stated water view with a pond. There was neither. The back bedroom window did not have a screen on it. The grill was disgusting. A live mouse with a large nest was inside. The grates were so coated in old fat and grease. It took over 15 minutes scrubbing to peel off the gunk. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment. Plenty of towels and dishes. The towels were soft but smelled like they had been sitting in the cabinet for a long time. The water took over two days to not smell like eggs. The washer and dryer was compact but did a great job cleaning the clothes.

The rooms we slept in were actually in a basement setting that was very dark and cold. The cottage was in a much more wooded area than was communicated to us. The tiny window in one of the bedrooms was filthy to the point you could not even see out of it. The floor of the downstairs shower had to be wiped out every morning because either multiple spiders or big black ants had appeared overnight. Signs greeted us when we walked in that instructed us to remove our shoes upon entering because children would be on the floors at some point. If the unit is cleaned properly each time, why do we need to leave our shoes at the door? We had no children with us. The upstairs was nicer and not as cold. There was no ice maker even though it was listed as being there. We had 2 ice trays to freeze ice in. This is not somewhere we will stay at again.

Close to beach and great fire pit for after beach.

This house was great, clean, with some very nice amenities. The outdoor shower was perfect for cleaning up after sailing, playing at the beach and hikes before going inside. The outdoor picnic table and fire pit allowed us to enjoy nature in the early morning and evening. The rooms were comfortable and quiet downstairs. If you have a someone in your group who needs to be cared for at night (such as a small child) or early in the morning in the kitchen, be aware that the bedrooms are downstairs so you can hear movement upstairs. It’s not a negative, but it’s good to know! We would definitely stay again. We met the owners on our last morning and they are lovely.

Hi my name is Karen and I've been hosting properties in Maine now for about 2.5 years and I love it! I have been vacationing in my my entire life and was finally able to purchase a vacation home here about 15 years ago and haven't looked back, lol. I plan to retire from and make Maine my year round home in the very near future- this will allow me to be even more involved in my property rentals. My husband and I take pride the homes we share and really try hard to make them comfortable, current and stocked will all your necessities. I love the beach, sea glass hunting and crafts. My husband is also crafty and very handy. Not to get to sappy but MAINE IS OUR HAPPY PLACE!
