The Crabby Paddy is a very homey, bright, and cheery unit that is a really short walk to the ocean!! Simple, yet charming decor throughout that makes it feel so cozy. You'll feel right at home with all of the amenities and then some. There's nothing like a quick walk to the ocean to hear the waves crash & wiggle your toes in the sand of the Forgotten Coast. Spend the day at the beach, but be sure to come back to watch the gorgeous sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. You can even build a fire on the beach and roast hot dogs or S'mores while watching the sunset! When you're not enjoying the beach or the two pools that are on the property, relax in the Crabby Paddy w/ fresh paint, clean, simple, stylish decor to make you feel quite cozy and comfy. If you do not head out and enjoy the freshest seafood ever at one of the great local reastaurants, the kitchen is loaded for the cook! The bathrooms have fluffy towels + other amenities so you can leave some things at home, but don't forget your bathing suits, your fishing poles or fave beach toys! Happy Beachin'!

Amazing stay!

The property was everything we could have hoped for and more! Eve was easy to reach and responded immediately when we had a question. There were even board games for us to play when we had a rainy day and couldnt go to the beach. During our stay, there wasnt a single thing we found ourselves needing that wasnt already there! Overall, I have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend this beautiful condo for anyone looking to take a relaxing vacation! We will definitely be back!

Davenport Vacation

We loved the Crabby Paddy and Eve was a wonderful host. The condo was perfect for our family and we enjoyed spending our vacation on our favorite beach. We will definitely be coming back again!

Crabby Paddy Stay

Great location & House

We will be back! The townhome had EVERYTHING you could ever need! We had gone shopping before arriving and we didn't need to buy anything such as trash bags, paper towels, soap, dishwashing pods, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great place

This property was the best experience I've had to date with vrbo. The owner made every possible effort to supply everything we might need, and then some. The only thing that could be improved was the cleanliness of the glassware. And that could be improved by having the housekeeping team check that guests clean up after themselves better.

Great!

Exceptionally clean. We really enjoyed the coffee bar. Short walk to beach. Very quiet community… we took walks every night w kids. Eve was very accommodating and I always make sure to rent from an actual owner vs a big company because communication is so much easier. Will def look here first to rent if we come back to this area and hope it’s available! Thanks again

My new home away from home

The BEST unit in Barrier Dunes. Clean, fresh, and well appointed you could swear you're staying in your own house. There is nothing to lack for when you show up. The owner's directions and communications are spot on and very detailed leaving nothing to question. Bottom line if you want a great place to stay this unit is for you. I really appreciate the effort that Eve has put into this property to make it the best!

Nice and clean

The property was accurately described. It was very clean. We enjoyed the pickleball courts which were in close proximity to the townhouse. A short walk to the beach. Eve was hospitable and more than willing to assist in any manner. Checked in with us via email to make sure all was okay. Thankfully, nothing went wrong during our stay.

Clean, comfortable and cozy

This unit offered all the comforts of home, so many small touches that made a big difference — large hooks around the house for hanging towels, a well-equipped kitchen with lots of utensils for cooking, and beach chairs, umbrella and a wagon made the 5 minute walk to the beach fast (there are stairs to get over the dunes, but overall the wagon saved us from multiple hauls to the beach!) The host was super responsive when we had a question, and the home was impeccably clean and comfortable. It is located in a great condo community that was quiet yet active. The pool and pickleball courts are very close, which were kept immaculate too. The beach access was easy to find/get to, and the beach is very family friendly (making it more densely populated). We felt right at home and would definitely come back to stay here when visiting the Cape again!

Visiting the Cape

We were just on the Cape for a few days of fishing. The accommodations could not have been cleaner nor could the host have been more helpful. I’ve stayed a the Barrier Dunes many times and this property rates at the top.

Comfortable and Organized: Value!

Our stay at Crabby Paddy was lovely. The community is pleasant and the gulf water is pristine. Although we kept the thermostats around 76, the upstairs living quarters had a hard time keeping cool . However, considering the extreme heat advisories in the area, we assumed all air conditioning systems were taxed . The assortment of iced teas were much needed and appreciated. Also, the coffee bar is super cute however I think the cleaning staff might need to change the options as most had recently expired. Overall, the unit is pristine, nicely decorated, and the beds sleep beautifully. Hopefully next time we can have access to the upstairs bathtub, however the hot water in the bathtub downstairs did the trick healing from an unfortunate sting by an ocean critter. We loved Eve’s thoughtful snacks , notes, and commitment to cleanliness and organizational design. She clearly has high standards and we respected her commitment to our comfort and will be back soon. If you choose to stay here, treat the home as if it is your own, as she clearly loves this property.

Best place we've ever rented for a beach vacation! The house is exceptionally clean and well organized, has everything you need for a comfortable stay, is beautifully decorated, and is very cozy. Eve is a great host, super quick to respond, welcoming, and accommodating! Great location, good amenities, and everything you need for a perfect beach vacation. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous trip

The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a great trip. Kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed including a great spice collection. The beach wagon, umbrella, and chairs were a pleasant surprise. My grandson enjoyed the pool and the playground. Would love to return.

Crabby Paddy is Awesome

The overall stay was great. Even thought there is no cell signal on the peninsula, the wifi at the Crabby Paddy is Amazing and all of the restaurants have wifi as well. The stay was peaceful and overall great.

I am a beach girl at heart. I grew up in the Virginia Beach, VA area and spent a lot of time at the beach growing up. I have always wanted to be back at the beach and have a property that was fun and comfy to visit with our family whenever possible. We have lived in Texas for the past 23 years, but also did a stint in the Midwest before moving to Texas and moved back to the Midwest again for a job change. We found a great place on Cape San Blas to escape the cold occasionally, but also share it with you! This property is managed by us and not a property management company, so we care about this property very much and are readily available should you have questions. We hope you love it as much as we do!

This property has been freshly painted, updated furniture, and stylish decor was added! The beds are nice and comfortable. The kitchen stocked with hopefully anything you need to make a fabulous meal. We love this property because it is a very quick walk to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico and it's beautiful beach! The neighborhood, Barrier Dunes, is full of friendly people and low to no traffic for kids to ride their bikes or scooters. Cape San Blas is a small beach town without any of the large hotels and crazy nightlife. We want you to come have fun but also relax at the beach, the pool, or on the deck! Enjoy!

You have all the comforts of home with two comfortable beds!

BATHROOM:
Linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap/toilet paper, hair dryer in each bathroom for your convenience. Should be enough to get you through your stay!
KITCHEN:
stocked with pots, pans, casserole dishes, serving pieces, plates, bowls, utensils, knives, wine opener, blender, mini waffle maker, and pretty much anything you need for meal prep.
+Basic spices (and then some), paper towels, mayo, ketchup, mustard in frig (and then some) should be enough to get your started and possibly for your whole stay.
+Cleaning supplies under the sinks if needed.
+Snack jars on kitchen counter stocked with candy and nuts (or possibly other type of snacks) for your snacking pleasure!
+Charcuterie board to create your own masterpiece.
COFFEE BAR:
has a dual Keurig with options for a K-Cup to make a single cup of Joe, or to make a whole pot of coffee. A few coffee pods and coffee grounds provided to get you started along with sweetener packets and a few flavored syrups, too!
BEACH:
2 Boogies boards, 4 beach chairs, 1 backpack cooler, 1 umbrella, 1 beach cart to haul items down to beach, 2 Kadema paddles + ball, beach towels. 1 fishing pole and large white bucket added.
+Games (Scrabble, Checkers, Backgammon, Scattergories, What the Meme, Cards of Humanity, a deck of cards), and some beach reads. +PIckleball paddles in shed where beach items are located. Bring your own tennis rackets.
